nothing beats the sound of a mud truck pulling up to the job on a crisp, fall morning,. really dig that little trailer. thats perfect for what its being used for. definitely wouldnt want to pour anything bigger with it. have you ever thought about trying 10ft handles? ive been using them for 7 yrs and theyve been great. alot less sag. i have 1 3/4" and 1 3/8" handles that are 10 ft. i use the smaller handles on windy days as it seems the wind doesnt grab them as bad when brooming and theyre definitely lighter to use. they do fit my bullfloat but i mainly use the big handles for that.
Good job Ron. I totally agree about the lamp post. When the dispatcher was filling the buggy, I thought… when is he gonna Stop? More content with Rotor-Bub pls. Congratulations on 40k subs.
A proper job has spacers of concrete tied to the rebar, specified clearance to the face, specified frequency of use. Position of the rebar determines the strength of the slab. Pulling up mesh while laying might look good but walking around in the mix is only going to push it down again. I see videos of concrete driveways being lifted up to be replaced. The concrete comes up in slabs, the rebar underneath comes up in sheets. They are supposed to work together
The wire mesh should be supported by spacers holding the mesh at the right height. To just lever up the mesh as you pour the concrete seems just poor practice. Saves a bit of money !!
I remember my ole boss made an adaptor to put a broom on the end of the bull float for the long broom finishes it worked pretty good for drive ways, ive poured a lot of concrete in my day but I’ve never seen a cement trailer like that 😂
Ok, who forgot to carry the 1? LOL My cousin did a short order once and as soon as well noticed he said CRAP I forgot to carry the 1 LOL. We never let him live it down, and he never made that mistake again. And how awesome is you got a driver that knows what hes doing?
Had a contractor friend I would help when he occasionally poured concrete. Every time I helped him it rained and we would be short on concrete. He never learned!
All the mixes I’ve seen you using appear stone rich, or sand poor, I would ask them to increase the sand percentage a bit at a time till the stone piling up at discharge stops, it appears to close fairly well with the bull float, but there are always a few places the aggregate can still be seen till you re-float it, an increase in sand will help a lot. That trailer is pretty trick, I haven’t seen one like it before. They used to have actual concrete trucks that operated like that, I think they called them horizontal mixers, Saunders Redi-Mix had one in their museum if I’m not mistaken. I know the local farmers bought them when they went out of service to use on the farms to mix their fertilizers. I just watched a video of some guys using a rope setup for brooming, with a guy on either side of the pour it worked pretty slick, not sure if it was homemade, but it worked.
@@gjones5153 Yes it would, but the mix is still boney, harder to place boney concrete, and the extra sand would give it a boost in strength as well. I personally don’t like the round aggregate, I always used crushed limestone, just my preference. This young man knows his stuff, he mentioned the boney issue during the beginning of the pour. He does quality work.
Mailbox post inside the driveway. Homeowner is ALWAYS right. Until he realizes after people pull in and hit the mailbox - that you do this for a living. Great job. Concrete is h a r d.
👍🇺🇸Good stuff brother. Keep up the good work! How long does the concrete have to set before you can knee board? Y’all move pretty fast w/ it & It seems like u would sink with the weight.
Does the municipality complain if you fill in their potholes along the edge with concrete? Just wondering about the nice new driveway that still has a pothole at the edge of the road...
Now that made alot of sense. Loaded it in the truck and transferred it to that pull behind. WTF didn't the truck just take it to the job ? Circle T Baby Circle T !!!
Beautiful job guys! That mail post looks like a target for disaster to me but the customer is always right.
Yes it has target written all over it lol
Look's like Professional Work!!
Thanks Tim.
Nothing like repeat customers!! Big man looking like part of the crew!
Another good video keep them comin old timer
I grew up tending for my Dad . Brick, block concrete thats why I became a carpenter . LOL. Tough dirty gritty work . I appreciate what you do. Cheers

The mail box placement is kind of nice you can get your mail without stepping in the mud or grass in the rain.

Thanks uncle Jim. Ya we didn't need that much mud LOL 😃
I like how you say it's just good enough sometimes but I'll tell you it looks perfect thank you for all the great videos appreciate the content!!

Thank you captain obvious. There not a Mason that doesn't know this
What is the point of pulling up on the wire mesh when they walk on it and push it right back down?
The stone holds it up. It’s supposed to be in the bottom 3rd of the slab for strength
The wire mesh should be supported by spacers holding the mesh at the right height. To just lever up the mesh as you pour the concrete seems just poor practice. Saves a bit of money !!
Looks great nice job as always ya have a great bunch of guy’s working for ya

Neat how those knee boards glide on that concrete
You saved the day!!

Nice recovery Ron. Glad you were able to get enough.
Had a contractor friend I would help when he occasionally poured concrete. Every time I helped him it rained and we would be short on concrete. He never learned!
Yankee ingenuity is still alive in upstate NY. Keep working.
Interesting video on how you fix a shortage

A jitterbug would push the stone down

In the old days we used to turn the truck upside down and shake. There’s always a little left at the bottom.
Nice work brother.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Why do you not keep the screen off the ground when the mud goes on top?
👍🇺🇸Good stuff brother. Keep up the good work! How long does the concrete have to set before you can knee board?

Nice driveway well done. 😊👍
Can you have a different shade with 2 loads ?
Nice work (as usual)...🙂
hint extra air intrainment, saved 600 yards in one week dallas contractor listen to the mesh police lol
Yeah, someone's gonna back into that mailbox with a trailer sometime...but customer gets what they want.
Just call for a cleanup on the cleanup
Send the new guy for the concrete stretcher
130 👍's up BB thank you for sharing 😅
BBQ slab with the extra lol
You guys aren't far from where I grew up
I suspect that the concrete costs less than the equipment to make it and move it. Is this a correct guess?
Doesn't walking on the wire grid after pulling it up defeat the purpose, hmmmm?
this could be graet for a mud demon pump
great job but floating the edge is a step you can stop doing, striking Roding does the same thing. It makes it flat/flush/even. time is money.
Not like you Bondo to be short. Blame it on the NG😂😂😂😂😂😂
You do good work Bondo. Hehehehe
Does the municipality complain if you fill in their potholes along the edge with concrete? Just wondering about the nice new driveway that still has a pothole at the edge of the road...
We fixed the pothole with blacktop after the concrete dried.
33:26 you can see the black patch to the left of the cone. The white spots in road are just dust from cutting the driveway.
Lots of rock and not enough sand.
Just order your clean up amount and bridge the wet so you can create a seam IF YOU HAVE TO WAIT A LONG TIME. Oh well.
I hate when that happens
last driver most expeience bondo T 555-555-5555 LOL
Can you estimate the cost of that little pad?
What p.s.i. concrete do you pour?
4000 PSI
Think he little to excited about who the concert drivers are.
Tying a dog to a trailer is probably a bad idea!! Just sayin'....🙂 @8:44
Don’t be so ridiculous.
@stevenbullock913 He's right. Someone could not realize and get in the truck and drive off. Haven't you seen Vacation?
Now that made alot of sense. Loaded it in the truck and transferred it to that pull behind.
WTF didn't the truck just take it to the job ?
Circle T Baby
Circle T !!!
Y
Amateurs
I also think you need to go back to basics and lear how to calc concrete.
They can only bring 11 yards on a truck. I think it’s just click bate
No dowels into the existing slab.
shame to waste that extra concrete.
I am curious if they were that close to the plant, why didn't he take it back to the plant and let them make blocks out of it?
Ive noticed in almost all of your videos, something goes wrong.
I think maybe you should try another profession.
LOL You obviously are not in the trades business buddy.
