I made a couple of these macrame Santas as well as angels for Christmas gifts this year. Two of the people including my mother that I gave angels to had a fit over the Santa gnomes. I was able to make one just in time for my mom but still have one more to make for a friend. Thanks so much for sharing this tutorial. You've made some people very happy by showing me how to make these! ♥️♥️♥️ PS- Btw, I made optional stands out of wooden beads, wooden rings, and chop sticks for my larger angels so they can be displayed standing on the fire mantle. My friend has requested the same stand for the Santa. I'll let you know my alternate method for making a stand for Santa once I'm finished.
Los tutoriales que realizan DIY son buenísimo , enseñan paso a paso y pocos son quienes enseñan tus proyectos y eso se agradece, además de que lo explican es genial .
Reasearching for written material about macrame I found your great PDF. From your PDF I visited your channel and it was a great emotion to find this wonderful video. The first thing I made when I learned macrame (last December) was this Gnome as Santa Claus in a workshop as part of psycological treatment. Now I´m helping the psychologist during the workshops and the pdf is another didatic resource I want to try to introduce to the participants of the workshop. Even considering that nobody can understand English, I´m sure they will understand the photos. They are very clear, very didatics. Thanks from the deepest of my heart.
This video covers a great craft for teens to make for friends at Christmas, and a perfect gift for friends and family. Thank you so much for this tutorial, you did a great step by step job!
That's a good point, luckily it doesn't make too much of a difference- this is one of those projects that you can just kind of go with your gut and do what feels right! Those are my favorite kinds of projects :)
The ones I use for fringe are either my Gingher's or my Kai scissors, both are great but the Gingher's are my definite favorite! I have a post right here with links to both of those: www.marchingnorth.com/best-scissors-for-macrame/
They're a combo of both- I found cute stuff in the button section, the scrapbooking section, and there was a big holiday end cap with cute little mini ornaments and craft supplies for making holiday decor and I grabbed a few from in there as well. 😊

Beautiful 😊 Where can I be get really sharp scissors like yours please.
Love all your gnomes.one question how long do break off the roving for the beard?
Really enjoyed.
I'm having a hard time finding the cute embellishments....are yours buttons or mini ornaments from Hobby Lobby?
They're a combo of both- I found cute stuff in the button section, the scrapbooking section, and there was a big holiday end cap with cute little mini ornaments and craft supplies for making holiday decor and I grabbed a few from in there as well. 😊
@@MarchingNorthare the ones that are not buttons like stickers? I will be looking for them too.
Love it❤
So easy so cute❤
Great tutorial:) do you find that the larks head knots on the wooden ring for the beards loosten? I find mine do. Do you ever add glue to them?
I've been making alot of these the last couple weeks and I put a tiny dab of hot glue on back of knot.
Sometimes they do and if I remember I'll add a little glue just in case 😊
Love these!! Where do you find the roving??
Lindosssssss 👏👏👏👏
Amei 💞
What color is the macramé cord for the beard option nr 1 and 2
