i've been doing this in south florida since 74. I just picked up two tool boxes with tools in them. I bought a 85 C-30 for $110 and I've been using that for 8 years now.
Ouch! Looks like time to get a truck with a 8' bed! The thing with the cord, foot pedal and air hose is a device for precision dispensing of fluids and is used in manufacturing, for example when a half drop of locktite or oil is needed. Besides, who doesn't need an air hose?
It’s too bad you trashed that grill at the very beginning. Most times it’s just the Venturi tubes that need to be replaced. I have picked him up gently, added new tubes for 20 bucks and turned around and sold the grills for over 100. Plus I have one of my own that I kept, I have been using it for over five years. Still going strong. Sideburner and all.
I nearly did that to someone one day. He had moved away a bit to chat to his neighbour. Bugalugs here jumps out to grab his edger and he came running over "HEY!" 😂 He wasn't happy but how was I to know. Worse though, I once spotted some great stuff, you know what's coming now don't you 😀 an awesome heavy duty toolbox with tools, industrial vacuum, tradies rechargeable radio. Cut the cord from the vac, was putting the other stuff in the boot when this tradie came from a few houses down. Yep, not for verge collection lol 😊 Omg I was so embarrassed and felt terrible, particularly since I'd cut the cord on the vac. He was really good about it, said he could rewire it, but ever since that happened, I make damn sure there are no tradies within 2 blocks 😂
It is a GREAT day! Some of the electronics make me salivate!. The two things with three layers of copper wire windings are called "variacs" used to control voltage to something under test. Available in all kinds of sizes! The mystery box with the two pressure gauges on it is for precisely dispensing materials, such as oil, grease, locktite, glue, and so on. The product to dispense goes into a cylinder resembling a syringe with a tiny brush, or blunt needle of whatever size. Very popular in production, and always puts out what you have it set for, using compressed air to push the syringe. It has been a long while since I set one up for production, but I remember the squeal from accounting when we sent in the PO for a half dozen. The soldering stations are also rather nice, great for small work! Let me know if you have plans to sell the other small stuff, and what you have. I've been retired for over 9 years now, and still don't to get away from the hardware!
I used to know someone that did scrapping. They had a big shed that was split in half. On one side was a work bench and tools to fix or disasemble things and 50 gallon barrels for all the stipped down wire. The other side was for all the scrap until they took it in. They had another shed for anything they were keeping for themselves or to sell. The sheds were to keep all the stuff out of their yard so it wouldn't become an eyesore and get neighbor complaints. Happy hunting.
i done that for years , you got to learn hot to acomodate the things you get get a axe made of steel even the handle will never break , and chop of the ends of stuff to fit more stuff in your truck , remember area is money
Great video. Nice load. Floor buffer was a great score. I got 3 of them from a school that closed down and that cast aluminum is heavy. I'd like to se a video of you fixing the sides. Keep of the good work
You showed the thing I had most about scrappers, when they find computer monitors and or flat screen TV's you all have to cut the cord off and leave the rest there giving people who repair them false hope and more work.
That thing you don't know what it is well I know!! Its a voltage regulator that hooks up to that soldering iron to do micro soldering. . Its about $300 to $400 USED!!!
Well you messed up by leaving those boxes I've electronics with all the fans the one with the piece of coax on the back was it antenna tuner worth about 400 bucks
The scrap lads in England usually load the trucks up way higher than you and also have there own kind of rounds ( routes) it’s an unwritten rule that you stick to your own route and don’t stray not anyone’s patch so to speak .
used to worth it here recycling price for steel...not worth it basicslly not enough for fuel used..should have gotten monitor..circutry has gold...set up for lose money first time after that cash in..old 60s tv counsloes like 60$ in copper..also tubes for collectors

@Cherryblossom Plumtree - 😁 I'm still mortified that I did that. Lucky for me he reacted so well. Maybe it was the little dress I was wearing 😉

Saw something a while back, sign on a boat, free boat, just take, don’t bother people in house. Wonder which neighborhood put that on there.
FYI, if you sell stuff on ebay, those microwave glass plates can be valuable if the size is right. I see them from $17-55 dollars. don't toss them
Nice cage on the truck !
What happened to the metal shelf you put on your truck?
never mind.
Does anyone know if Charles is still making videos. ? It's been a long time

Why not keep a sawzall in the truck and cut the wings off the bar BQ grills so they fit in the truck better.
I don't have a cordless sawzall.
@@Floridascrapper get one lol
Fred Sanford, I thought you had the big one.
I love trash pickin. I don't do scrapping per say. I sell the stuff on craigslist. Made $200 yesterday.
Take the 2 box's all good stuff
Bet your neighbors would like you to put some fencing around your yard to hide some of your junk from view. ( suggestion only, not criticism.)
BBQ is bigger than your truck
Amazing
Why not just take all 3 boxes?
U should of grabbed all 3 of the boxes metal is metal and I could of Sort through the boxes

You should see all the free stuff in back yards, all you have to do is open the shed door, it's a gold mine of free stuff.

Your truck "runneth over."
bad luck strikes: code enforcement rolls up as you're unloading.
