The first 33rpm album I bought when I was about 14 was Nat King Cole ... loved this song.
That may be the coolest thing I've ever seen.
We, the members of the JazzMN Orchestra downtown Minneapolis look sooooo forward to performing with you brother Maestro!! May 11th at the Dakota Jazz Supper Club. Bravo
Perfection --and Nat's trio are up there, smiling.
Now that is music.
Excellent.
Konrad Paszkudzki on piano is what I was surprised to witness. Mastership.
Taste. Time. Let silence breath. The perfect soloist.
Great version of this great song!!
Exactly ....I was just to comment and you put the words for me Konrad .
Love his voice! And his playing!
This is definitely the best cover I’ve heard, I listened to it over and over without skipping a second of it
MARAVILLOSOS...TODA MI ADMIRACIÓN Y MI CARIÑO PARA JOHN Y PARA TODOS!!
I’ve gone back in time. And I’m staying!
Wow 👏👏👏👏👏
What? How this channel has this unbelievable low subscriber number? Nooooooo way! John Piazzarelli is one of my TOP favorite musicians! I always agree with him (what / how he plays) 100%! He’s a real genius. Indeed. Thank you for sharing!
Well, you know, now a days for a lot of people, it's either cut and paste digital sounds, or relentless listening to shop worn rock standards from the 60s and 70s, that interests them. Developed jazz musicianship is something that these folks find little value in.
true to be sad, think is this world now olnly musicians seems to like research and listen to those genius jazzcats... im a brazilian musician and our music culture have been destroyed, new generation didnt know Jobim, hermeto, etc etc...its is the globalization of mediocrity.
Damn! So happy to see you here, Sangah. I'm down the rabbit hole of "Straighten Up and Fly Right" covers.
Dig it!
My God...The BEST...❤️
...just a Genius......
That's jazz 👍👍
Love this performance!
John Pizzarelli is a genius!
Great tribute to Nat King cole and played so smoothly and rhymically!
Ive got a well earned title for John P ..."The Sultan of Smooth Jazz"
You are music to my ears🙂
Respect from South Africa. This is beautiful 🙌🏾
Fenomenal!!!👏👏👏🇧🇷
JP does many tribute albums but in keeping with character, he is never obvious or predictable, his selection of tracks is as clever and interesting as his playing!!!
Wonderfully talented, classic instrumentalist just like his dad.
WHAOOO ! How beautiful and perfect it is !!!!
Toe tappin' ... sounds great. That's inspiring to this guitar player/writer/singer. Thanks John. I love that laid back, but energetic groove.
John......always elegant, always classy !!!
Poland misses You very much.
Greetings, - Marek
Man, I love you guys. Sorry to hear about Bucky, also. A truly gifted man. My deepest condolences.
Love it!
................ what a rhythm, guys, what solos by John Pizzarelli, the Pianist and the double bass player, so tempting, overwhelming and provocative that, almost, they invite you to take one instrument, musical (... the first that happens in your hands) and clandestinely "join" the trio with a "solo", by tromba Strepitosa dizzying (.... alla "Randy Sandke", alla "Derek Watkins ", to Chuck Findley, to" Maynard Ferguson "to be clear), of those that" break everything "and drag you into an irrepressible song, to all" Dixie ", so exciting, that overwhelms everything and everyone (..... "including the public") in such an irrepressible momentum as to leave an indelible mark in the musical firmament of Jazz !!
And then, the music, of that sweet, gentle and refined, as everyone knows, is nothing but art, poetry, of that permeated with imagination, inspiration, improvisation and creativity, that the one that captivates your body and mind in a Sea of "Emotions" !!
But what good, really good.
My compliments.

Wonderful version of this great song, John!!
Amazing!!!!
I hope to see you again in Porto Alegre, Brazil!!
Rio is also expecting their visit!
Mr. Pizzarelli, thank you for a wonderful concert at the Algonquin Hotel in '96 or '97. I didn't get the chance to tell you that night. A lot of little things went wrong that night, but your performance was a big thing that went right. Salute!
Yeah
Music great and love how players are filmed. Keep it up!
Loved this arrangement. Vibe was cool, solo`s superb. Ending was top`s!! Thanks for this.

Had the opportunity to see and John and his trio perform at the Rehoboth Jazz Festival this past October. Fantastic show. Also got to meet him and he was gracious to take a picture with friend and I.
Amazing!
Exquisito 👌🎶🎹🎸
Wonderful 👏🏼👏🏼
Love this stuff. Had this cd like 25 years ago. Was my introduction to John P. Great all around musician. Great phrasing, incredible comping, and vocals are perfect for the style.
Happy birthday 🎉🎈🎂
Love it! Bravo!
👍🏾👍🏾
I like your teal color mode!
wonderfull !!
Great !!!!!!!!
Love this, though its so sad to not see Ray Kennedy sitting there. Listening to him inspired me to start playing piano when I was young. This new trio sounds fantastic though, and I'm looking forward to what you put out next!
I love it
The great swing
Nat would be impressed

Ah! that's nice.
이제서야 알게 되다니!! 훌륭합니다~❤
Dude wearing a suit and tie while recording a Nat King Cole song. Doesn't get better than that.
Hi-Res version of this album is really audiophile, also, the overall performance is being in highest standard.
Parabéns Maestro, nota 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 fica com DEUS

If anyone watching in 2022 or beyond would tell me, what type of strings has he got on his guitar here?
That 's the question ! .I was asking to myself ..These black strings looks very flat . i don't know about 7 strings sets and look for answer near
my friends from Wild Custom .
J; PIZZARELLI .....mentionned he used " roundwound AQUILA strings " .
Judging by the first closeup on the bassist at 0:18, this is not a live performance, which calls into question the authenticity of all of it, but it's still a delightful rendition with the legendary Pizzarelli (:
Connor Lie-Spahn it’s a music video
So many fast camera cuts I thought I was watching The Avengers for a second.
how is it possible my channel has more subscribers LOL. this man is way more talented than I am. I am not trolling bTW, love his music
if i can double subscribe , i'll do .
I miss the vocalizing a tad bit 😎 but your music is God, bro
