It seems clear that there’s a cover-up happening here. We all sense it-citizens like us, who fund these officials' salaries, are left in the dark. It’s astonishing that those in power aren’t thoroughly investigating the matter. An internal investigation is insufficient; we need an independent, trustworthy third party to conduct a comprehensive review, leaving no stone unturned, and then provide us with clear answers. The government is supposed to serve us, not the other way around.

Im not defending her on purpose; the method of these slimy politicians is “gotcha” and it doesn’t work well in being honest about the truth. Why aren’t we more focused on how the sniper ‘jumped back’ after the initial shots. He was startled, another took the shot…after 8 rounds!! Police draw from 0-100 in 1.5 seconds to kill a threat and the multiple snipers took 3 seconds and they DEFINITELY had the guy sighted in already. Kimberly Cheatle was bullied into resigning. She was not able to comment on most of the difficult questions because there was an ongoing investigation into who was at fault inside her own organization. Calls for her immediate resignation were premature in my estimation. I feel like she did the best job she could do without counsel by her side to help her interpret the accusations that were being levied against her. Her detractors were out for her blood as a political appointee of the Biden administration. Even members of her own party were trying to put distance between her the president and the democratic party. She was a political scapegoat that had to be silenced even before the initial investigations of who was primarily at "fault" for the gross incompetence and appalling lack of technical oversight by the Secret Service security event planners. While I agree with her decision and fall upon her sword and let the "buck stop here" and resign her position, I also think she should have been allowed to investigate who beneath her were primarily responsible for the mismanagement of the site security overall, and accordingly make the call for their resignations. Who is going to take her place? Now that she is gone, how can she possibly assist in the investigation of mismanagement within the organization who let her, her fellow colleagues, the ones they were sworn to protect and all the rest of the citizens of this great county down? The rats are going to scatter and obfuscation will likely be the order of the day. With her gone, the "insider" information she had will likely be gone forever.
