- Another new member of the "remaking old videos club". I recently felt the impulse to rewatch this one, and thought I'd revisit it!
"Before You Watch" is my UA-cam series where I talk about an anime spoiler free. That way, people who aren't sure about watching it or not can get an idea about what they're getting into beforehand.
"You dont need to read the light novel ".... Well yeah because you cant find it anywhere, the light novel is a treasure hunt in itself
"If you pity my existence, please eat me."
You captured what I loved about the show really well, thanks for the video. Mediator and Assistant sibling energy forever! Also, nihilistic, monkey’s paw, cute fairies are the best.
the fairies are indeed the best this is factual
This is an absolutely awesome review.
I think this is likely to get a lot of new people into the series, which is great. It’s a smart, hearty show that really renewed my faith in modern anime when I first saw it (ironic, given the title),
I remember back when I first saw the ED in 2012, I was immediately intrigued: the singer is so good! And the visuals are artful and very fascinating when one realizes that the entire ED actual depicts the entire history and end of the world in it
Thank you so much for watching!
I adore Nano.RIPE
The ED is really nice. Sadly, I can't find it on Spotify.
I was watching this recently and loved it! Wanted to see if anyone had talked about it and found this video, I'm really glad to see someone else enjoyed this series as much as I did.
I love Humanity has declined and am happy that I got the Blu Ray for super cheap.
Honestly the fairies are just human civilization on fast foreward.
I would love if somedeay they would translate the Novels. Aperantlya there are some huge twists that the anime did not really got to.
I’ve always wanted to get into it, but never found time to watch it. That was 5 years ago. Brought it up again, hopefully I’ll get to it this time! Thanks for this ^^
I believe all of the episodes are deliberately out of order, in fact the entire story is purposefully told backwards.
Woah really? That's really cool!
@@rely_able Yes, revisit the show and you will notice it. The last events in the story timeline are episodes 1 and 2.
For example she starts episode 1 with short cut hair. Her hair was cut short at the end of episode 6 as part of her punishment for sabotaging the electric power. This is also why she was helping with the chickens and stuff in that episode.
Episodes 11 and 12 take place at the beginning of the story timeline wise.
why? i hate when episodes are out of order. its why i dont rewatch "darkwing duck"
Glad you remade this, get more people to watch it
Also love the thumbnail
Thank you!
The fairies are somewhat a metaphor for technology itself, I think. Also, they represent humans in a more extreme way, and they are also just one more way the humans messed something up. In a way they symbolize technology replacing humans, while it is similar to us. Our ways of doing things are part of it.
Thanks, I was pretty confused on wtf was going on in the first two episodes, this gives me way more clarity
I'm happy to see new fans being brought to this decade old series. I really enjoyed it when I first watxhed it, but it has always been sort of a hidden gem.
assistant my beloved
thank you once again for a great vid!
this one is such an unique anime and so much fun wwww
I couldn't agree more!
Man you are super talented in making thumbnail
You deserve more views and subscribers :O this is one of the most concise and pleasant reviews I've ever seen for anime
I hope you gain more popularity
Thanks, i already watched Jintai years ago but i don't care, i still liked the video❤
Time paradog
Whats interesting is its not in chronological order.
Each story arc is in order in 3 or 4 episodes. But the last story arc you watch is actually the start of the story.
Its like 9-12
6-8
3-5
1-2
Or something.
I needed to explain the faires in this series, and your video has the best explanation
Enjoyed the video keep it
Made my morning
dudette, i love your art style!
So I recommend Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō I think it's up your alley I just remembered it after after the summary you gave
Dude I legit have been wanting to watch that but I couldn't remember the name so thank you for telling me. xD
@@rely_able don't worry every time one of your videos pops up I wanted to recommended it but I also forgot it. Ps what's your feelings on Modern Disney cartoons like amphibia and the owl house?
Oh, well both are great from what I've seen of clips. I know the bulk of their plots from spoilers. I've yet to actually sit down and watch them yet. But Amphibia especially is right up my alley, I love the color palette, backgrounds, and frog designs!
Nice;y put together and simple video. Great work.
I love this anime, and hate it simultaneously. It hurts my head to think about it, but in a good way, like trying to solve a Rubik's cube.
Also I believe the story is told in reverse-arc order. (The last arc shown is the first, and the first is technically the end, I think?)
And I wish I had found this video before I watched the anime. Would've helped me make sense of what was going on. (I still am so many levels of confused, but now my head hurts less thinking about it.)
I don't regret watching it.
Your voice is so pretty 😍
This series is very underratted to me... I wish more reactors would cover it.
Uhhh, do you use a voice modifier...?
Nope! Real voice.
50% ? are you sure about that?

Yo
:)
:D
I don’t know if you review manga or stuff like that but soloist in a cage is too underrated and there’s not many people to talk about it with. I’d recommend you to read but I’ll have to warn you they often go into some pretty dark topics… that’s just a heads up.
p.s your videos are soo comforting
