I think Israel's demise may be foretold in the Old Testament Book of Daniel chapter 11 verses 13-16 in the King James Version. Here's what those verses say:

My understanding about the robbers of thy people in Old Testament scripture is that they are the false Jews (aka the synagogue of Satan/ counterfeit Israel).
