Hello! Thanks for trying my recipe! I'm glad your family loved it! Some of your followers came to my channel and told me you did a few of my recipes. Thanks and God bless you. You did a really good job. Also, yes the yams will cook quicker if they are out on first. if you get in that situation again you can cut the burner off and leave the lid on. it will stay hot for atleast 10 min. They are supposed to be soft though.
who else been here since trish ''cooked'' eggs for 10 min on a stove that wasnt on and now were here ? did not see this glow up coming lol feel oddly proud :) it all looked really good
Wow she can cook more meals let’s give her an award so does her being able to “cook” make up for abusing boyfriends and having sex with people while they sleep ? Which she’s never acknowledged nor apologized for
My mom is a great cook and she also learned to cook during her first pregnancy. She had zero cooking skills before that. You're little girl is going to have a great mom.
I can say that this is seriously a first. There is such a calm and loving energy coming from these two in this video. I am so thrilled that Trisha seems to be at peace. Moses, thank you for showing her what it truly means to be unconditionally loved. It’s brought out incredible potential and healing energy out of you both. ❤️
You can’t give Moses all the credit. He was an influence for sure but Trish had to want to change Trish and act on that for this new version of Trish I love! I’m proud of our girl!
Honestly Trisha trying so many different cultures foods is amazing her for her to learn how to cook. Like she really is picking up on different things and finding out things she likes
It's so sweet how Trisha is learning how to cook and improving at it so much with baby on the way. I can see her cooking fun homemade meals with her daughter and teaching her how to cook so she can grow up with that knowledge and a love for a variety of foods (something Trisha wasn't taught when she was little.) Make sure you cook and freeze some food for postpartum! Takeout will get boring and you'll probably be too exhausted to be in the kitchen. You can freeze a big batch of mac and cheese once you've mixed the noodles with the sauce and then bake it from frozen!
I've been cooking soul food my entire life. This was a legit video. it's very labor intensive and well seasoned. Your yams looked like they are supposed to (mushy included- I bake mine so I'll have to try the stove top method). You should be very proud of yourself and the amazing meal you cooked. Great job Trish. My family would approve you bringing any of these dishes to the cookout! You can tell Moses was REALLY enjoying the chicken and green beans! LOL. So cute.
I’m sitting here smiling from ear to ear . Watching u make it I was like YUP that’s how my black mother does it! Lol I knew y’all would like it. Ur progression in the kitchen is sooo fun to watch! Pretty soon you’ll be making ur own recipes.
You know what I love to see , You eating Trisha and really enjoying her food without fear of judgment from Moses all those times in the past of comments on how much you ate were disgusting. You definitely have found your soul mate someone you can entirely be you without shame or horrible comments . You are so comfortable now and it’s lovely to see , I know your daughter will have such a strong role model and you will never ever make her feel the way you were made to feel around food. You both are going to be such good parents 💕
honestly major kudos to you for cooking a feast like this while super pregnant. i’m not even pregnant and i just know this would wear me out! and everything looks so incredibly delicious you did a great job!
Trish you’ve come SO FAR in the kitchen. As a 10 year watcher here I’m so beyond happy for you and your growth as a human! Wishing you a safe and happy delivery.
Now this is what I call a yummy Sunday dinner. Yum!! It all looks so great girl!!! Pls keep doing cooking videos this is seriously my favorite series you do on all your channels!!
The classic 90s movie Soul Food had over 5 family members in the kitchen cooking. That’s why it’s called Soulfood Sunday and now most people cook this for only for the holidays. Went from every Sunday to twice a year. The most difficult meal and Trisha rocked it. 😍
Amen! You supposed to go to Grandma’s house every Sunday after church and help her cook and then eat like kings and queens, fellowship, and love one another. That’s what’s wrong with this world. They ain’t going to grandma’s no more. My bad, kinda went of course there.
Next time you cook green beans, use French styler green beans, minced garlic, onions, and bacon. Cook your bacon first (cut up) once they’re done add your onions, once the onions are cooked down some add your minced garlic, and then add your veggie stock and French style green beans and let it simmer for 10 minutes. I usually like to add potatoes to. It’s my FAVORITE way to eat green beans!
50yrs old from the South & I still swear by Jiffy cornbread mix, easiest, cheapest, & best!!! Not a HUGE Trish fan but I've got to give her kudos for taking to time to make this meal specifically at 8.5mo pregnant... I can't say I was that "inspired" when I was at that point of pregnancy. She's definitely cone a long way from butter noodles, got 2 give her that. Good job, honestly
i’m so proud of trish, she’s learning and growing and doing so well. for someone who never learned to cook growing up, she’s doing incredible learning now.
Moses' way of assuring Trish her food tastes good: "Yeah, its crispy" "Yeah, it's chewy" "Yeah, it's nice and warm" Moses only cares about textureeeee lol

