This was my very first slipknot song. This song is MONUMENTAL to my music taste lmao. Loooooove that you showed chels this one. 🖤slipknot was my first metal song, my first CONCERT (all hope is gone tour 2009) theyre in my heart forever lol.

I wish they didnt go with the mix they did for the video.....they vocals are fine....but it's so much better with the uncleans upfront, the uncleans are there, but there's stuff missing 😁

I think this one has to be my overall favourite song by them, it basically created the perfect formula for Nu Metal music!
This song paved the way to my music taste forever more, in the late 90s this was the most extreme metal I had ever heard but it still holds up even today, a true classic

I remember I was about. Idk. 15 or 16. My dad got laid off from work. My mom told him to not stress. Take the summer off. We would get drunk in the basement in his music room and blast music and show each other music. This was the first track from slipknot he heard. He had speakers to the ceiling. We blasted this. He rocked the fuck out lmao at the end she just WOOOOOO loud as fuck and goes son I finally get it. Lmao epic moment for me
I want to add this too. From what I got from clear the stone of leaves if taken out of context can mean a lot of things. But the full section on its own. "I felt the hate rise up in me knee down and clear the stone of leaves" I took that as taking out the anger that you bury

"Prosthetics" talk about the man who are obsessed for a woman, in a platonic love. He keep she in your house, more specifically in the basement, just to "love her". The song was inspired by the movie and book "The Collector", 1965. It's a masterpiece movie, check this, I think is kind of Drama/Terror. 🤓

We didn't listen to Slipknot together because it wasn't really my style of music. The channel has opened up my eyes quite a bit so we decided to check out some of their tracks before we see them together live in October.
