Nowadays the woke movement, quite different that’s why every leading woman movie has been failing. They forget women have flaws too. That they are ‘oppressed’ and victims but somehow still perfect so everyone should love them.
I don’t get exposed to ads really at all so I had no idea they rebeooted it until you guys said something about it. I just watched the trailer and it seems really unnecessary given how iconic this movie is. I agree with Vince that I don’t think it’ll have the sauce that this movie did especially given how much we pull punches this day and age.
it’s more of a reboot of the broadway musical than the original movie
The new movie is an adaptation of the Broadway musical that was inspired by the first movie. It is not like they're rebooting the og movie.
27:25 I can just imagine her driving all the way home screaming like that and all the other people are like 🤨 wtf?!🤨😒
😂
yes to both "clueless" and "legally blonde"!
13:44 - "It was not that serious"
You tell your close friend that you like someone. Then your close friend intentionally gets with that person first in order to spite you. How would you feel?
High school musical is a must!!!
I’ve seen mean girls since I was younger so classic movie
Mean Girls is one of my favorite movies 😆
Fun fact the adults in this movie are part of the SNL family ❤
y'all are cute!! glad y'all reacted to this its one of my favs
I read somewhere that Regina thought Janice was a lesbian b/c when they were younger Janice told Regina she was LEBANESE
hahahh I'd heard it was legit good for years and finally got around to seeing this cause we'd picked up this card/roleplaying game but one of the scenarios was more or less as a bunch of stuck up high school girls. So I watched it for inspiration/research, absolutely loved it, completely wrecked everyone with my snarky comments about what they were wearing in the game
Kind of weird fun fact: For Black friday 2023, Walmart made some Mean girl styled shorts with the og cast and same universe in the future where Cady is the new principal, it's actually pretty cool
im a guy and this movie is funy af, one of my favorite movies of all time!!!!
1:49 idky but this paramount intro unlocks a lot of childhood memories
I wish I had a boyfriend to watch movies with that didn't judge me about them being girly. You got a keeper on your hands. 🎉
Any time my best friend is having a bad day, I will sit next to him and say "You wanna do something fun? You wanna go to Taco Bell?"
Growing up with an older sister, I was forced to watch girly movies. Means Girls, White Chicks, Bridesmaids, Pitch Perfect 😅
Wait is white chicks a girly movie!? I always assumed it was more of bro movie tbh 😂
@@lateforitalwaysyou deffo a feminem guy
@@lateforitalways it's both 😂
He should totally watch White Chicks, it's golden comedy😂
I wish Lacey had more roles after this. IMO she was great
Since y’all have seen “singing in the rain” you should watch “a clockwork orange” so you can ruin it 😂
8:15 she's wearing Damian's shirt since he has a lot of pink clothing
This ALL would have never happened had Regina not mistaken Janis Ian being Lebanese with the word lesbian.
“BUT SHE DID THOUGH” I’m deceased. ♥♥♥
Thanks, Shoshana! Thanks, Vince! 🎀 Mark Waters directed this one. The 2024 remake should be fun to compare.
Good catch, girls were not wearing baggy shirts back then! Super fitted for sure, so Cady wasn’t really in style with Damian’s shirt.
Need a double feature with Vince for Clueless. 🎉 heck, The Notebook.
You should watch the Devil Wears Prada
I use to watch this all the time with my sister, as a guy i love this movie
More fun Rom-Coms How to Lose a Guy in 10 days, 13 going on 30, Legally Blonde, Miss Congeniality, Juno, Bring it On, John Tucker Must Die, Saved- One of my favorite and super underrated
The new mean girls movie is based on the musical. It's the mean girls musical as a movie.
If you move around the goth side you get to see Janice's hairtsyle and other variations. I don't wear it but I kinda like it.
