    I’d take a Lexus over any other luxury brand. They’re just so well built and reliable. I love the looks, even though people say it’s a “controversial design” and the Mark Levinson sound system is one of the best.

    • @naveenthemachine
      @naveenthemachine 2 роки тому +8

      Well built yes. But what exactly is stopping you from choosing a Toyota Highlander platinum? It’s just as well built, just as nice, same reliability but more tech and less cost. Also the Highlander hybrid blows this away

      @@naveenthemachine personal preference? I love Toyota/Lexus products but if cost is no option I’m going Lexus all day. Better materials, quieter cabin, better looks and the mark levinson sound system is worth it if you have the money. That said, a Highlander is certainly an amazing vehicle and nothing to scoff at. I drive a Camry and love it, but if I could afford it I’d have a GS Lexus. Nicer vehicle. Just my opinion.

    The hybrid is a real skill to use tbh, I’ve driven different Toyota and Lexus cars and the way you play it is “feathering” the pedal. If you watch the hybrid gauge and keep the dial below the halfway mark then you’ll keep it in ev for much longer. It’s complicated but once you get it you can really push the hybrid far. I like it.

    Especially in this F-Sport trim it’s sick looking. This generation been around for a while since 2016 but it still looks brand new and can still hold up to all the brand new competition. This Design was definitely ahead of its time. A new generation is around the corner.
    My only wish for the new generation is for Lexus To make a performance above the F sport trim maybe give us a F sport “performance” model like the IS500 V8 I honestly feel this SUV is perfect it just needs a powerful engine.

    I have a 2008 RX400H, and she’s at 225k, had to recently have a new ABS Actuator installed, out of warranty, but other than that, she looks better than most of the new cars on the road. Years ago I saw one turn on, and the swooping HID headlights had me sold. But old girl is getting up there in age, and I’ve been learning towards the new RX 350, leaving the hybrid behind. There’s just too much that can go wrong with the hybrids. The list of parts that can fail basically doubles compared to RX models. 🤔

      This car is underpowered by about 60 horsepower, if you compare it to the Camry V6, which does 0-60 in about 6 seconds. For the most part, a 0-60 of 6 seconds or less feels quick. The ‘23 500h is adequately powered, with 366 hp. Good power to weight ratio. The other models aren’t going to feel very nimble but not everybody wants or needs that.

    Did you ask Lexus why the 450h needs premium gas while the 350 uses regular?Since it's the same engine, is it the CVT that commands it?

    • @maximefortin6507

      @@laloajuria4678 Agree, and from the published figures it doesn't seem like the 450h engine would have been modified enough compared to the 350 to justify premium gas requirement. So I wonder where it comes from.
