I’ve noticed that on many of your videos, cadence is often the most important part of your advice... for many things!!! I’ve definitely noticed the difference even only slightly paying attention to that!! Thank you so much, love your videos !!
No wonder why my legs and lower back been hurting this helped so much thank you I haven't been able to run much this year but I now know how to get my running formation again Thanks man
Thank you, coach Nate and all other Run Experience coaches. Watching and learning from you guys along with my runs are the only breakthrough that I could turn to in this crazy, frustrating time. 🙏❤️ So hard to carry on life with smiles today. 😢
I want to congratuate you for an amazing video done right. You film yourself during the whole video with great creativity. Good practical advices that must reap benefits in a short and long term. Thank you
I was happy to hear you mention bare foot running. There are many benefits to either incorporating it into your training or going all in and ditching the shoes.
This came right on time: litteraly about to go on my long run and I noticed that lately I start running heavier... Not really a lot had changed though, so I didn't get it... Running on Brooks Adrenaline GTS20 normally on the road, so nice and cushioned, super comfy.... Since I'm about to run more off road than on road today I put my Brooks Cascadia 14 on already. Already feel the difference in how I walk and stand 😅 Will also mind to engage the core and glutes more and put my focus back in the run by switching up my route... Awesome tips again, thanks! Yay for TRE💚, now let's go for a run! 💪🏻🏃🏻♀️
Running with a metronome is a good idea too! It’s the most boring run, but doing a few months with a metronome and you’ll have your ideal cadence memorized.
I have a metronome/ 180 BPM song on my iPod. I used it all the time for a while and now, mostly when I am tired if I feel I a may be slowing and need it.
For running faster, I usually count my steps and try to do more steps on the next mile...."example: 5k race, count for the first mile and if I like the time for that mile try to maintain...if want to go faster, try to do more steps for the 2 and 3rd"
Thanks for the video. Quick question, I'm looking for similar headphones like you're wearing that you can hang around your neck and secure over your ears. Mind sharing what brand you are using?
It is the brand aftershokz,I have them to..they are awesome.you can still hear your feet, traffic, nature and still having music or my training app when it's giving instructions
Try barefoot shoes. It is the best. I had aches and pains in my leg until I shifted to it. It moves you to natural footfall which doesn't let you to fall on you ankle which is the root of all problems.
I was not running but my mom yell at me for stoping loud walking like people was sleeping some of my family was awayck like I can't controll I stop loud I am gitting talll and I have heavy feet
Why u on make a bag of noise is that the plantar fascia is weak .If u strengthen the soles of the feet u will make less noise and possibly run faster if u can increase hand speed
Honestly I didn’t hear anything you said because I was too busy trying to figure out what was in the background. I’m convinced it’s Contra Costa County, like Pleasant Hill or Martinez, but it’s probably somewhere in the South Bay or something 🤔😅
I got shin splint from running too hard so this really helped. Thank you.
Me too😂
I did focus on my cadence this morning and yes it was helpful, not to mention my daily pre/post run yoga stretches too!

Thank you so much this is what I needed to fix my jogging/running issue. Running shouldn't be painful or annoying but fun and enjoyable
Love the way you teach live while running demonstrating, thanks, that helps more than just static
theory

Love the videos and help.I'm not built like a runner (I was a rugby union back row) so I'm very heavy footed. Thanks for the help
Very impressive video, how Coach Nate can make a video, explain, and hold the camera without being noticeably out of breath!
Kudos👍👏👏👏👏
Great video! It's amazing how running lighter can help so much with your body and improve your times!
amazing.... I was searching for this type video to begin my running .thank u
This is great thanks Coach Nate! I'm getting back into running and have so many fears on running injury and these tips are great!!!!
do stairs or hill repeats to strengthen the calves
So brilliant Nate
Great advice that I'll take into account on my next run!

Thank you so much for this video, I am a new runner and this helped a lot! X
Absolutely love this video my friend.

agreed!
which metronome do you use ?
I have a metronome/ 180 BPM song on my iPod. I used it all the time for a while and now, mostly when I am tired if I feel I a may be slowing and need it.
MetroTimer for iOS
Just subscribed!! Will definitely keep watching your videos! 👏
Welcome aboard!
Thanks this helped a lot I never noticed this before 🙏
Barefoot running on the soft grass running track is the best. An amazing feeling 👍
Great video thanks Nate
You guys make pretty useful videos, keep up the good work
Thank you for the tips! May I ask what camera and holder you are using? I am amazed by how well your video is stable as you run.

As my coach said 'you sound like an elephant running'
Lmao same
Same
Good stuff. I like it
Thank you i been heavy on my feet for a while now
your such a life saver
We are very glad to hear that! 😀
So a long stride may not be ideal? I try to run faster by taking longer steps rather than just pushing quicker normal stride steps
Way to rep the STRYD! Love mine.
Hi 👋 which Nike shoes are you wearing

Are u guys in Canada Vancouver
Nope! We are in Nor Cal!
San Francisco Bay Area to be exact ;-)
Would of been absolutely epic had you put your shoes on the wrong foot. 😂. Awesome video!
I was not running but my mom yell at me for stoping loud walking like people was sleeping some of my family was awayck like I can't controll I stop loud I am gitting talll and I have heavy feet
I weigh 85kgs and my foot strike is pretty loud, I try and change my technique but naturally just seem to go back into a loud stomp
Anyone know if running heavy could cause injuries to shins?
yes
Why u on make a bag of noise is that the plantar fascia is weak .If u strengthen the soles of the feet u will make less noise and possibly run faster if u can increase hand speed
My gymnastics coach was so annoyed at my running haahaha.
ive always naturally been very heavy footed and waddle when i walk.
I tend to be a stomper when walking, so you can imagine when running 😂
Some of these comments are wack 😂 this was super helpful
That first few seconds were... like nails to a chalkboard
yeah but at least I don't need to tell people I'm overtaking to get out the way
6:26 Itna ameer banna hai bas (i want to be just this much rich)😂😂
Cadence is actually key
🤩
Zero drop!
Zero drop!
Zero drop!
İmportant!..
Shoes with no heels
This is for jogging, not sprinting. Just put this here for the kids.
I miss roads.
I weigh 380 :(

I noticed this too looks like my Grandpas neighborhood in Walnut Creek, the style of house are a giveaway
Dropped your phone
I thought it was cause I'm fat
Guys you have heavy feet because of all the padding. Get some barefoot shoes‼️‼️‼️‼️
I had a pair which is worst in cushioning and i used to curse them but now they are my favorite after watching this video😂😂
Imagine if this guy was black and filming this video... 😂
Why would that matter,
Josh Faulk Ahmaud Arbery
Who’s that
Josh Faulk I would recommend looking it up sir.
