I feel blessed to have seen Fela perform many times, starting from when the Kalakuta Republic was located at Idi-Oro. Myself and my primary school mates used to go there after school and freely watch Fela's rehearsals. Of course, As I got older, I also paid to see Fela perform, mostly at big occasions, such as his performance with with Roy Ayers.
