This is spot on! We are a small school but our main focus is the Varsity program. Without fail, we elevate our best players up and we always struggle with each group (Frosh, JV, Varsity). We are always better and stronger in our proper age group and typically dominate. Like you said Coach, it helps the players to develop better when they can learn how to win within their age group. Scoring 20 points a game and then going to 5-7 points a game can ruin a kid. Thanks for this video!
Respectfully, speed ladder drills helped turn me from a D End to a coverage linebacker. It isn't tip toeing, it's getting your feet quicker in change of direction scenerios. Ladders + hip flip drills are a staple for ALL positions.
@@UA-camburner1 Respectfully, call it an agility ladder. Zero speed benefit. If tip toeing through ladders improved speed, then playing the piano would improve the mph of a fastball. 🙂
@@coachtonyholler I see what you're saying, and it makes sense if you're inheriting athletes from another coach. Not every freshman shows up with pop warner under their belt so in some cases athletes need to be made.
@@UA-camburner1 There’s never a situation at any level, even professional, where athleticism is taken for granted.
Pop Warner? Is that a joke? Pop Warner has NEVER built athleticism.
