Cute and easy DIY macrame gnomes (3 different ways)

You can make macrame gnomes (or some call them macrame Santas) in many different ways and in this tutorial, I want to show you a couple of different ways to make them. They are so easy to make that you don’t need any macrame skills plus the supplies needed are cheap or you can even use scrap yarn from other projects. Plus you can make this into a macrame kit and give it as a gift as well.
I'm showing you two different ways to make the gnome hats and how they look using different macrame yarn thicknesses.
I also love having mustaches on the gnomes so you can't see the holes of the wood beads. You can add some extra charm if you braid the beard or the mustache too.
1. inverted Lark's Head knot hat gnome (with or without braided mustache and beard)
2. regular Lark's Head knot gnome (with or without braided mustache and beard)
3. brown wooden bead gnome (with or without braided mustache and beard)

Materials needed
⭐️ 4mm ivory macrame cord amzn.to/409aTTP
⭐️ colored 3mm macrame yarn or 4mm macrame yarn (colored I used: green amzn.to/3QbhhFo , blush amzn.to/409dgWD , rust amzn.to/3s27ObA )

⭐️ scissors (I love using hair-cutting scissors)

How do you prevent the cord from being pulled through the bead?

Yes, the cord can definitely pull through if you don't brush carefully. Mine was fine. You could add some glue inside after inserting the cord if you are having issues.

How do you stick the cord in the hat to hang it?

I just inserted the knotted loop for hanging into the yarn bunch before tying off the hat.
