Rachel McAdams is also in the MCU. She plays Christine in both Doctor Strange movies
Pitch perfect 1, 2, 3, Legally Blond 1, 2, She is the man, Sydney White - this is a short list of chick flicks to watch in addition to Mean girls :D
This movie is the perfect example of why you should be homeschooled
I'm glad you have a bull of your own. Every white woman should.😢
Any guy that has actually watched Mean Girls knows it's a legit funny movie - just takes one watch
I legit watched Mean Girls for the first time last weekend and was floored by how genuinely funny it is
Yea there’s absolutely zero gendered fandom to this movie. It’s well loved by everyone
Yeah but my girl isn’t funny. We joke about who’s funny all the time. 23 years together now.
Facts. One of my favorite comedies honestly as a 33 year old man lmao
I Confirm that
Rachel Macadams acted both the notebook and mean girls same year! Her talent is truly immense
I love her in Sherlock Holmes as Irene Adler, Sherlock's on and off girlfriend. (opposite Robert Downey Jr. as the titular detective).
06:18 He recognized her blonde wig that she chose to wear to cover up her brunette hair for the notebook too 😂
Love her!
she’s such a queen 😌
Rachel McAddams is great in the Eurovision movie on Netflix
Honestly Mean Girls is an early 2000's masterpiece. Seems like an exclusively girly girl movie but appeals to almost everybody.

I know right? guys see "Girls" in the title and the movie poster all pink and assume its only a movie for girls/women. but then they watch it and realize its really a great comedy.
@@HelloXrancidkittehI mean that is a pretty fair assumption but mean girls really is for everyone
The whole plot is about girl but the comedy can be enjoyed by everyone
So the low key joke I like is that obviously Janis during middle school told Regina she was Lebanese but Regina thought that meant she was a lesbian 😂😂
Hahahaha my part Lebanese husband would love this 😂😂😂
Janis is SO OBVIOUSLY Lebanese, I’m surprised she didn’t come over to Cady’s house with “juhduhduh” aka mujadara 🤣
I never understood this comment when Regina cleary explained why she thought Janis was gay cause she thought she was obsessed with her
@@ceddygee6673literally it’s so annoying when ppl think this, the lebanese joke is just an extra cherry on top but to say that was fully what regina thought takes away the entire depth of their relationship and the conflict between them
The 2002 movie Bend It Like Beckham made the joke first
I always thought that, while Karen may be a complete airhead, she is probably a great friend. She’s always happy, goes with the flow, and was the least drama-prone of all the Plastics. Sure, she got pulled into drama but even when asked if she’d want to know if someone said something bad about her, her first response was “No.”
I might have thought the same when I was younger when the movie first came out, but now that I'm older (39) I learned that she actually isn't a good friend either. She is an integral piece to the creation of a toxic group; the apathetic leaf in the wind who lets the bullies run her life. Karen doesn't form her own opinion, doesn't use her voice, doesn't stand up for her friends, and doesn't have an apparent compass of what is right or wrong (hooking up with her cousin??) and you don't want a friend like that. It would have been nice if there was more fleshed out development of both Karen and Gretchen.
@@MiciousDawnyou’re wrong. She’s not a bad person because she has bad friends. In the real world she’d be the only one you’d want to be your friend. Pure positivity
@@johnisuncomfortable4279they arent wrong. karen doesn’t care to defend people regina bullies. she laughed at the things written in the burn book and continues to be friends with assholes.
@@haeataanaru8462Exactly, while being a bystander doesn’t make you as MUCH of a witch as the ones doing the majority of bullying themselves, it makes you part of the problem and largely at fault in many ways. The movie’s message was to show how everyone in some sense can be a “mean girl.” Karen’s vibes were very much remind me of the quote “All that is required for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.” Silence and absent-mindedness alone can do enough damage.
@@johnisuncomfortable4279 she’s not pure positivity, she makes fun of everyone in the burn book and the people Regenia bullies. Just because she isn’t the worst one out of the group, doesn’t mean she isn’t an asshole. She doesn’t defend anybody, including Regina and Gretchen who have been her “friends” for years. She may be the most “redeemable” out of the three, but that doesn’t mean you should want her as a friend 😭
This, Legally Blonde, Clueless and The Devil Wears Prada are 4 "girl" movies that most guys like. Mean Girls is a classic, even with men.
