Comment below if you own DVC and where your home resort is!
Congratulations!! My family has had DVC for 15 years now and it was such a good decision for us. I’m so glad to see you guys decided to join as well. I really do think it was a perfect decision for your way you do Disney. So, welcome!
Best decision ever! Bought 200 at boardwalk in 2017 and a few smaller contracts since then (total 295). Feel I’ve already gotten my money’s worth! Don’t forget about using the points at Aulani!!
I’m so happy for you. I own at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Aulani, and Riviera. I’ve been a member since 2011. I bought in when I was only 23 and have loved every minute of being a member. Welcome to the Club!
My family has been a part of the DVC family for 15+ years, and even though we don’t go to the Disney parks as much as we used to, we still use up all our points every year with Disney’s partnership with Interval & formally RCI to travel across the country and world! Welcome Home Mouselets!!
Congratulations!!! Becoming a DVC member has been the best decision I ever made, so excited to follow along your new membership 😊I own at copper creek!
Welcome Home! You will LOVE this decision. Members since 1992. Parents Started at Old Key West. Added on over the years at Saratoga Springs. Then we added on with them at Grand Floridian, and Riviera Resort. My parents live in a 2BR at OKW for 6 weeks in the winter…with so many more points to spare for all of us! One of the best family decisions ever. The investment into deluxe accommodations for the current & future generations is invaluable.
We have had ours for 5 years and our home is the Poly. It is the absolutely best thing we have done for our family! Love it!
Congratulations and welcome home!! We own at The Grand Floridian and Hilton Head. I think it’s the best decision we’ve ever made
YAY!!! We’re relatively new to DVC, having just purchased direct from Disney in 2018 (OKW). Later we decided we wanted more points so bought a resale contract at Vero. Finally this Nov., we’ll all have our own beds with nobody sleeping on the couch! 🥳🤣
Our story is almost the same! We had no plans to buy DVC when we stayed there, and now we have 3 contracts at 3 resorts! We didn't even know what it was, and certainly didn't think that it would be for us, and now love it so much that we'll almost certainly buy more. BTW, the Bonus perks made little difference to us, so all of our contracts are resale, at about 40% less than buying direct.
How exciting! We bought DVC at the Riviera in 2021 and added on more points last month. It’s worked so amazing for our family, we love staying deluxe and need more space than one room so it made so much sense for us! We will never look back! Welcome home✨🫶🏼
How awesome! Congratulations to you both and your family! Living the Disney dream!
So exciting!!! Can’t wait to “tag along” on all of your adventures. 😃 you’ve really given me some food for thought about DVC!
Congratulations guys!! So happy for you!! Can’t wait to follow along and see all the fun stuff!!🥰
Happy for you both and your family. That's exciting!!!
My husband and I are trying to get a dvc in the next 2 years! It’s soooooo expensive 😢. But we crunched the numbers and we learned a lot of the program and it’s worth it. I didn’t know you could still get grand Floridian dvc’s !!!
so exciting! We have been members since 2015 and it has been a great choice for us. My home resorts are VGF, Boardwalk and Polynesian. If you want a big room - like grand villa - then keep enough points in the same home resort to reserve it at the 11 month window. We go as a family of 10 so we stay at grand villas once a year. second trips are sometimes at Vero or Hilton Head villas
Facts. Always buy any timeshare first with retail. Add ons can be either.❤❤❤
What a fun adventure!!! Congrats girls - amazing 🎉🎉
Thank you thank you!! We are so excited!
Congratulations guys!
So excited for ya'll! That is awesome and such a dream
Congratulations! Members since 2010. We have Bay Lake, Copper Creek, and Hilton Head.
We were DVC owners. My parents and I bought in back in 2002 when I was a cast member and we got a huge discount. The benefits are amazing. My dad used the bank, use, borrow points to take my mom on a Disney cruise for their 50th (2008). My dad sold our points when my mom passed in 2015. I so wished I had convinced him to keep it because it was paid off and we only would have had the annual dues. My goal is to find a way to buy in again to will to my children.
I forgot to say: our home resort was Vero Beach. Great for a relaxing Disney “experience” away from the magic.
Welcome Home! We have been members since the 90s and we love it.
Congratulations and Welcome home!🎉
Thank you so much!! ❤❤
Your explanation is great! Thank you!
