- Doug Frazer has rebuilt a 1916 Australian made motorcycle. Amongst his collection of British bikes his pride and joy is a 1938 BSA V twin. But the original version of the bike was not a performer so Doug built his own version of the motor from scratch.
Faaaaaaaaaantastic, mate. A true blue enthusiast with out-of-this-world skills. More power to you. Brilliant.
What an utter legend! Someone get this man a pint of bitter and a firm handshake!
You are a top notch machinist to ne able to do all you've done. I am truly impressed. WOW what a v-twin you created.
He really is a genius
I would love to see him and Alan Millyard get their heads together to make a bike! Boy that would be something special!!
A gem of a film. Marvellous.
I've always thought a V-Twin built with BSA 441 or B50T would be interesting.
Doug: Just ran across your video! Loved it! Had to chuckle as you made it sound so simple designing, engineering, manufacturing your one-off Beeza V-twin. I want to know more about it. I'm in Los Angeles, a collector, with mostly BSAs. In my collection is the oldest known BSA (early 1911 3-1/2 hp) in my living room, a lovely, all-original paint, etc. 1938 G14 1000cc V-twin, an ex-Dick Mann BSA Gold Star, original '69 Rocket 3, and rather too few (!) other tasty two-wheeled treats! Next time you're in Southern California, there's a bike in my garage awaiting you (you choose), helmets from which to choose, riding gear, and amazing places to explore here! Let's ride!
Holy shit thats a smart fella.
Excellent work mate . You have done a wonderful job
Us now: Put on Kevlar armor, paddings, helmet that can take a crash at 60mph.
People then: Jump of a flimpsy bike with no protective features whatsoever and ride like a mad man
Good on ya mate 👍👍
Fantastic 👍
What a fantastic achievement. Keep history alive.
I have been searching for this bike for a few years now...the V-twin done with two B33 engines is a marvel! I'd love to know what kind of price it is worth? Well done Doug...as I too am a BSA rider.....BRAVO!
I dont know if you could put a price on it...such a one off. Cheers Kev.
He has made like 4 or 5 Bsa’s now
cool
Great!! We also have classic bikes on our channel
where are you currently on outskirts of Melbourne even I lived there in Fairfield I was there in 1999 I came to Australia as a student now I live in India
The starting procedure of the 1916 homage bike reminded me of my fathers Raleigh moped when I was a lad in the 1960's. It was probably the seed that started my life long fascination with motorcycles. Regarding the delightful V twin, did you build prototypes before the final complete bike? Is there anything you would have done differently in hindsight? Beautiful workmanship by the way.
Nice story Geoff. I am the filmaker, not the guy in the vid. But I think Doug just went anb built it from scratch.
Fantastic !!!!!
Great job. Can you make a vee twin for me?
