Fortified against bots is S tier. It saves you against things that would kill any other diver in different armor. It comes into play constantly, giving you its benefits throughout your whole mission. Engineer is honestly very good too. Similar to Fortified, don't underestimate the 30% boost to aim accuracy. The grenade pistol isn't a replacement for extra grenades either as grenades are more versatile. From fire grenades against masses of bugs to stun grenades for those larger enemies. I'd honestly put medic armor lower because, while the benefits are good for survivability, it doesn't do much to help you actually survive the initial damage incoming. Other armors will allow you to survive to use your weaker stim where medic armor leads to a death instead. Padded also deserves a lower rank if you ask me. Most people look at armor values wrong, forgetting that helmets and capes give 100 armor too. +50 armor isn't as much when you consider standard medium armor is 300 armor, not 100. Padded medium then is just 350.
How to say "I only use explosive grenades" without saying "I only use explosive grenades". Stun grenades combo with the Quasar to save your life sooo well. If you're playing as a 1 or 2 person team and want to disengage or extract under fire, smoke is your friend.

@Troy211 No I don't waste reinforcements because I know how to play and no I don't try to just start fights all the time but I'm also not going to avoid them either because i understand how to fight and keep moving. Democracy protects should be literally top 3. Ive literally survived moments where I forsure should have been dead multiple times. Which saved me countless of games in general. If you run it, you’ll def vouch for me.
"Democracy Protects" perk deserves to be top 3 - 50% chance to not die is supremely vital on those missions where you have to kill as many Automatons as possible
Fortified and engineering kit got done dirty here. The recoil reduction is ridiculous. Makes the Liberator assault rifle laser accurate, improves your effective rate of fire with the autocannon, makes the HMG usable. I practically never go out on an automaton mission without one or the other.
Democracy protects is insanely good. You can cut your number of deaths in half and it protects you against so many random deaths from long range threats. It gives you an ability that no amount of player skill can provide
Engineer with incendiary impact Grenades is basically an instant stradegem. You can easily get 20 kills almost instantly with it, and it can close bug holes.
My go to is engineering, recoil reduction is great with certain weapons and builds, but also allows me to not relie on grenade pistol in all builds because im extra prepared
You underestimate how useful 30% less recoil actually is (even if you have to crouch or prone). I use a controller on my PC so I am able to notice the difference very well.
New heavy armor with engineering kit is my go to on any defense mission and you cannot change my mind, sure grenade pistol is good and all but you only get normal impacts, meanwhile with engineering kit i can be holding 6 incendiary impacts for bugs, or 6 stun/normal impacts for bots (eventually will be running acid once released) plus the added bonus of starting out with 4 grenades as opposed to 2 if someone decided to not run hellpod space opt.
I agree it’s very good. Most of my missions I get zero-two deaths and I do a majority of the work while everyone dies. Even when they try to bring the fight to me scouts are still lower priority on spawned enemies so the go to higher agro players as long as we aren’t seen. Level 127
I like the democracy one because it can give you a little more time to stim back to full health when getting pelted by bullets, which is real nice when you get ragdolled by an explosion or one of many other things, it’s just a good all round armour
Puting the engineer kit so low is diabolic, against bugs with a stahlwart is this a alrounder combo. The clear with the extra high fire rate and clearing out bug nests alone is a good member for a dive.
Your dismissal of the engineering kit is baffling. the extra two stun grenades are a bonus, the real star is accurate machinegun and heavy machinegun fire at full auto. That being said, if they put -30% recoil with weapon handling, I would never take that armor off for any reason.
Bombastic Engineering Loadout: Primary Weapons: Explosive Crossbow Grenade Pistol Impact Grenades Stratagems: Grenade Launcher Supply Backpack (Your Choice) (Your Choice) Trust me, you will not run out of explosives before you die. (I highly suggest only using this against the clankers).