Im irish and im delighted you used Kerrygold butter! My cousin works in their American company over there and i can say it is the best butter in the world. Anything Irish dairy is the best produce in the world! Our cows graze on the most fertile calcium rich grass, which is also why our country is so green. Loving the cooking!!
When marinating like that use a fork or knife to poke holes in the meat to let flavours soak in. During fall winter I make a candied yam pumpkin pie/cake/cookie treats with cheesecake. It is bomb. But candied yams are a dessert usually with melted marshmellows on top. I thought she made it that way once before though
SOUL FOOD Trish, SOUL FOOD!!! 😲 You took a difficult task but, ALL of it looks good. ■ Give the garlic a smash with the flat side of the knife or even with a can so it can release more flavor when marinating ■ ● It's better to fry in the DEEP FRYER because it keeps its constant temperature so everything is fried evenly ●.■ The honey butter would've added that sweetness to the cornbread■ ●Remeber when baking, you need to measure correctly, we all saw that extra milk 🥛 and pack the brown sugar 😂 ● ■You can add some Velveeta (maybe 2 cubes or 2-4 Tablespoons) to the mac and cheese to make it a creamier■... I was smiling the whole video, I'm so proud of Trisha. The Cornbread you can refrigerate, it will keep good for 3-5days. You can also portion the food, wrap them in plastic(cling), then some aluminum and you can freeze it for up to 3months. I put mines in ziplock after I wrap everything.
can we just say how amazing Moses is. how much he helps out. the way he looks at his wife with such love and pride. totally enjoying the domestic adventures. they are great together. i am loving all they are currently sharing. Good on them.
That looks so delicious 😋. I especially love how the macaroni and cheese 🧀 came out and the fried chicken 🍗. The food looks delicious. You did a great job Trisha. 💕😋😋😋👩🍳🍽🍽🍽

You see professionals and they make no mistakes and ill think how mine looks different or oops I added too much and it's nice to see realness. You could totally have a cooking channel for real families. You do a great job btw. I'm impressed! ❤️
Tips for southern fried chicken : use a paper bag or a gallon sized ziplock bag to toss the chicken in the flour mix. It's easier than the plastic container method and fewer dishes to wash. Also, use self rising flour instead of all purpose flour in the recipe. Throw a cup of grated cheddar cheese in the cornbread mix. You could also add bacon bits to it, real bacon bits. Chopped jalapeno peppers. All 3 if you want. Add about 1/4 cup sugar to cornbread mix to make it more like jiffy cornbread.
Also cornbread I add half reg sugar and half brown sugar and my top I use butter and brown sugar and honey oh and honey in my cornbread I do the cheese when I do my Chilli bake that's when I add the cheddar and jellepanyos bussin bussin
Looks amazing Trisha! I am a southern gal and I would love for you to make a pecan pie, which is very widely loved in the south. Here is my recipe if you want to try it! My husband LOVES this and he is extremely picky! *Pecan Pie Recipe (makes 2 pies)* 1/4 stick margarine 3/4 c. Brown sugar 1/2 c. White sugar 3/4 c. Milk 3/4 can canned milk 7 eggs 1 1/4 tsp. woooow i am so impressed!! you juggled so many things at once! great job, everything looked amazing. timing different dishes is definitely the hardest part of cooking
Let your butter or grease come to a boil then add flour whisk as you pour your liquid and turn heat down and your rue or gravy will come out perfect each time
I’m dying at 19:47 the baking powder 😂😂😂….you’re getting so good at cooking and improving so much ! So just a helpful hint …if you fully remove that foil thing on top there is a flat edge you can use to level the spoon as you’re scooping it out …so you don’t have to pour the baking powder directly on the spoon 🥰
Here’s a super delicious and EASY recipe for sweet potatoe casserole, peel and boil 6 sweet potatoes, I cut them into chunks just so they cook faster, add a few punches of salt after they come to a roiling boil. Turn heat back to muted/ high so they continue to bubble bu aren’t boiling over. Cook until they are tender when you stick a fork in them" drain, just pour them into a strainer, once strained put back into the same pot. Add 1/4 cup ( 1 stick of butter) and 1 tsp salt 1 tsp fresh pepper. Mash with a potato masher. Put the mashed potatoes into a casserole dish , next crush up 1/4 cup of pecans ( can just crush them with a rolling pin), 1/4 cup of corn flakes, crush up just by scrunching with hands, 1/4 cup packed brown sugar and 1/4 melted butter. Mix this together, it will be sort of a crumble topping, spread over the casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes. I have never taken this to a dinner and had any left, ever. Lol. This is one of those things that people keep going back even after they say “ I can’t eat anymore”. It’s a 30 out of ten...as Trish would say :)
@moses the way you know what spices work well is by experimenting with them and remembering what spices tastes like what. Then next time it will come to you. Basically a lot of trial and error. 😁

My best advice for Mac & cheese white sauce, is to gradually add in milk gradually giving breaks and whisking in between pours o only when it starts to thicken again do you then add more milk
