Hi, OneLastSmile here. I wanted to thank you again for making such an amazing video, I really appreciate that the story I wrote so many years ago has persisted in people's memories for this long. The time period I wrote this LLB in was a very different era. This was my first big horror project, I invested a lot of time into making it and enjoyed it a lot. Thanks for reading! I loved every second of it. I may return to the LLB scene eventually!
Some random author insights:
Back when I wrote this I had some serious oversights in regards to Truth/Truth Redux. Especially with Redux there are certain parts I forgot weren't told about in The Secret (mostly because of the fairly large gap of time between the original run of Truth and the run of Truth Redux.) There were some plot points I regret including in Redux entirely, as well.
This is more or less a bit of lost lore at this point, but at the time of writing I was buddies with another LLB author who was writing a multiverse themed LLB. I was so excited by this concept that I decided to 'connect' mine into it for no real reason. The body that Manny inhabits for the last few chapters of Redux is also from another LLB, I believe it was one with Greg as a school shooter? The multiverse thing is the big plot point I've come to regret including, imo it killed the horror vibe and sort of sent everything off into left field in a negative way. If I ever rewrite Truth again, this is the part I regret and want to fix most.
I consider "it was all a dream/experiment/multiverse" to be a vibekiller when it comes to horror stories, but at the time of writing this I was young and unseasoned in writing horror so I made the common mistakes any young author will make.
I'm really glad that even in 2024, years after my original publishing of The Secret and The Truth/Truth Redux, people are still enjoying a horror story I wrote. I think this is a story that still holds up as being scary, but it's definitely not without flaws and plotholes just like anything else.
@@Una_Ridlow agreed m8 I did find it came out of left field in redux where it was retconed to be about the multiverse but still your horror llb was good, and I felt really bad for manny in it my boy was just a toddler they turned him into a monster 😭😭😭

Greg was Manny’s favourite……Manny took Greg’s body consistently took over Greg’s corpse……and temporarily was Greg…..and Susan killed Manny…..MAN WHAT THE F---
well okay, manny stops talking one day and this was franks boiling point since he thought manny would be his one kid to grow up how he wanted so he took it out on him and got his other sons in on it as well Rodrick was complacent but Greg felt empathetic but still continued out of fear, Susan sees this every day and one day eventually snaps and didn’t want to see it anymore so she puts manny down thinking this to be better then the life he got but manny combined with the abuse he got plus the one person he thought he could trust betray his souls became a vengeful spirit strong enough to create a fake Pocket dimension where he killed the heffelys each day also everything being covered in front juice is because he hated it and they torture him with it, on Friday his body as well as the pocket dimension start falling apart so to save himself he took a nearby body from a different Greg but that gave him admesia, despite the rule of a day unable to pass unless someone dies manny somehow circumvents this at the cost of the day’s memory’s and his body rotting, eventually though from all of this manny gets the attention of other dimensional people and they start resarching him and his behaviour and by Saturday when they see him falling apart they think it’s the perfect time to capture him, by the last loop on Saturday manny finally escapes I think by accidently using his powers and finds a dimension that was exactly like his except it was Sunday, the trama from seeing this again made him possess this dimension manny and kill Susan though he semi regrets this also he frames frank as revenge for all the abuse but loses all his memories due to the side effect of possessing someone, by the end Manny returns to normal and manny

Sociopaths only fear consequences, and Greg is sure facing a lot of them.
There are one of two explanations for this. Either A: A nightmare that is impossible to wake up from or B: An infinite time loop with no memory of the previous day whatsoever.
Probably B
Two secret options: C: he is clipping between dimensions. or D: He is going insane and hallucinating explaining the blank paper that Greg saw text on.
(edit): Just time skipped to the end and it's just some Sonic.EXE stuff. bruh, when i saw the part where Greg actually felt bad for manny i thought it was all like supposed to represent something like a metaphor but nope it was just Sonic.EXE but it's Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

When manny was looking through the doors it could be him looking through many different alternate universes because some of them are referring to other fan fictions. Like “ballistic missile” is doawk the ballistic missile. “Gregory as an adult” is 25 years later and “a burning grave could maybe be 25 years later too. “A lot of yoghurt” could be the dark web fan fiction but I don’t know. “The apocalypse could be any other apocalypse LLB but I could think it can be the fregpocolypse and when manny opened the door of the night where he was killed is this one.
So I think these “doors” could be portals to certain LLBs and when manny got out the door it is him leaving his own LLB.
This is pretty much it, yeah. At the time a friend of mine was writing a multiverse themed LLB and I decided to do that too for no reason lol.
Yoghurt is in reference to an extremely popular llb about Albert Sandy and yogurt. Apocalypse was in reference to a specific era llb that I no longer recall the name of

This is the one time you can feel kinda bad for manny, first, he was bullied to hell and back, then, Susan killed Manny to try to end his suffering, and then he got transported to a world made of froot juice, where his body was rapidly decomposeing, and he had to repeatedly kill people and get their bodys.

I have a theory, has anyone played the game "Limbo" by playdead, basically the world is black and white, and our character's whole body is black like ink, and His white eyes are the only silhouette, there's a lot of dangers and greg takes a similar appearance to the character, and when he sees his body with his family, that got me thinking, he's obviously dead, but what if he's in Limbo with others who were in the same situation as him, what if his family is? All that are in in Limbo probably have a lot to overcome, and accomplish, and to fix their mistakes, they won't be able to find peace until they do so...

Some constructive criticism - Sometimes in your reading, you express too much excitement, and because of that, parts which are actually intense doesn't pop up because all of your reading sounds hyper

You take place as Gregory Heffley from the hit novel series “Diary Of A Wimpy Kid.” You are living in your house as normal, except you can’t find your older brother Rodrick, or your father Frank. You never feel hungry, your mom barely speaks, and your little brother Manny does not show any sign of communication. And the day never passes. Something is wrong. You look into the kitchen and see your mother’s mutilated body hung by wires leaking oil. No, fruit juice. Fucking fruit juice. The next “day” she is completely fine. You look into the basement, you see the exact same situation with your older brother and your dad. Your little brother now seems angry, and starts scribbling on pieces of paper, you feel worried. You try to get him to speak, but he never does. Cut to a few hours later, you are panicked as Manny corners you and takes your life. He cannot let “The Secret” get out. You now take place as Manny, and are trapped in an infinite loop/nightmare, the setting being your own house, which is falling to the bits as you speak. with no way to escape, you have no memories, and each time you discover the corpses, you recall you memories. But every few “days” (even though none seem to pass) you get reset again, in a cold house that reeks of fruit juice, stuck in a decaying body resembling Greg, with nobody but the mutilated corpses of your family, with your memories reset again. Over and over and over. You are completely alone. You feel some extraterrestrial force has taken over. You keep writing down in your journal, being able to read, write, and speak, as you now have the physical attributes of Greg. You finally find a way out and figure out that you were tormented, hurt, and abused by your own family. And the one you think is innocent? That person suffocated you in a pillow in your sleep to kill you to “set you free” from the torment. They were successful. You take your original body from the night you were killed, kill your mother from that alternate universe, and run out the alternate universe. Suddenly, you are yourself again. Living in a world without your abusive dad, who has been taken to the cops. Living with your grandmother, you feel… happy. For the first time in what seems like forever. But you will never shake the things you just experienced out of your head. Those memories will never go away.