Bro ain't no way he's saying all the scout and extra paddaning armor is good gear while all the rest is just mid or terrible. (Except for the Electro armor no one cares.) This man clearly has a bias and probably is the same guy runnin the Anti material rifle while being being hundreds of meters away from his team mates.😂
Everyone's complaining about the balance in Helldivers 2 while there's armor in the game that literally works like a get-out-of-jail-free card (okay, there's a 50% chance here)
I think that the engineer kit is great. It doesn't just give you more grenades, which seems to be the only metric you cared about. the recoil reduction is actually very noticeable. It's a very good armor passive for machine gunners
I love the servo assisted. I can launch supply packs way out ahead while running to the next objective and throwing a 380mm at a safe distance before teammates start blinding running around with grenades
My favorite armor for extra padding is heavy armor, making it super heavy armor and makes you feel like an absolute tank while getting hit right in the face by a literal rocket shot from an automaton RPG
Scout is goated for automaton stealth but Med-Kit imo is by far and away the most impactful passive especially with the experimental infusion booster. Being able to tank almost every enemy damage source for 6 seconds whilst running at breakneck speeds is the best feeling in Helldive diff
Med-kit is great for when you get swarmed by small amounts of damage, but is useless when you’re constantly getting 1-shotted. Democracy Protects is S-tier for things like eradicate missions and bot missions where you literally die faster than you can stim.
Democracy protects is and will always be my main. All because i was a running away from a Black Friday sized horde of automatons and getting shot and launched. I still lived with like 1 hp left
everyone saying scout passive doesn’t deserve to be top need to try it on. You are literally invisible to enemies. If you are with the teammates better, enemy will shoot at them first and last at you only if they notice you.
Engineering kit is a very good passive. The grenade pistol does exist, but it only shoots one type of grenade. Engineering kit gives you two more of whatever grenade you pick, namely stun grenades which are incredibly useful. You also didn't mention the extra recoil reduction at all, which is very handy for running any of the 3 machine guns or the autocannon.
Servo assisted is a goated passive That extra 28 meters really comes in handy, especially during bot missions where you don’t wanna be detected first Chuck a laser in first, then lob an eagle air strike, wait a bit and 90% of the time the heavy base is vaporized and you’re comfortably away from the base to avoid detection The other 10% is due to AI BS making the laser target heavies first before bases
Padded is insane for medium armor. Especially against automatons. It gives you a high overall damage reduction with 20% headshot damage reduction (150 armor) without being incredibly slow like heavy armor.
Having 6 nades(stun) and a jump pack has helped me clear strat jammers hell, you can even literally just run up to the panel, if you don’t have the jump pack, just by throwing 4-5 stuns So, yeah, it really depends on your play style
Scout is great for my playstyle which is, to join SOS drops, get my gear and then dissappear to the other side of the map completing side ops and getting the super samples while everyone else gets the main objective.
People are crazy for sleeping on Democracy Protects, it’s a 50/50 chance of you just not dying. I’ve been set on fire by hulks and I’ve survived way longer than I should because the perk keeps activating. Eating direct turret shots and getting back up will never not be useful. I feel like the goddamn restless gambler. WHEN IN DOUBT, ALWAYS BET ON THE HELLDIVER 🗣️🔥🔥🔥
The Scout passive with the spear is the best stealth loadout imo. I'll often go with 0 deaths on helldive difficulty when I run this loadout. And it's funny because most of the time I run around alone and still take oit half the objectives quietly.
Extra padding light armor is so good against bugs you can dodge almost anything except hunters and stalkers and you always have time to stim against them because of that extra armor
It really depends on your support weapons. 30% recoil reduction while crouching with the autocannon is game changing. Will make or break a fight if you can get rounds on targets faster
There is no ranking of passives since it always depends on the player. Do you prefer direct combat? Fortified or Engineer. Do you value durability more? Medic, Extra Reinforced, or Democracy if you're feeling lucky. Do you prefer keeping your distance from the enemy? Servo-assisted. Do you prefer a more hit-and-run style? Scout. Do you want to be the master of the sickest drip? Electrical Conduit

Bro should have went “For Solo Players” since half of these are extremely useful using with a team
As a person who loves going on stupid suicidal missions, democracy protects has saved me more than enough times. Sometimes just one lucky roll is all I need to take out a spawner and then go down and help out another front.
Padded medium then is just 350.
yup extra stim wouldn't help if you hardly take one in the first place
me surviving 10 bug bites thanks to democracy protects:
How to say "I only use explosive grenades" without saying "I only use explosive grenades". Stun grenades combo with the Quasar to save your life sooo well. If you're playing as a 1 or 2 person team and want to disengage or extract under fire, smoke is your friend.
My engineering kit with incendiary nades , nade launcher, nade pistol and supply pack:
- “Hold my liber-tea.”
