Belgariad is one of my favorite comfort reads. Such a fun cast of lovable characters and some really charming humor and lighthearted romance throughout the story.
This, this right here?
This is the stuff I scour the internet for.
"My fate is not mine, my life is not mine. Long ago I sold my soul to the land itself and now even the swallows tell me what to do, but I am pawn of no king, noble, nor lord. I am the pawn of everything you walk on. The land itself has been ignored. Sometime in the distant future the land dreams that there will be no happiness or life, just a vast husk ran barren by corrupted blood from the world's heart, the dark desire of man to exploit, and needless war. I not here to stop you from making this happen, but I am here to tell you the land is better at changing than you are, and I am here to tell you there will be dragons and much more. The land will change quicker and so will the beasts, becoming stronger and smarter than before in ways we both can and can't comprehend, but our ilk will remain unchanged. Storms will ravage the land and only the beasts will take it better than our lazy villages, cities, and coins. Fantastical beasts both humble and mighty will be here and you will find yourself forced to adapt to a land you forgot about. It is either that, or we all starve in the land's dying dream if you dare win. This is the land's ultimatum."
- The Pawn of the Prophecy, before being executed for sorcery
Huh is this a real quote from the book?
It is eerily similar to an idea I had for a homebrew pathfinder world, but the people there dared win and doomed a continent. I think I need to read Belgariad now!
The Belgariad was my first fantasy book series that I read. A wonderful journey
Absolutely right
You are what many people need, thank you for creating this wonder and making our imagination fly ♥️

Thankyou so much!
Abandoned Halls of Ancient Royalty 🤩

Just discovering the world of dungeon synth and lo and behold, someone made a concept album based on my favorite book series of all time. This is just amazing

Belgariad inspired POGG
I hope you continue into the Elenium. That was my favorite.
Sparhawk is a cool character for sure...but weren't the two just three vs five books for Bel and Mal?
@@Joshua_Froschauer Yes but still good.
@@Joshua_Froschauer The series are more or less comparable in length. Belgariad and Malloreon are five books while Elenium and Tamuli are three each, but the latter are substantially longer per book. There are possibly fewer twists and turns because of the structure, but the narrative is more developed, stronger in terms of description and characterisation. However, I don't think it's really possible to compare the two series. Bel/Mal are shallower, but more light-hearted and feel fresher - as the author's first-born, so to speak - while El/Tal are deeper, more serious, but also a little bit more stale, in the sense that there isn't that feeling that hey, this is an approach we haven't seen before. You could say that by the time of the Elenium, Eddings was much more accomplished as an author, but starting to nibble on his own tail, and by the time of the Tamuli, he's finishing up devouring his own tail and getting dangerously close to his own backside ;).
Whoa, someone else knows this book series!
Will there be "Magician's Gambit", "Castle of Wizardry" and "Enchanter's End Game" to complete the set?
Of course :)
@@WellandJoyceArtist Thank you. I shall await them eagerly.
You know, this has now gotten me thinking. Do you know of any online communities dedicated to the beautiful worlds that Eddings created?
There is a wiki and a Reddit I believe but apart from that I'm not sure.
These albums are really cool but I can't tell if they are AI or not. Does anyone know?
I made them they are not ai. ai can't produce music like this it can only mimic voices as far as I know. The album cover for this one is ai art because I couldnt afford an artist.
