giving away my tools

  • In 2020, I started my woodworking and UA-cam journey with a small set of tools. Some bought, some gifted, all of them basic. They weren’t the best, but they got me started.
Since then, I’ve built countless projects, learned a lot, and been fortunate enough to upgrade my tools along the way. But looking back at where it all began, I’ve realized something important.
This video is about that realization. About where I started, how far I’ve come, and what it means to move forward.
Watch until the end. There’s something I want to share.

The generosity of doing this will reach far beyond the individuals that you gift these tools to. Kindness has a habit of rubbing off on others down the line.
People you will never know will also benefit from either learning new skills or having special items made for them, or projects attempted that would never happen without the first step.
If one person goes on to form a special memory because of this kindly act, how wonderful is that!
Jesper, in a small way you do this in every video you produce. Your gentle and warm delivery broadens the minds of your audience, makes people think and to appreciate the real values in community.
Thank you for awakening minds to bring a positive perspective into the life of others ❤

It is also giving them another life, saving landfill, and hopefully, as you said, kick starting a new life long passion. We are very lucky in what we do to be given the opportunity to upgrade out things. I have already passed off a few of my starter tools, and others I have been given that I do not use. I always smile when I see one of my old tools in another makers video being used. It is like seeing an old friend.

In the spirit of giving, Knowledge is first, the tools to use that knowledge are a close second. Way to be Jesper! You give both!

Well done you passing it forward. But you had fun times with these tools - a little sadness in giving them away but then they can be put to good use by the recipients. Take your right hand and place it over your left shoulder and give yourself a pat on the back.

It's a pity that you don't have a spare, old, workbench to add to the gift... That might have come in handy for someone 🤔