>scout armor number 1
Yeah sure maybe when the devs didnt increase spawn rates and patrols. Not to mention patrols are magnitized on you now lmfao.
its such a lame play style any way. I dont want to play a horde shooter to just... ignore the enemies 100% of the time.... I want to blast crap. Scout is easily the worst to me because stealth is only fun to do a handful of times.
@@NeowMeowso you're running level 9 missions and trying to shoot everything? I'll bet you have a low completion rate. Trying to kill everything on 8 and 9 will have you stuck in one spot for the majority of the mission. The mission matters not your kill count. When I join a team with a player like you I'll use you as bait, knock out all the objectives while you stand in one spot worried about your kills wasting reinforcements.
@Troy211 No I don't waste reinforcements because I know how to play and no I don't try to just start fights all the time but I'm also not going to avoid them either because i understand how to fight and keep moving. I'm pretty much always the one doing all side locations and at least one main objective, I dont fail missions and I enjoy the way I play rather than just playing a running simulator running from objective to objective without doing anything else. It's a horde shooter. I'm going to shoot hordes. You want to take a game serious and act like you should only do objectives and nothing else you go right on ahead. Games are meant to be fun and I feel like people just forget that part of it and act like a game is your whole life.
@@Troy211this is such a mood 😂 I empathize
@@Troy211what's up with so many people in this comment section trying to be know-it-alls that keep insisting their own playstyle is the only viable and good playstyle.
You can like stealth, good for you. This is a cooperative game. Stop insisting on being or knowing better, and have some fun with your teammates.
The democracy perk saves me multiple times a mission (mostly to friendly fire ) and the lack of bleed out is just a bonus
Dude servo at 3 is the WORST TAKE I have ever seen! It literally makes no difference whatsoever if you’re running the vitality booster
Have you used it? 30% increased range is insanely good, definitely one of the better armor passives
Yeeting a stratagem into a shrieker nest or bot base from 50% further away is amazing though. If you're good at dropping them accurately it's a game changer.
@@chemistrykrang8065 i have so many hours on the game my throws (most of the time) are super accurate, I know the arc by heart, and that perk MASSIVELY messes up my throws
@@Kiwitherat545in specific situations yes, better for bugs than bots and I don’t play against bugs. I just get a bit pissed that he put fortified at 7, legitimately the best perk for bots, it makes the rocket guys useless
@@camthepenguin Fortified is at 6, and yeah I agree it is really good definitely not at 6. It might be the best one. That doesn't mean servo-assisted is bad. Servo-assisted is only good with some loadouts though
Never let bro cook again
What was he cooking with scout being ahead of democracy protects and medkit
His arguments are nonsense too. Just because grenade pistol exists doesn't mean +2 throwables are bad. If anything it's super good as the types of grenades give tons of flexibility to builds and value per grenade is super high
Democracy protects should be literally top 3. Ive literally survived moments where I forsure should have been dead multiple times. Which saved me countless of games in general. If you run it, you’ll def vouch for me.
The hottest take.
They aren't bad takes
Yeah this video is not bassed
@@karal_the_crazyyeah that's scout arm replacement was totally justified guys 🤡🤡
I run med-kit and have turned my Helldivers into stim-filled crackheads who are nearly immortal
Democracy protects is insanely good. You can cut your number of deaths in half and it protects you against so many random deaths from long range threats. It gives you an ability that no amount of player skill can provide
More than half because its not 1 use per live, it can save you mutiple times
What's the hidden passive on scout?
I believe it lets you see hidden POI's if you have the ship upgrade unlocked.
When you have 7 hulks and 10 devastators chasing you , that engineering kit comes in clutch with the extra stun grenades
Infiltrator Armor is still gold for me!
What level are you out of curiosity?
Man two extra grenades with incendiary impacts against the bugs goes hard.
Not to mention the recoil reduction.
Severely underrated here.
Your dismissal of the engineering kit is baffling. the extra two stun grenades are a bonus, the real star is accurate machinegun and heavy machinegun fire at full auto.
That being said, if they put -30% recoil with weapon handling, I would never take that armor off for any reason.
Whit heavy Armor when on mission against automaton:
"YOU SHALL PASS ME AN-*rocket*
MY SHIELD TO PASS"
Didn’t know there were armor passives, thanks man, you served liberty well
Bombastic Engineering Loadout:
Primary Weapons:
Explosive Crossbow
Grenade Pistol
Impact Grenades
Stratagems:
Grenade Launcher
Supply Backpack
(Your Choice)
(Your Choice)
Trust me, you will not run out of explosives before you die. (I highly suggest only using this against the clankers).
