I mentioned it to you at Adepticon, but you're actually the reason I went over and purchased my first set of Infinity. Corvus owes you some kickback. Great video Ash. I am definitely gonna mount my poster board mount.
They’re lovely people and take care of me just fine with their friendship. Hahaha
More build videos please, love your critique and opinions/idea through the building process
This is super helpful thank you. As you always say the 3rd player is the terrain and its great to get such a thorough tutorial on how to get the most of the starter pack
I've got to +1 the "moar hobby building plz" comments. I love learning hobby hacks, and I'll bet you've got a few to share.
This was superb! Exactly the kind of content we need more of in the hobby. I love seeing the different tables in all your videos. Very excited to see how this one grows!
PS There's even more of a sneak peak at your Haqq at 10:52 - I see the much maligned Shakush is ready for action! Beatiful paintjob as usual :)
That might be the best intro to building a Infinity table I've seen yet, the fact it was on a budget was just a bonus.
You can prevent damage while ironing stuff by putting some kind of cloth or non flammable paper between the iron and the poster. It's what I did for a long time flattening out posters at a graphics shop
I have piles of fabric I could have used too. I’ll probably scrap this one as I’ve got a couple of these posters and give it a ago againS
Fun fact about that pencil and space pen meme. After initial testing, USSR cpsmonauts had to have fancy space pens designed for them too. Turns out having tiny flecks of pencil lead lift off the page in zero-g and then float around looking for people's eyeballs to land in wasn't ideal.
More importantly, the lead (which is graphite and always has been) is an excellent conductor, so if it got someplace bad it'd cause a short and even a fire.
Because I love the space pen story I'll add from history.nasa.gov/spacepen.html "Fisher developed his space pen with no NASA funding. The company reportedly invested about $1 million of its own funds in the effort then patented its product and cornered the market as a result.
Fisher offered the pens to NASA in 1965, but, because of the earlier controversy, the agency was hesitant in its approach. In 1967, after rigorous tests, NASA managers agreed to equip the Apollo astronauts with these pens. Media reports indicate that approximately 400 pens were purchased from Fisher at $6 per unit for Project Apollo.
The Soviet Union also purchased 100 of the Fisher pens, and 1,000 ink cartridges, in February 1969, for use on its Soyuz space flights. Previously, its cosmonauts had been using grease pencils to write in orbit."
Love this! Shared this with some non local friends considering getting into Infinity. Look forward to seeing you expand this concept.
Great video idea, i really enjoyed watching this; its given me ideas for my set-up
Fantastic looking board and great idea for a vid! Would love to see budget board builds for other games like 40k/AoS
Can't wait for the follow up! Great work. I love seeing the process and hearing your thoughts on materials and what's on offer.
Cool stuff. My favourite card terrain is the Core Space game terrain:)
What great video. Seeing the way Ash put the buildings together will be useful when I buy another pack of that terrain. I had a real struggle getting my first pack to go together. The mat for this set looks more usable than the one I got, which is printed at an angle.
Doing the Lord's work.
Excellent video! More of these please.
Nice! Very inspirational video.
I love making tables of terrain. I just wished I had more space to store it all lol
Good stuff! I like cardboard terrain - I have a lot of Battle Systems terrain - mostly I leave the walls / roofs separate to save storage space but it's lovely stuff to use. Would be interested to see how it compares to the Tinkerturf stuff and other card terrain.
I have practically everything BS has made and one set of TinkerTurf that I haven't assembled yet. TT is made from a thicker card and so it looks like it's sturdier than BS terrain but obviously you lose the option of building it multiple ways. I think the art on TT stuff is quite good but short of BS stuff.
What a cool idea! Do you have any other old-school hacks for fantasy terrain for games like Frostgrave/AoS? Wondering if those platforms would work well for Frostgrave.
You can definitely make them into both dungeon and outdoor fantasy terrain with just a tiny bit of work
I need some ideas like this. I finally got down to painting up some basic crews for the game.
Had the game for years, but never learned how to play.
Wish I knew you needed terrain for the weekend. I've got totes I could have dropped off to the gaming floor 😂
This is awesome, love this kind of content!
I gotta get some of those clamps. Took me a bit to figure out the CodeOne starter set ones.
Definitely need to glue the holo ad displays. They fall apart really easy.
The Bora clamps are so handy for cardstock terrain.
Some great little tips!
Great video Ash, nice tips. Keep it up!
What dimension are these panels? 10x10x.50 inches and 10x12x.50 inches?
I really like this video!
Great video
Those cheap wood block platforms are genius.
Although not cheap in the UK it seems 🤬
For the life of me I can not find the wooden easel things. Is there a chance of a more concrete example?

That's just an example on the web. You can buy these almost any dollar-store style shop in the arts and crafts section.
Have you used Acid House Terrain? Wondering how the Tinkerturf cardboard compairs, I've enjoyed the Acid House sci-fi set, I've kept it in foldable form though so that it can easily pack up, it's not really intended for gluing.
Also, what models have you painted up so far for Bahram (or is it a secret for a later video)? My hungry eyes have purchased more Hassassins than I'll be able to paint in the next year, lol.
You’ll see tomorrow in the escalation kickoff!
@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames looking forward to it. Appreciate all the detailed videos.
Holy sh1t!!! So so so good!!!!
Inspiring
Hi Ash,
I like your video build great idea and not bad for people on a budget !!! I would
Like to see more terrain builds!
I have the same knife 😅
Nice! Did you varnish/seal over the top of the poster mat to help prevent it from being scuffed and torn?
I did! If I wasn’t in a hurry I’d consider giving it a roller of mod Podge which I will likely go back and do
Wait wait… did you say a new tinkerturf ks is on the way? I was looking into getting some of their stuff and am definitely interested in this news
I just know they were running one hahaha I have no inside info about delivery at all
Fun fact, fancy space pen vs cheap pencil is a bit of a myth. The pen was developed because having the graphite dust and broken bits from using a pencil floating around was considered to be a risk to the spacecraft. 🙂
Hi Ash could you do a similar thing for warhammer 40000?
I could
@@GuerrillaMiniatureGamesit would be great to see I am on a limited financial budget and to have a sort of guide like this for warhammer 40000 would give me some great inspiration for my terrain
Same for Malifaux and Fallout Wasteland Warfare (that one might be a bit more challenging)
Don’t have a cow, man!
You know when an examiner advises not to fill an essay with fluff and filler or repeating things for the sake of it, just to make the essay longer? That is what I felt watching but in particular listening to this video. Hopefully you will take that as constructive criticism.
Different courses for different horses.
I quite like the easy conversational flow. I pop it on the side whilst I'm doing the washing up or building teeny tiny worlds.
This is super misleading. How is this an infinity gaming table ?
It’s the base tier ITS game board? There are three tiers of game sizes in ITS and is designed for beginners.
