My cue file says disk image. When I click on it, it’s says cue file. When I check in the folder it’s says disk image.. Is it ok to use that file to burn?
For some reason this never worked for me, i always get the please insert playstation format message or get dropped into the music player. However, old burned discs from the late 90's work for some reason. And it's not the region lock. Maybe mine has a different modchip that also required modded games? Who knows... I have a lifetime to figure it out.
hey pls help i was burning pink panther for ps1 and i burned it sucsesfull however when i put it in my ps1 it recognise like a cd r audio like a music and the music tracks are perfectly good however the ps1 wont boot in the game it will boot in music player pink panther has like 20 tracks isos and one cue so i did those 20 tracks and made them in one iso could that be the problem
Isn't burning at max speed bad for the laser-reader in the console? I don't know how true this myth is nowadays but I tried burning at slow speed and the game didn't boot at all. Others that were burnt at max speed booted just fine and play well. I don't know what's your opinion on this?
So far from my previous experiences, the only thing that damaged my laser back in the day was over-heating of the machine itself. Ever since i got a new one most games work perfectly fine and i have a fair share of them. So it is all truly just a myth. The AWS speed is by far the best choice because of the ps1's old files having to be written in that way for them to work correctly. Slower write speeds are only to be used in ps2 dreamcast or other newer console games. So yeah, there is really nothing to worry about with the speed. I've been playing for a year now and had no problems with it. Hope this helps!
my writer's speeds go up to 56x, and i always use the option AWS (MAX) so in theory, it should be good to go, just make sure the burning process goes smoothly for the first time before trying it again.
you will need to have both files, the cue tells imgburn what to do, and the bin contains all the game data that will be burned on the disc, to put it simply, one is useless without the other
What will happened if you burn bin or cue in PowerISO and/or UltraISO? Is it safe if you select one instead of two? Since I was planning to have one of those Games for my CD-Rs and DVD-Rs for PS1 and/or PS2 Console in the Philippines.
i am not entierly sure about the ps2 games since i dont burn those, and i dont really use Those programs, but i imagine that every burning program out there would do the same, I just use IMGBurn because it is a very simple program, so i would recommend that, but if they act the same as IMGBurn, then i suppose it would work
The ps1 will either have to be internally modded/chipped or possess a modded memory card in order to play burned discs (which you can buy or make yourself). I believe there is one other method to play burned discs where you swap out the discs quickly, but otherwise you will need to have it modded in some way.
@@fresurt13 Yes. That CD will work on modded/chipped PS1. Not PC. Alternatively you can run the CD with emulators such as Duckstation etc for use on PC.
the verification just checks the files so that both the program and you can see if anything went wrong with the burning process, which in this case you do not have to worry about anything like that at all. And from my own past experiences, the verification process is not actually needed, and you can play the games as soon as they have been burned onto the cd
that is strange, maybe there was some sort of writing issue? i never had problems with multiple bin files before. If you are able to you could maybe try to get the game from another site that provides it? since i have tons of games i can assure you that changing up the sites is a good idea once in a while.
@@onixday4 Thank you for your reply. I tried many different sites but it didn't work. I do not have problems with games with two files, but unfortunately if there are a few thousand files, it does not happen.

That could work, just make sure console modifications are legal where you live before taking it to someone who can repair it. And make sure everything works alright before burning new games!
There could be a couple causes for this. The first and the most likely one. When you insert a blank CD into your pc you will get a prompt that asks you what to do with the CD. If its going to be used as an usb like device (you can get rid of files and place them whenever) or if it could be used as a normal CD (can only be burned and no changes can be made after the burn) however. You should not select any of those as it automatically installs an invisible file that basically makes the cd operate the way you wanted it to. Hence the "disc is not empty" screen you were getting. Second possibility which is highly unlikely to happen. Either the format is damaged or imgburn isnt operating right So what should you do? Get a new blank cd and when the selection screen that asks what should the cd do comes up don't pick anything and just close the window. Then burn your game on the cd without opening the cd itself or tampering with it at all. Hope this helps you! :)
