    Hi. Thank you for the video. Do you know the way to make opportunity splits to work with ETM?

    • @Rotive
      @Rotive  Рік тому

      Hi Mary, I don't know about this. I don't think ETM connects with Opportunity Teams, though I'm sure you could use a Flow if needed to fill out the team based on the primary owner.

    What is best practice in regards to having 2 opportunity owners tagged to a single opportunity? Is it okay to add both on the opportunity team with the same Team Member role of "Opportunity Owner" OR is it best to avoid this by having a validation rule that only allows 1 distinct Team Member role per opportunity?

      @Rotive  Рік тому

      Hey Jeremy, There will always be one person listed in the opportunity owner fields on the record. You can't have two users in that spot. That's, of course, where opportunity teams comes in to play. I think it's fine to have two "owners" on the team. Just know that one of them will be the technical owner of the record which should matter if you're reporting based on the team.

    I saw I can enable the splits down to the product level. I cannot for the life of me, find where to add the product level split. Any ideas? Thanks!

      Not sure why it takes just asking the question for the answer to just come to you but if anyone else is looking for this, edit page in the lightning builder and instead of trying to add a related list, it is actually a standard component so on the left, search Opportunity Split and it will come up! Both editing opportunity as well as product splits are there!

    It looks like someone missed something when setting up Opp Teams; when we add a Team Member, they don't have access to edit the Opportunity (confirmed their access is set to Read/Write). Was there a step missed to override the Read Only Access on their Profile?

    • @Rotive
      @Rotive  Рік тому

      Hey Sarah, If the Profile has Read Only access to an object you won't overwrite that with the Opportunity teams setting. There is no way that profile can edit that type of record. You probably want to set their profile to read/write and then change Organization Sharing Rules so they can't edit opportunities they don't own. Permissions are tough because it's controlled in a few places: Organization Wide Sharing, Roles, Profiles, and Permissions.

    Can you add overlays into a forecasted pipeline?

    • @Rotive
      @Rotive  11 місяців тому

      Yes you can. You just need to create a new Forecast Type and it will give you the option to forecast Opportunity Splits and then you can choose Overlay.

    Is there a way to allow up to an "x" number of splits? For example, I can split the opportunity with up to 3 members?

    • @Rotive
      @Rotive  11 місяців тому

      Absolutely, you can have three members. Just add additional splits in that split edit screen. There is a button in the lower left to add row. I do believe there is a maximum limit, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

      @@Rotive Thank you! I want to know if I can configure a maximum limit to avoid splitting the opportunity more than 3 times. I'll continue searching. Thanks again!

      @@marrevaldez131 I see now. I don't think so, but not sure. Curious to hear what you find out!

      @@Rotive Hello again! I pulled this off by installing Rollup Helper. Below are the steps:
      1. Install Rollup Helper
      2. Create a custom field on the Opportunity object of type number.
      3. Create a rollup, using Rollup Helper, that will count each split (funny enough, you can't create this rollup using Salesforce) and save the count in the field created in step 2.
      4. Create a validation rule to check the number of splits on the field created in step 2 (if its greater than three trigger, the validation).
