    Enjoyed your sail to Punta Concepcion. Did you guys not go into Mulege? It is a wonderful town. My boat is a 30 foot trimaran with centerboard and Rudder being able to be lifted for shallow water. Shallow water boats can get into the river just east of Mulege. Then you can kayak up stream to the restaurants. Glad to see you are having fun. Any idea the weight of the Roster fish? How deep down was it speared? Impressive fish.

      Hola, we only stopped at Bahia Domingo, Mulege was all funny with Covid and was closed to gringos. we hope to visit on the way down, as we still want to go inside of Bahia Conception.
      the Rooster fish was amazing, tasted like pork meat. it was around 40 pounds and he shoot it at about 7 feet. they hunt at the surfice! We haven't seen any rooster fish since. :-(

    Which charts are you using for Mexico with OpenCPN? is it CM93?

    • @SailingBohemia
      @SailingBohemia  3 роки тому

      Hola, its different charts for different areas, the accuracy is not great, we hardly used CM93... best is to use Shawn and Heather cruising guide book on the CPM. Hope this helps

    Enjoyed your video. We still have our Apache Tears that we found hiking in the same area.
    I hope it is ok to ask the following questions. The short and fat antenna on the port side of your stern pulpit, is it a wifi or cell booster antenna? How will is it working for you and what is the brand. What receiver or router is it attached to?

      @SailingBohemia  3 роки тому

      Holá, that short anthena is for Iridium go... It allows your emails and weather forecast to come through.. nothing else though..no internet

    YOu might want to do a little research before just spearing anything that comes across your tip. Roosters are not worth eating, typically, and Mexicans do NOT like it when you kill them. They are a sport fish that is strictly catch and release. Oh well, live and learn.

      Here we go again…. Social media would not be social media if it wasn’t for those posts originated from lecturers, preachers and “Know it all” of some sorts… You seem to be very keen on doing what is the RIGHT thing (to you at least…), well maybe you should apply that exact discipline to your comments over this video… It would have been clever to ask how it tasted, and how many people it fed, and wonder if we knew anything about fish … then you would have discovered that all 8 of us ate on it for a week, and that it tasted as one of the greatest fish I had for a long time… Catch and release it is great, but no WalMart here to get your steak on the way back home…and we all need to eat.
      As far as the Mexicans handling their marine resources, I would not take that as a premium example of what to do or not to do.
      Not interested to ask but pretty quick to judge !! Oh well, live and learn…