Bro ain't no way he's saying all the scout and extra paddaning armor is good gear while all the rest is just mid or terrible. (Except for the Electro armor no one cares.) This man clearly has a bias and probably is the same guy runnin the Anti material rifle while being being hundreds of meters away from his team mates.😂
finally someone realizes just how good servo assisted is
the ability to nuke a base while not being in the same area code is amazing
Everyone's complaining about the balance in Helldivers 2 while there's armor in the game that literally works like a get-out-of-jail-free card (okay, there's a 50% chance here)
Democracy protects is underrated, i dont know why but it isnt 50% but around 90%. I love it
Its 50 but it can work multiple times so it basically gives you 75% more lives on average
@@pawelk411 yea but for me it somehow works around 90% i dont know why
Engineering is goated. With hmg, impact grenades and ammo pack, literally cleaning up half map for your team
Scout is my usual go-to. I love stealthing around as my teammates make the distraction
How I know the arc one was gonna be last
Because no one uses it? I mean anyone with half a brain would have known this
It’s actually really good if your entire squad runs it with arch throwers and Tesla towers
You should try stun grenades sometime.
A stealth passive being number one in a game where u make a lot of noise is crazy
Med light armour is truly the best for me, extra speed , 6 stems and the 2 sec health really comes in handy in hell diver mode
I think that the engineer kit is great. It doesn't just give you more grenades, which seems to be the only metric you cared about. the recoil reduction is actually very noticeable. It's a very good armor passive for machine gunners
as an autocannon user, the new physique armor is also great, it makes you deadlier and swifter with the gun
If you combine Med Kit or Engineering Kit with Hellpod Space Optimization, you can also gain even more grenades or stims, depending on the armor type.
After using the extra throwing range so often I can’t go back, it feels like I’m barely throwing the stratagems without it now
Med-kit is great for when you get swarmed by small amounts of damage, but is useless when you’re constantly getting 1-shotted.
Democracy Protects is S-tier for things like eradicate missions and bot missions where you literally die faster than you can stim.
Democracy protects has clutched so many dives for me
Like the time I survived a 500k dropped on my head when a bile titan killed the guy holding it
Democracy protects is and will always be my main.
Servo assisted in third position is a crime against humanity.
That passive has to be the least useful I've used out of all passives
Engineering kit is a very good passive. The grenade pistol does exist, but it only shoots one type of grenade. Engineering kit gives you two more of whatever grenade you pick, namely stun grenades which are incredibly useful. You also didn't mention the extra recoil reduction at all, which is very handy for running any of the 3 machine guns or the autocannon.
Servo assisted is a goated passive
That extra 28 meters really comes in handy, especially during bot missions where you don’t wanna be detected first
Chuck a laser in first, then lob an eagle air strike, wait a bit and 90% of the time the heavy base is vaporized and you’re comfortably away from the base to avoid detection
The other 10% is due to AI BS making the laser target heavies first before bases
As someone who's teammate uses blitzer and Arc thrower willy nilly, I see the conduit as an absolute win.
Padded is insane for medium armor. Especially against automatons. It gives you a high overall damage reduction with 20% headshot damage reduction (150 armor) without being incredibly slow like heavy armor.
**puts on the funny ears armor** "lets go gambing"
Atmospheric Spores has entered the chat
Having 6 nades(stun) and a jump pack has helped me clear strat jammers
hell, you can even literally just run up to the panel, if you don’t have the jump pack, just by throwing 4-5 stuns
So, yeah, it really depends on your play style
Throw 4 to 5 stuns stops the jammer? Or you just mean for crowd control?
@@iianmitchelldub crowd control, you can just run pass through them and clear the area where you can use the panel
@@pzyck64 gotcha! I was like oh shit I thought the stun grenades had a secret usage
+2 nades at 7th is wild, 6 stun nades and.l flamethrower for chargers is goated
Bro running scout over all those other armors is crazy
Stun/Incendiary grenade + Support weapon with recoil
Engineer armor: that's where you are wrong bruh
One time I was doing an automaton mission and I got shot by 4 seperate automaton cannons and survived each unscathed with the democracy protects
Extra padding light armor is so good against bugs you can dodge almost anything except hunters and stalkers and you always have time to stim against them because of that extra armor
Love how he says democracy protects is to rng based when that's literally the whole thing about it 💀
It really depends on your support weapons.
