In my teens and twenties, I did not appreciate this track until now in my late years. How perspectives and appreciation changes of time. This is one of the most soulful and spiritual sounds. It is sad, mysterious, intriguing, hypnotic and uplifting all at the same time. Tears, smiles, nostalgia etc rolls through. I like the girls dancers. Gentle, cool, collected and groovy.
So cool to hear a music that is unique and that you don’t hear often. I like the way the horns blend with the backup vocals. Must watch more videos of Afrobeat music.
Tosin Ariyo yup. He's a multi talented instrumentalist something wey modern days musician lack. How many of Dem fir play one instrument not to talk of multiple instrument
Great respect sir. I can't hold my comment. This is a legend we killed in this country for selfish reasons and lack of insight of his grifting, ingenious characteristics and blessings to this nation. Africans, especially Nigerians don't appreciate our own thing. There can never be two Felas till eternity. REST IN PEACE BABA. WE LOVE, CELEBRATE AND MISS YOU.
Who killed him? He passed through some trials like every social critic does. But nobody killed him. He was loved, followed, admired and appreciated by most nigerians. He died like most artistic genius who lived weird and unconventional lives. So the question of anybody killing him does not arise. He died of AIDS, according to his elder brother Prof Olikoye, which was not too strange given his lifestyle.
Is it only me who is hearing burna boy's pull up beat in the background? Much respect from Uganda 🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬 I am just thinking what he would sing about African leaders in this Corona lockdown period
I saw Fela Kuti 3 times in London. after the second show I went to see Fela Kuti , wanted him to do show and video it for tv. I know people who could do it. Fela invited me join the band and come with them to tour Europe, I was up to my ears in debt and fail to borrow money.
It's very early to give us somebody like fela bro bcos God really gave us when we really needed him most but we don't appreciate or listening to him at dat time until his dead so now we HV to wait for another 💯 years bcos bcos God normally create somebody like dat once in 100years
Henrids, You are forever my hero! Respect to you! R.I.P Baba!!!! We miss you!!!! But alas, we're now, more than ever, taking the fight to the 9ja Govt. WE WILL WIN, and dedicate it to you and Comrade Gani(R.I.P)! Can I get an AMEN?
, his music is so unique.... different instruments..... sometimes like off tone but perfectly insane! He created his own key! And he did this in the 70s he’s just far ahead of his time
General Mohammed Buhari killed him and he’s still killing many and imprisoning Nigerians that’s speaking against his non productive government e.g he has unlawfully detain Sowore up to this day.. shame
Anyone who is watching this..... keep on shining
Ride On

1970s, 1980s music...Africa was diversified in Music - good music . Still entertaining me during Covid-19 virus scare while I'm in lock down.
Age has nothing to do with music especially good music . The legend lives on forever. The flesh might disappear but the music lives forever
He did the hard work...laid the foundation that these young artists are standing on
