Thanks again Jim, one of the best spend 11 minutes on youtube since a long time. Especially the part where you explain how to sidechain the reverb and melody are very useful. But what to do with FX (sweeps) and snare / claps, would love to see how you would level / sideshain that to complete the mix!
In my experience you can just put these claps and FX underneath this layer. Just cut the bass ofc. You don’t have to sidechain these elements to the Lead Layer.

Thanks for sharing.i do believe the same sound could be achieved with far less processing much less instances of serum. You can resample your current sound in serum to a wavetable to keep building. A super saw wavetable and one oscillator will get you in the ball park with far less work

Honoustly don't stress it too much (the release, in case you make fast melodies). Just open the treshold as shown in the video, and make sure the Layer gets Wet that way.
yoo bro, i kinda gave up for a little while cos I didn't think i was getting anywhere but when i came back and started a new track I'm getting loads of harsh frequencies when i distort and i cant remember how to get rid of them, can you give a me any ideas?
I wonder how you sidechain the lead into nimble kick. When I want to sidechain my leads I can't hear anything unless I choose a pattern, copy and paste my lead into this channel where my numble kick is in and then it sounds awfull!!! Please help me where and how I can put my kicks into the whole song with nimble....

Hi! OTT is one of the most used over the top (OTT) multiband compressors! You can use it to basically 'spice up' some sounds, and really get that EDM feeling to your sounds/mix.
As for the fruity limiter (I think you mean the fruity compressor), try a tutorial like this:

I don't understand : when I do the reverb side chain in fruity limiter, I can't hear the lead and I just hear the reverb pumping without the lead attack

what was serum #5 lead? it was cloned from the raw lead and is the prominent one but wasn't shown what changes you made to it.

Question: if you use so many (the same kinda) leads and layer them. Are’nt you gonne have problem with your phase? Ive heard you saying that in another tiuturial that you should stick to like 5 or 6 leads.
Phasing really becomes an issue when you use similar leads. For example two very similar saw leads without a lot of detune. When you detune stuff, the saws get 'randomized' across the spectrum and the chance of one of those being the same all the time in your layer isn't that high or noticable.
5-6 in your total layer is fine as well! But adding more is fine too... 😁

Awesome tutorial. But alot of the initial setup from 0:00 to 4:30 is soooo fast and/or cut and you obviously added FX in the LEAD layer at 2:28 wich ends with the end summary to sound totally different even if I try to copy all settings in Serum exactly
You don't have to copy the FX 100% of course! Try to just think in broad terms/general and practice to get better at making a layer. It'll take a few times until you get the hang of it.
Just remember to make everything 100% wet, and seperate into proper channels & channels where stuff comes together (Total chords, total leads, etc).
Then add SUBTLE FX on individual buzzes or the total leads/chords like:
- compression
- OTT
- saturation

Yea this will destroy some computers... You'll have to render out some/all of the leads, just as we did in the template. You can download it here:

@@Kaan93DK It's a bit more work yea, but you can easily render multiple VSTs in a few ways:
METHOD 1:
prnt.sc/aR792yUtRSrd
File -> Export -> .WAV -> give name -> follow the steps in the picture attached above
(eg: split mixer tracks, and it will render each individual VST (make sure you DISABLE all effects)

@@OnPointSamples Still not showing up. I had to go to installation directory, go to system - plugin databases - generators and from there i need to manually drag it to FL wtf xd My FL don't detect that as a plugin anymore. It worked on FL20 if I remember correctly.
