The SSRI Safety Net

The SSRI safety net is something I talk about periodically because it is so important. SSRIs don’t remove your depression or anxiety; they just help you not bottom out when the feelings strike. It’s important to have realistic expectations about what an SSRI can and cannot do for you. To me, understanding that my SSRI can’t completely resolve my depression and anxiety, but can at least temper them, is huge. #depression #anxiety #mentalhealth #therapy #ssri #antianxiety #antidepressant
