Mcfarlane intended the 6 months thing so target would get full cases of one figure and everyone could get one that wants one instead of single figures per case. In theory it limits supply when it’s different figures in a single case
He said that it will help the people out financially so they don't have to buy all figures at once . Which makes bo sense to me because he's releasing alot at the same time.
If he released 1 figure every several months, nothing will be on the shelves and we'd have no variety of figures. But if he wanted to help people out financially he's stop this alt head/hands/weapon as separate releases. Batman Beyond for example would come with both heads, all the batarangs, and hands(which both do so that's good). Flashpoint Batman would have both heads and the sword. Shriek: Would have both heads I'd have no problem if there was a BAF version and a non BAF where the ONLY difference was the BAF.

Sure, at the same time they gotta make their bread too. Btw having the same EXACT figure with a collect to build part and one without defeats the entire purpose because the majority would buy without the piece.
I’m on the same boat as you, I started off with my first figure from that line was the movie Batman figure and then my final figure was the Catwoman figure also from the Batman movie. I left that line in limbo, I’ll come back to that line when Mcfarlane toys decides to add interchangeable heads, hands and additional accessories in the future. But in the mean time, I’m only going to stick with Marvel legends and Star Wars the black series because those are my go 2 toys growing up as a kid.
The head is has no mouth so its different from the other Non-baf version of Batman Beyond. They have different batarangs too. Speaking from retail point, the 6 month BAF thing is awesome. Less scalping issues, less scarcity issues, less angry customers. This is a good thing.
I wish Todd had whoever sculpted the figure use the fins, THAT ARE ALREADY PART OF THE DESIGN, to connect to the wings, INSTEAD OF, an added ugly port.
Love the video, but I'm going to past on this one because my Target never have any figures on stock, but I will preorder the regular one from Big Bad Toys store instead!
The ball joints for the ankles on the kickstarter spawn actually blend in very well you hardly notice them, and the wrists don't have them which is nice
With Mcfarlane we get charged an extra $5 if it has a BAF so it's not a free figure like ML. He could at least throw in the extra head or effects instead of making us buy another figure. I don't have shelf space to put multiples of the exact same figures. I really like most of Mcfarlanes DC figures but sometimes you just go why the hell did he do that.

I honestly don't mind Todd releasing 2 figures one regular and 1 unmasked head. When it came to Marvel Legends and they released a figure that came with an unmasked head. I always bought 2 of them anyways lol. One to display with the mask and one to display without. I've got a ziploc bag full of loose heads lol. The way Todd's doing it I can now buy the 2 versions without having that extra head and if I just want the one version I don't have to worry about that extra head it comes with.
They should’ve made the alternate Batman beyond a battle damaged one like was shown in the show. Or at least give one the gritting teeth with an unmasked head.
The scale issue is very bad I wish he paid more attention to the fans robin and night wing shouldn’t be taller or the same height as Superman and Batman 😒
I think Mr.Todd just want to do some marketing experiment here with his 6 monts build program, or he simply don't care much about this wave :) (considering: upcoming ZSJL, The Suicide Squad Wave, and others)
Mcfarlane I think it's anti consumer what Mcfarlane is doing with the alt head/accessories situations. I agree, it's the same figure sans a head. Hasbro puts those alt head/hands in the same box. Making two packs where one figure holds another hostage(Red Hood/Red Nightwing). Do something like Bizarro. Make full on alt colors at least. I think that's fair. It also might not bother use as much if these figures weren't released so close together. Articulation It just needs to improve. So many figures have no forward torso crunch. The heads can't look up. The legs can't do splits or go all the way forward. Some people say, "Not all the figures need to be ninjas". What does it hurt if these figures have more range? Some people say, "You don't understand, we won't have the better sculpting if they modified the articulation". That's not true. They have plenty of room to modify the existing standardized articulation without sacrifice. Some people say, "it's a $20 toy, what do you expect?" I expect them to be designers and make create some standardized parts and or tolerances. They may have unique sculpts for a lot of figures but they are using the same joints for other parts. You can swap the waist and ball pegs of many figures because they are using the same parts. Some figures like Flash have great range because the diaper has enough clearance to make use of it. Then Mcfarlane goes and uses a sculpt where that area to too low so you can't. I don't want a statue. I don't want Mcfarlane telling me that I must post my figure in one way. We know Mcfarlane can do better. Capes/Wings Mcfarlane makes some great capes but he needs to make them easily removable and do so without making it look ugly(or providing pegs to cover ports.

Saves you from driving to 15 targets looking for one specific figure to complete the BAF which is only 1 per case. Instead of a case that only contains 1 full baf, its gonna be one piece at EVERY target. Less scalping, less driving, easier to find. Save everyone aggravation.

I prefer big-body BAF like Bane. This one is too small to be a BAF in my eye.
