We used to make burners from tuna cans in the scouts. Cut a long strip of corrugated cardboard the same width as the can height. Spiral coil it in the can and fill with wax. Totally waterproof fuel source you can use for emergencies or wet camping, throw a couple in your trunk or pack.

Hi there Bat, ty for watching. You know you brought back a memory for me. I was a girl scout. That's when my love of animals nature wildlife camping, all of that began back then. And I too made something similar. I think it was called a Bunsen burner. Very simple to do similar to what you described. I like what you had made, and the fact that you can bring them with you if you need them, like in emergencies. I love the way you can make something in a certain way and you find out that other people have made the same thing but went about it a bit differently. I love when things reinvent themselves. Always room for improvement. I was thinking about making a rocket stove next. I'll have to see how the weather is up here in the next week. Sometimes high up here in the mountains winter comes very quick and cold wind , enough to make your bones shake, lol. Anyway its nice to meet you and thank you again for watching, I appreciate it. Have yourself a happy day 👋🌲🏕️🪵🫶

Hi there adventure, I appreciate you watching and I appreciate the compliment as well. I'm certainly no expert on anything just a lover of everything natural simple and kind of woodsy. That's why I moved up to the mountains and back some in the woods. I wasn't sure how it would turn out. Hadn't made anything like it since I think girl scouts, lol. So your compliment really means a lot to me. Thanks again, and I wish you a very happy day 🌲🏕️🪵🫶☺️

I remember making something like that when I was in the Cub scouts as a little kid

@@richardcurry366 Ty for watching, i appreciate it. Ya know what? I remembered when i was a girl scout, we made bunson burners out of a coffee can. And, that's where i got the idea to do this from. Until i get a tripod, i thought this was the easiest for me to do. No cutting. Thanks again and i hope you have a wonderful day 🌲🏕️☺️

I like the top the way you made a gap. I pushed through the can at the bottom and made legs to stand on as well as opening up the air flow. I also make 2 holes in the side so I can put in sticks that cross inside the can while it is burning for a higher efficiency.

Hi Michael it's nice to meet you and thank you for watching I really appreciate it, and the compliment too. I've made a few hobo stoves and I've made them a few different ways. This was the easiest to show because until Santa Claus brings me a tripod, lol, I have to do everything with one hand. But I like that you had made legs for yours. I had thought i might poke some extra holes in the middle of the can, for a bit more air flow, but with one hand; i took the easy road. Anyway, ty again. I subbed to your channel as well. Nice to meet you and have a very wonderful day 🌲🫶☺️

@backyardnbeyond thanks for the sub. Most of my stuff was from when cannabis was legal for medical only so is dated.I need to make more but I am busy writing a book set about 50 years in the future.

Wow that sounds really cool. I love writing too I had started a couple of what I thought could have been books. But my life took a lot of ups and downs and stuff and I always just put them, my notebooks away. I can only imagine with the world will be in the future. I hope you complete it and I'd love to read it someday too. Thanks again for watching my stuff and I'm sure I'll enjoy all of yours too. Have a beautiful day 🌲 🙌💨☺️

Best viewed at 2.0 speed. Maybe cut in a fuel door in the side?

Hi John and thank you for watching. I'm still a rookie so I didn't know what you meant about the speed. But I was going to put a fuel door, the only thing is I don't have a tripod yet and I was trying to do everything more easily with one hand. Hopefully Santa will bring me a tripod, lol. Thank you again for watching I really appreciate it. I hope you have a wonderful day also 🌲☺️
