Badass! I am going to try this to mine. I tried to copy the design of your last one but can't get the thing to fire right.

I am sorry the other did not work for you, the forge from the last video is my work horse forge.
I wanted to make a smaller lighter forge to carry around, this one is pretty small and light.

That's an interesting setup. My gas intake goes into the pipe, and the pipe has a couple of holes in the side for Venturi effect. Never occurred to me to mount it outside the pipe and tune it by changing the distance.

I have made burners that way in the past and still have burners like you describe with the vents. For the past few burners I have done like this, it is a lot easier than cutting the slots.

Yeah, I can see that. Easier to tune too, I bet. You simply vary the distance, right?

Yes vary the distance, of the tip. I also played with the length of pipe when building it.
The distance is not real picky though. I have two propane bottles and nozzle set ups. One is a bit longer and the mig tip is nearly in the pipe, the other one is the one shown in the video that is about 1.25" away from the end of the pipe. They both work well.
