Great video. A bit intense for me! I just had to tell myself that I’m seeing the danger and you 2 are still here. Good job Allie on the Volcano hike. Interesting ending of hiking up to the volcano. ❤
I have been on the beach North of Puerto Libertad with a strong wind coming from the west. It pushed the water up to the beach, the swells so high I was looking up at them. Fantastic!
By the time you hit the top of the volcano, my legs were really aching! Great job. I was surprised to see you eating a Baracuda, but many people don't know that the Pacific Baracuda is fine to eat and very tasty. Many years ago a buddy and I drove down to Guaymas from SoCal to fish. We hit a school of Baracuda coming back in from the day's fishing and literally filled up our little skiff with them. When we got to shore we passed them out to all of the campers and the locals. What a day. Hey, did you think the Baracuda was good? Thanks for the ride down memory lane to Cabo.
We try any fish at least once. We enjoyed the Barracuda. Hasn’t become one of our target species, but definitely wouldn’t pass them up on a hungry day. Thanks for watching and commenting!
You are a Legend Aaron for throwing out a fishing line while sailing in a surf break. Curious if there is a regional diet difference with bonito that changes its flavor. The ones I caught in So Calif are bait at best. Cool seeing Eloise just chillin, beautiful ol girl.
Haha thanks! Someday I’ll learn to stop throwing out the lines scaring Allie with all my chaos😅 We’re not sure about the Bonito differences, unfortunately we didn’t do any fishing passing through California, as we could not afford the out of state license. We like to eat the Bonito here, but definitely find they are best when eaten completely fresh. The faster to the pan the better. Thanks for the compliments😺
Great video footage of the waves. What time of year we're you there? Well done on that hike.. really hard. Getting down .. must be just as challenging 😅
Nice video🤙🏼Fantastic videography on this one whilst keeping it fonky. Current projects aboard my w32 are making me feel like Baja is getting further away instead of closer but I will remain persistent. Hey, can you give me some info on the chain…is it black galvanized? I will be renewing my ground tackle in the near future. Thanks for sharing the vagabond lifestyle. 🤙🏼.
Thanks! The chain we have is G4 HT 3/8” x 150’. It’s standard zinc galvanizing, we’ve had it regalvanized a couple of times. When ever it starts to rust. If you have old chain there is a place in Seattle that does a good job. Emerald City Galvanizing. Wish you luck with the projects! We know how daunting and time consuming they can be. Hope to cross wakes down south!
Aha, now I know why you didn't catch up until La Paz... you were f'n around spearfishing and hiking instead of sailing😂 What do mean you don't have tide charts for the Canal de Ballenas? You've got Starlink! I know Mike and Katy on Allegria has 10' seas coming down that channel. Because I use my Starlink (couldn't resist) I had less than twenty knots and 4' seas. Stuck in Banderas Bay currently hoping to escape northbound on Sunday. Hope all's well on Spy. My eggs are yearning for a safe place to hide.
The spearfishing and hiking is always getting in the way😆 Fair enough! We could have turned on the Starlink and tried to google tide and current charts for the north sea, but we were already sailing into the channel...We left thinking we were sure we would beat winds... we're only going 12 miles... it's going to be an easy sail... 20 knots max.... No worries.... Right?.... Confessionally.. we didn't learn about where to find charts showing current until we caught up with you, and you showed us how to find them on the windy app!😅 As always we are hiking and fishing somewhere behind you, but we are about to make some big leaps from Z starting Thurs. Sorry about your eggs... That's awkward for you.
We had to move because the winds were coming from the north and that anchorage was completely exposed to the north. We knew the wind was coming but it built up faster than we anticipated. Thanks for watching!

Thanks! Yes, we couldn’t make the video of the ocean had swallowed us😂 One of our favorite hikes!
Excellent cinematography!! Great job...
Thank you so much!
Not always fair winds and following seas. It certainly gets the blood pumping. Thanks for the video.
Certainly not! The hard days make the easy one that much more enjoyable. Thanks for following along!🙏
I hope you are well, we will see you again soon, This time you have been gone for a really long time, I wish you all the best
Best regards

Sick waves.
You got my respect when I saw you made a proper rice with that fish.
Thanks for noticing!😂

Great clams la gringa in the gravel shores
Yes, don't know if the rules have changed, but only Mexican residents are allowed to harvest shellfish.
nice video !
Thanks!