Oh how wonderful!!!! You both deserve it! ❤ my niece is getting married near Disney. I have wanted to go my whole life (my mom too!) it’s just like being in a dream! I never dreamed it would be so expensive, we are lucky and can fly down and back for the ceremony! But I wish so much I could see the inside of the magic kingdom sooooo much! Please bank it in your memories and love it dearly! You are both so cute and seem so happy!!! Please enjoy every single second and keep uploading videos so people like my mom and I can watch and feel like we are there!❤❤❤❤ definitely subscribed! I love what you are saying, but 150 for a flight is ATON of money for us.
I also did a spreadsheet and couldn’t make it work for us. The yearly fee plus the contract costs per year vs. renting points just didn’t make sense for our large family. But congratulations to you guys! I’ve stayed at those OKW 2 bedrooms and they are NICE. Enjoy
Congratulations!!!
Great job breaking it down for everyone. Enjoy!!
Welcome home :) Grand Floridian is our home resort too!
Boulder Ridge.
Congrats, but I think there might be some confusion about your first contract needing to be direct… there is no such rule or law, etc that makes buying direct FIRST any different then buying direct later. You just need to own 150 direct points to get the perks, regardless of home resort or if you buy the first, 2nd, third or 12th. :)
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Congrats on being owners. We just closed on a boardwalk contract. Look forward to buying some direct points in the coming years.
We just became DVC members too at Old Key West!
Wow congratulations, I’d love to buy a DVC but coming from UK and flights are so expensive I’d not sure we’d get there every year x
Congrats! I want DVC but my husband will NOT have it, I think I’d have to break out a spread sheet of my normal annual savings (excel is his love language). Maybe one day. My problem is I love club level, I wouldn’t be able to give that up, but I come about 6 times a year for the last 5 years so it totally makes sense. OKW 2 bedrooms are great though, so much space, and a full set (not stacked) washer & dryer. We rented points there 2 summers ago and it was so great at the end of a busy trip. We had been in a 1 bedroom at riviera (also rented), and stackable was nice, but it was so much space it was amazing.
Just purchase DVC points instead of buying.
@@GrandmaJanetFromAnotherPlanet I do, frequently, it’s my compromise.
So you paid 40k to sleep in a studio and annually dues are $1,900 a year .
We bought Riviera back in January. Welcome home!
I would love the spreadsheet if you have it! I need to convince my wife 😂
The ASMR in this is perfection. Congrats on the DVC membership. I would LOVE to have that spreadsheet that M1 concocted. Please and thank you!!!!
Added it to the video description, here it is! docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WJ6AghnZZ2eENXkcDk3q1Hb45_FL2hYL9Nykl6fNSZw/edit#gid=0
Welcome home to Disneys grand Floridian resort and spa :)
We don’t own yet so I’d love to see your spreadsheet, if you don’t mind. Thanks so much.
BLT since 2009! No regrets. So smart paying in cash like we did💰
Please please please send out that excel sheet!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
What was the top deciding factor in deciding between GFV and Riviera?
We just stayed at Animal Kingdom lodge and spoke with a DVC women there . There selling for Riviera cause it’s the longest out in contracts . At $217 a point and $8.50 cent a point for fees a year it adds up fast . The times a year we like to go are high in points . We’re taking direct like 300 points at a cost of 65k is a cookie . I hate to buy the minimum points of 150 and stay at a studio room .
3 contracts at VGF
ZERO REGRETS!
Welcome home neighbors!
🧚🏻🏰
Welcome Home
Comments sound like a DVC support group 🤣
If you get a Disney credit card, you can use the points to pay your annual fees.
How are you guys splitting them once you both have your own families?
Haven’t watched yet but I swear if y’all be moving to those ten million dollar Disney homes I’m gonna die
Update: All good GGs
Omg golden oak??? Hahaha I wish
@@TheMouselets it’s so expensive lol
So did you guys end up paying cash out of pocket or did you secure a private loan?
We paid cash (so paid in full!)
WhTs a dvc?
It’s the Disney Vacation Club!!
WHY???? Just rent DVC points.
Renting costs more, so if you know you’re going to go, buying is much cheaper.
@@Chili327Not only that but having to find someone willing to rent the points for you for every single trip and finding someone to coordinate with you, back and forth regarding putting names and worrying about the reservation actually being there.
Great video! Very informative. It’s so cute that you’re both wearing the Monorail slings while Monorail is riding by in the background. 🫶
I love your channel picture/emblem. Can you tell us how that came about?
