Chizuru looks like she's incredibly confusing to play against. That being said, I like how different she is from just about any other character in fighting games. She like an archetype on to herself. Plus the "you shall not pass" idle stance is really weird but really endearing to me.
Excellent. agree with everything here. I don't put Chizuru on anchor tho, not because I disagree, but because my anchor is the unbeatable demon known as Shermie. I put her in 2nd though, coz you're right. She needs meter to work with. And with Isla on point, she always has at least 2 bars to bully people with
KOF 96 has the best AST in all of KOF and my favorite SNK soundtrack. And Fairy is right up there with Arashi no Sax 2 and Esaka? for one of the best songs. As for Chizuru herself, Im so happy to see her back but like Iori it a shame she doesn't have the same sauce as she did in 98.
Chizuru is one of my favourite female characters in fighting games and her playstyle is one of the reasons it's always fun to watch a Chizuru player control neutral effectively. Her lore and design is amazing and I might pick her up after watching Score in ICFC and Pako in ComboBreaker (who finished 2nd)
I hope you continue this series! I know you're still working on Tekken 8 guides (and I AM more interested in those😂), but now that DLC has been released for this game, I'd love to see guides on Rugal, Goenitz, etc!
Yes she is, i was always familiar with KOF but never knew Chizuru existed for a long time just found out about her in KOF XV, the moment i saw her she looked like Jun Kazama who was my favorite in Tekken, the overall reason i bought KOF XV was because i wanted to play Chizuru who looked similar to Jun
@@TheGamersState Until Tekken 8 is revealed who knows they might have something up their sleeve as a last hit before moving on to the next one, so i still have some hope up Jun for Tekken 7
Good video, though I also disagree with her as anchor. In fact, I feel that's the weakest spot for her on the team, and she's best at point. Why? While you do need meter to get her offense going, her offense isn't the type that you can just impose on the opponent. Like you say, you need to do feints and learn how the opponent reacts before you can start pestering them. By the time you learn that you will have built the meter you need when you begin to open them up. Secondly, being on point makes her face the point character, this is huge. Chizuru coming in vs an anchor means she can send one clone out and die for it, or any other small mistake, giving you very little time to even condition the opponent. Anchors IMO should be characters that can spend bar while also imposing their offense on the other character to cause a mistake. Not a tricksy, read heavy, neutral based character... which brings me to my final reason. Her playstyle being very much a slow pace(as far as KOF goes) and controlling the tempo, shown by her special moves and reflecting projectiles, as well as neutralizing characters special moves - all of these things help you extend the rounds. Meaning less recovery for your opponent should she die. Even the rounds I lose with Chizuru on point - never feel like losses! Which is why I like her so much. She can really slow the game down and frustrate the opponent by just not being so in your face, which then makes your second character feel even faster and harder to deal with. Not to mention winning the first round, she becomes a terrific battery by just stalling and running around, making my next character have such an advantage with health and meter. And are you really going to OCV a team with Chizuru when you need to? She easily is one of the most ill-equipped and difficult characters to do that with
I do agree she is good at point, but I do think to bring out her best potential, Anchor is actually really strong IMO. The best thing as point position is she have more time to spam far D and Clone, even guess wrong once or twice isn't going to get her kill for sure. Not like Anchor that they can wait for her to send a clone and she can be kill for it. BIG BUT, with QM combo off Far D in anchor does 52% dmg while their special sealed away, I can't see why that can be bad. she got 100% guard break block strings with just 2 bar, so she can force opponent to burn meter to guard cancel that their dmg potential is going to be lower too. While she can still play the slow pace neutral game if she needed to be, so she just as fine as she is as point with all the benefit being as anchor. I have to say, I often reverse OCV with Anchor, but thats me, not sure about the others.
They made her so damned weak in this edition. Even after the update, almost nobody uses her in competitive matches, and if they do, some cheap shit like Krohnen and Iori just take 80% or her life off with some stupidest combos. 🙄
There hasn't been enough time for people to really capitalize on her after the South Town patch. Make no mistake, she's not to be trifled with in the hands of a good player. Check out Pako using her at Combo Breaker.
Score and Pako use Chizuru at high level play and they have great results. She's actually one of the strongest characters in the game atm and she's nowhere close to being weak. It's just that she requires Big Brain to be used effectively.
As always a massive thank you to Cristina twitter.com/KuriNyankoF for working with us on this series.

The problem with Chizuru is that she's a character expert kind of character in a game with mandatory three characters to learn
that's why you offset it by picking terry and shun'ei, saves you some brain power
Having a grappler helps a lot if you've got strong fundamentals.
@@bigredradish yeah if only I didn't pick Luong and Vanessa as my other mains
WOO thanks for the guide!! i actually didn't know EX choumon no isshin had projectile invulnerability, that might up my chizuru game some!!
Chizuru is one of favorites and her inclusion was just perfect.
Excellent.

Imagine a team of Angel, Whip and Chizuru.
Would be hella confusing for the opponent AND the user.
xD

This information is very nice, but is no one going to mention that GODLIKE transition from Fairy to Fictitious or Real at 2:23?
Thank you ☺️ i requested a lot one video of her.
Thanks a million.

SNK should be paying you for this. It is criminal that fans have to keep picking up after the companies over and over again in the FGC.

Thank you! I defo want watch more of your Chizuru! ^^)b

I cannot wait til the heiden guide I'm trying to main him now
I still haven't seen a max level kagura in sure some one had mastered her the right way, I'd pay to see her in action at the highest level
At high level SCORE plays her
Go watch combobreaker 2022. I forget the name of the player, but someone was playing a very powerful chizuru to impressive results.
What they said ^^^. Pako's Chizuru at Combo Breaker was another whole level
*The pure Japanese noodle*
My favorite kof character
Can we all agree she looks like a long haired Jun Kazama?

Marry me, Chizuru Kagura,🎌😍😳
So what now tekken ain't paying the bills no more.
