I would have liked to see more of the power triggering kit. Where it plugs into the 7 pin DIN cable and how then a RJ45 powerlink speaker uses it. One of the aspects that put me off the move to B&O in the 80s and then 90s was no one explained exactly what was powerlink and how to connect to any more traditional analogue components.
Beolab 8 can also be connected to the router over Ethernet cables instead of wireless when interference or range makes using wi-fi less reliable.

Hello Steve . Can you play beolab 8 direct to a LG G3 TV ? Or do you need a Beosound Theatre ?
Yes, if the TV has a headphone socket then a direct connection is possible (the rigger cable mentioned in this video), otherwise a device like Beosound Core is needed to connect via the TV optical output to the speakers

Hi Jasper, sorry but this is not possible. Beosound Stage cannot be used with any other speakers, it is a stand-alone sound bar only. There is no way around this. If you want to add other speakers, you need to remove the Stage first.

Sorry, but you didn’t mention a comparison with beosound balance, which ones sound better? I want to buy it but I don’t know which is better, thank you
Balance has two bass units, goes a little deeper and is slightly louder but they are not the same kind of speaker. Both have Mozart platform and the same streaming options and both have that latency of 336ms on all inputs so not suitable for watching movies or UA-cam. The Beolab 8 has in addition powerlink and WiSA which is a different system with lower latency (-15 to 35ms for WiSA) and no noticeable lag when watching a movie or video. I find on the Beolab 28 that over WiSA the speaker is far better than over wi-fi or wired using Mozart. It is richer, deeper more stage presents and immediately noticeable.

No, sorry. Stage will not work with any other speakers at all, it is a stand-alone speaker only, there is no way around this.