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas
legally blonde I have seen, heard about clueless but dont know the last one
Devil weares Prada has Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep@@princkleminckle1159
@princkleminckle1159 The Devil Wears Prada stars Merryl Streep and Anne Hathaway. It's about a new hire at a fashion magazine and her nightmare boss. It's a really good movie and really made me think about the reality of being a career focused woman and how difficult that must be and how it can change you, but you have to decide how much it changes you.
@@princkleminckle1159clueless is a great watch too, I saw it for the first time recently and I had no idea Paul Rudd was in it lol
"Sweatpants are all that fits me right now."
We spend the whole movie hating Regina, but that one line delivery is so good I just feel bad for her in that moment. Yeah, she goes back to being mean right after, but she was vulnerable.
If you liked this I'd recommend 10 Things I Hate About You. It's a 90s classic!
I don't know how Kevin Gnapoor feels in terms of representation but Hollywood has never made another character like him. A teen with high self esteem who deserves it, is what I mean.
It's gnapoor
@@user-bf3be6xz9o Thanks, corrected.
I dont think he deserved the high self esteem. Besides his race and size he was a typical high school sleeze ball.
he has spoken many times about how this was kinda the first role that an Indian doesn't have a stereotypical accent and bob his head. He speaks positively of his experience being in the movie and how he still gets recognized and asked to do the rap haha.
fun fact: Rachel McAdams hair was a wig in this movie so the line "i heard her hair is insured for $10,000" is actually true!! lol
funny how dudes who haven't seen this movie view it as some sort of "chick flick" or whatever. But they're honestly missing one of the best written/performed comedies of our generation! This movie is cinematic gold!
I love how PROUD Shoshana looks during the "On Wednesdays we wear Pink!" line 😂😂 Also - it's WAY too soon for them to be remaking this movie
Technically it’s an adaptation of the braodway musical so it technically not a remake
I just noticed that Regina's Mom's wearing pink too!
She's seriously committed to living vicariously through her teenage daughter! it's pretty delulu and gross, but hilarious AF for the movie 😂
how is it way too soon? it's like 20 years old..
20 years
Its not a remaking
I've never met a guy who's actually seen this movie who doesn't like it. it's hilarious. Sure, we probably all saw it cause of a girl at the time, but you know ya'll love this movie. 33 years old and one of my favorite comedies honestly.
Tina Fey adapted this from a NON-FICTION book about female high school cliques into an S-tier YA comedy HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN
I’m just looking at poor Vince at the beginning…he’s like “I regret every action in my life that led me to this moment” 😂😂
(MEME SAD MUSIC) You just have to say your fine but not really fine, because they will never understand.
@@beautifulbliss5883 PLSSSS WHYD I READ IT AS SHE SAID IT 😂😂😂😂
But then he thought it was ok. Sometimes you gotta open up that barrier. This movie is popular for a reason.
Yes. made him watch all the so called “girly” movies, i’ll love to see a guy’s honest reaction to these, i enjoyed this video more than expected.
Legally Blonde is top tier cinema.
She’s the Man would be a great movie to watch too!
One last comment…Just wanted to point out that the Math teacher Miss Norberry aka Tina Fey was also on SNL and she wrote, directed, and produced this movie. Which is incredibly impressive considering how this movie is still iconic and holds up this many years later.
Oh yeah there's a part 2, not very good.
A remake I haven't seen yet, AND it was a Broadway musical too!
And she reprises the role in the movie musical too!
She didn't direct the movie, and I'm pretty sure she didn't produce it either, but she did write the screenplay for it. She's great!
@@soml0t yeah it was produced by Loren Michaels
I just realized Regina’s mom was also wearing pink bc it was Wednesday! “Humpday drinks” - I love this movie lol
ohhh nice catch
I'm a 40-year-old straight dude who saw this in a theater, bought the DVD when it came out, and still has "On Wednesdays We Wear Pink" on his calendar every week.
