So as an older researcher who isn't too tech savvy and is mainly looking for something that is traveller friendly and not too big can I ask a few Q's? BTW I have an Amazon prime account. 1) Can I extend the memory via a micro usb card? 2) Can I transfer my own mp4 films to this device to watch offline? 3) Can I watch / transfer Amazon movies off line while travelling? 4) Would I be able to use it to read books similar to the kindle? To be fair I think Fire tablets get a really bad rap because,at least in part, it's "trendy" to denigrate Amazon. Granted the hate isn't unfounded in most cases but their tablets are some of the best all around budget tablets at their perspective price points. This is especially true considering how often they go on sale.
Just 3gb of RAM on the 8 plus. Would love to see Amazon update this tablet this year. I still use the 2020 HD 8 plus pretty regularly.
