On August 3rd of 2019, we (people in north & nepal) are celebrating teej which is called as Hariyali Teej, Teejo, Teeyan and Hartalika teej in different states. From last one week, I have been sharing pictures of My henna and other preps of teej, and a lot of people ask me what is teej ? Sp I felt like making a video on the same. In fact a couple of people asked me to make a video on this subject.
Well, it's a fun-filled festival in North. Also it involves a lot of sweet delicacies like Ghevar and firni. We are advised to wear green clothes and apply henna on our hands. Some people also keep fast on this day however there is no such culture in my family that lives in Haryana.
This Teej festival celebrates Monsoon, The union of Lord Shiva and Parvati, Girlhood and Marital bliss. Girls that are married receive a lot of goodies from their maayeka. It is called Sandhaara in Haryana. I am not sure what is called in Rajasthan, UP, Bihar and Punjab.
Anyways, I made this video with great efforts a lot of love. Let me know what you think of this video…

In Nepal we say only Teej . You have said that in India you all wear green colours clothes and bracelet . There will be gudda and gudiya marrived but in Nepal we all wear red colours clothes and bracelet . There will not be gudda and gudiya married. Lastly I wish you Happy Teej