So I’m sure someone has pointed this out…but Cady wear that oversized pink Polo because she didn’t have anything pink to wear so she borrowed it from Damien.
ALSO HILARIOUS JOKE MOST PEOPLE DONT CATCH IS AT THE END OF THE MOVIE….Janice is with the Mathlete rapper guy Kevin and he asks “Are you Puerto Rican?” And she goes “No I’m LEBANESE”. WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS!!! Thee entire reason Regina George spread that rumor about Regina is because she didn’t know what a Lebanese person was so she assumed she meant Lesbian.
Just think that is such a funny joke that is so quick and takes a minute to get. But in context with the whole movie is hilarious.
That's not why. Regina made is really clear she thought Janis was lesbian because Janis was "obsessed with her" the Lebanese joke was just a little extra
I vote “yes” for Legally Blonde and Clueless.
yessssssssssssssss
Racheal McAdams was filming The Notebook and Mean Girls at about the same time. Dedication to the craft!
Wow! It must have required quite a split mind.
I (a 24 year old straight male) watched it for the first time yesterday, after always assuming it wouldn't be my cup of tea at all, and I absolutely LOVED it! It's so funny and all the characters were so likable. I've rewatched so many scenes in the 24 hours since, that I've basically seen the whole movie again. Can't wait for the new film, even if there's no way it'll be as good.
You’ll definitely find yourself rewatching it every few months! One of those easy to watch comfort movies
Every straight guy I know likes this movie. Mean Girls is a classic that everyone likes.
So do you think Gay people won’t like this movie? 😌
@@calvinwolff4350 of course. There's a reason I said this movie is for everyone.
Fun Fact: Regina was so ashamed of how she was in high school that she renamed herself to Christine. She would later become a nurse.
Wait really?? where did you find this fact
@@CherrieJellyBeanie I think this is a reference to Rachel Mcadams in Doctor Strange 😂😂😂
LMAO
Vince’s face in this whole reaction is so wholesome and cute. You’re lucky he is dope as hell. Not many guys would sit down and watch this with their girl let alone film a reaction for it and enjoy it.
I have never understood that. A good movie is a good movie irrespective of the subject matter. But some guys automatically assume that they won't like a movie because they think it's for the girls.
@@MinSugaCheonjae lol some of the most entertaining films of all time have been "for the girls." Mean Girls, A League of Their Own, The Devil Wears Prada, Miss Congeniality, Stick It, Clueless, Bring It On, She's the Man, 13 Going on 30, Juno. hell, when you think about it since they're often the main characters a lot of slasher/horror films like Scream, Carrie, and Halloween could in their own way be considered "scary chick flicks." 😂
I think most guys like this movie
funniest joke in the whole movie is that janice is Lebanese and regina didn’t understand so she told everyone she was lesbian LMFAO
The disappointment in Vince’s face at the beginning is hilarious
This movie came out 20 years ago i can't believe it.
This movies a lot better than people give it credit for
Im a 25 year old dude and never ashamed to admit its absolutely hysterical and one of my fav films 😂
So how old were you when Mean Gurls came out?
Classic film!! 😊 The new Mean Girls isn't a remake, but an adaptation of the stage play/musical that's based on this film. Love your reactions!! ❤
The cast said that its a mix between the original 2004 movie and the musical rather then a plain adaption of the musical
If you thought Lindsay looked so young here, wait til you watch the Parent Trap
Tim Meadows (as the principal) was a strong, strong contender for unsung hero on SNL for a long time. He is and always has been hilarious even now when he has slightly fewer roles, he still kills it as the the Mailman on Bob's Burgers.
