If we want a safe, prosperous and peaceful world we have to do this hard work instead of jumping to the first conclusion our subconscious mind provides. I was also curious about this and it seems back in 2018 Trump made remarks when Leader Xi Jinping of China got rid of the original system of leadership, which was a ruler of China could only rule for a certain period of time, Xi Jinping changed the system to where he became a dictator/forever ruler of China for life. Tom, I am from PA. The fact he was a registered Republican means absolutely nothing! There are people in this state that will register the opposite from what they vote. I wouldn't put too much stock into the fact that he is a registered Republican. As you mention, that could be due to a number of reasons. I live in a state with open primaries so party registration is somewhat meaningless, and when I got my new drivers license at the DMV after first moving here, the lady seems to have registered me as Democrat without even asking. I never corrected it to Independent because, as I mentioned, it's pretty meaningless in this state.

I was also curious about this and it seems back in 2018 Trump made remarks when Leader Xi Jinping of China got rid of the original system of leadership, which was a ruler of China could only rule for a certain period of time, Xi Jinping changed the system to where he became a dictator/forever ruler of China for life. Trump made remarks that he thought this was good of Xi Jinping and thought maybe in the near future we could also have this kind of system (which almost felt as though he was stating that person would be himself). I wouldn't put too much stock into the fact that he is a registered Republican. As you mention, that could be due to a number of reasons. I live in a state with open primaries so party registration is somewhat meaningless, and when I got my new drivers license at the DMV after first moving here, the lady seems to have registered me as Democrat without even asking. I never corrected it to Independent because, as I mentioned, it's pretty meaningless in this state.