Miss Congeniality, Uptown Girls, Legally Blonde, 13 Going on 30 (I think y’all may have already done that one)..to start 👌🏼😂❤️🙏🏼
OMG YES
More early 2000s films lol
Bro as a guy I used to secretly rock the mean girls theme song as a teenager 😅
The actress of Gretchen Weiners is the original actress who played Meg on family guy
i love the way vince just looks confused the whole movie & shoshana just has the biggest smile on her face 😆i miss the way older movies like this were so offensive all the time & just didn't care hahaha also love the theory that regina thought janice was a lesbian because she told her she was "lebanese" lmao
Mean Girls is The Hateful Eight of chick flicks. Not really, but it is that rare film that simultaneously seems of its time yet universally timeless in its themes and grounded character archetypes. This movie transcends genre and gender line demographics. Everybody loves this masterpiece. And, this is an action movie. The action, car chases and explosions are just in the dialogue, clever premise and witty execution of its whole entire inspired concept.
It's definitely so Fetch.
6:16 Really good at spotting that wig!! I've watched this movie just after it came out and didn't know Rachel McAdams was wearing a wig for this movie for YEARS 😅
this is the kind of content that I like hahahah the dynamics between you two is already funny! you go Shoshana!! can't wait for Vince's revenge
The new one is a musical. It's been on Broadway and now they made a movie version. All of it was written by Tina Fey.
You guys are so friggin adorable! She has such a joyful smile! ❤
The late 90s-early 2000s were like fashion limbo. "The girls have gone wild" is a reference to a series of video cassettes called "Girls Gone Wild" that ran from the late 90s to - - just looked it up - - 2010.
So glad you did this one! I'm sad they did a remake because Mean Girls is iconic. I've seen it so many times haha! I went to an all girls school, and every single girl there adored this film. It's been such a long time since it came out and we still quote it. Fantastically funny film. Rachel McAdams is a brilliant actress :)
It’s not a remake it’s the musical version based of the broadway musical, I’ve seen the musical live it’s really good
So it an adaptation of a Musical Stage remake.
I actually enjoyed the musical movie. Give it a chance and remember it’s not a remake just another version of it
Mean Girls, Legally Blonde, and 10 Things I Hate About You are my favorite “chick” flicks. I love the reaction 😁
Rachel McAdams wore a blonde wig in this because she was filming the notebook at the same time
Aw I’m so glad this popped up in my recommendations. Loved your reaction, so fun. Definitely react to those gems you mentioned. Also some older 90s 2000s tv shows like Buffy.
y'all are cute!! glad y'all reacted to this its one of my favs
I am freaking out, yall posted this on Wednesday and I just so happen to be wearing a pink hoodie as well.
I'm glad UA-cam recommended you guys, new subscriber
adorable, adorable people
Guys I just got back from the musical and it was so fun. Very similar to the movie (maybe too much in moments imo) but the visuals, musical moments, and added/changed jokes were so good!
I scrolled through a couple comments and didn’t see that anyone told you this… but just to let you know the new mean girls movie is a musical. It’s based on the musical that’s based on the movie.
Yess to all the other fun teen movies/chick flicks, please. Legally Blonde is a must. 10 things i hate about you, clueless, the proposal, how to lose a guy in 10days etc
I felt the “don’t you bring me down” when he threw that shoe 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The actors for Aaron Samuels, Kevin G, Jason, and Damian are all gay. It made filming so much fun. 😂
The look on Shoshana's face as you were watching was priceless ... so excited to introduce him to this fun film. And... Vince, giving her this "victory" was huge. Well done!
it’s always so good when people watch the movie for the first time
hahahh I'd heard it was legit good for years and finally got around to seeing this cause we'd picked up this card/roleplaying game but one of the scenarios was more or less as a bunch of stuck up high school girls. So I watched it for inspiration/research, absolutely loved it, completely wrecked everyone with my snarky comments about what they were wearing in the game
Dudes!! That was a great movie to watch with yall.please, please PLEASE make him watch hsm.that will be a surprise for him how good they actually are
The actress who played Gretchen Weiner(Lacey Chabert) voiced Eliza Thornberry in the Nickelodeon cartoon The Wild Thornberries and was the voice of Meg in the first season of Family Guy
I can literally quote this whole movie 😭❤️
Omg just yesterday I was hoping you guys would do Mean Girls!
Watching it for the first time through you guys!
1:49 idky but this paramount intro unlocks a lot of childhood memories
Kevin G's performance is a masterpiece and deserves more recognition!!!
Hey Mix, just a heads up the new Mean Girls is a musical. Also love the channel!!
8:15 she's wearing Damian's shirt since he has a lot of pink clothing
Saw the new movie with my daughter last night. FYI it’s a musical. It’s adapted from the play version of the original movie.
Tina Fey ( Mrs Norbury ) wrote the script for this movie an took a lot of her inspiration from her high school which was also my high school ( Upper Darby High School ) & when this movie came out, She came to do a dateline/2020 interview for the movie an I remember the Prince a bowl over the loudspeaker in the morning saying you all better be on your best behavior and act like responsible young adults… cut your the interview starting in our cafeteria and a group running throw an fucking up the shot, the interviewer got scared an tensed up& Tina was just like naw this is how UDHS do 😂 Tina Rocks !!
Y'all!
That thumbnail got me😂
I haven't even seen y'all before but that was hilarious AF 😂
This ALL would have never happened had Regina not mistaken Janis Ian being Lebanese with the word lesbian.
43:11 I came across this video and was like, "omg I hope they've done the high school musical movies" haha you guys 100% should totally do them!!!
The thumbnail is golden.
im a guy and this movie is funy af, one of my favorite movies of all time!!!!
Another movie you might recognize Rachel McAdams from would be Doctor Strange 1 and Multiverse of Madness. She played Christine;)
You should watch mamma mia it’s sooooo good one of my favs.
Amanda Stifred is in it she plays Karen in mean girls she’s amazing in mamma mia
loved the video, you did your boyfriend a favor making him watch the absolute masterpiece that is mean girls
Growing up with an older sister, I was forced to watch girly movies. Means Girls, White Chicks, Bridesmaids, Pitch Perfect 😅
Wait is white chicks a girly movie!? I always assumed it was more of bro movie tbh 😂
@@madisonr840you deffo a feminem guy
yes to both "clueless" and "legally blonde"!
Don’t forget Regina George is also in Doctor Strange 🤣❤️
High school musical is a must!!!
My brother loves this one and White Chicks. They don't do movies like this anymore.
i need you guys to watch legally blonde. that movie is so iconic.
IT JUST TAKES ONE WATCH 😭😭
Definitely one of the most iconic films ever made
& defo one of my favourite comedies oat (dc what anyone)
Kind of weird fun fact: For Black friday 2023, Walmart made some Mean girl styled shorts with the og cast and same universe in the future where Cady is the new principal, it's actually pretty cool
You guys are adorable.
If you move around the goth side you get to see Janice's hairtsyle and other variations. I don't wear it but I kinda like it.
The new mean girls will be a musical,, which is an adaptation of the Broadway musical, which is an adaption of the 2004 movie. It was running on Broadway for a few years before Covid shut it down. I personally liked it. It stands on its own with an updated concept/updated jokes (since some jokes didn’t age well). It’s up to you if you guys want to watch the new movie,, if you like musicals 💖
5:09 Christine from Doctor Strange
I’m forcing myself to see vinces reaction 😂😂😂 looks funny by his face in the thumbnail 😂😂 Ly guys ❤❤
Good catch, girls were not wearing baggy shirts back then! Super fitted for sure, so Cady wasn’t really in style with Damian’s shirt.
One of the best comedies ever.
Rachel McAdams (Regina) was wearinbg a blonde wig in this movie. She had to shoot The Notebook either right before ornright after this and she didnt want to risk damaging her real hair with bleach.
I use to watch this all the time with my sister, as a guy i love this movie
Thanks, Shoshana! Thanks, Vince! 🎀 Mark Waters directed this one. The 2024 remake should be fun to compare.
You have such a good pair together! I love you guys and idk if this sounds weird, but I love inner racial relationships. It make me feel really good :) you're both so cute together
I wish I had a boyfriend to watch movies with that didn't judge me about them being girly. You got a keeper on your hands. 🎉
Oml I recognize that actor from the The middle 24:53
33:40 lol like that was a loss for the school was a absence of Regina..
Hey, I have 3 versions of the painting you guys have in the background. For anyone curious, each line of colour is the dominant colour in each frame of a specific movie. What movie is yours?
