That ending pissed me off so much. 5 seasons of buildup to a 5 minute "everybody died" end. Total cop out, they clearly had no idea how to end it.

Dude, I 110% agree that MAYANS M.C. Finale SUCKED!! The show suffered horrendously when Kurt Sutter left. Mayans was a good idea to thread but for a particular reason it suffered. PLEASE KURT if you stay with making the first 9 series broooooo stay there cause dammmmmm don’t let that brand suffer again.
I think the entire last season sucked. It was more about the chicks than the MC. The only good thing about it was how EZ went out. That actually made sense. He had to die after all the lies.
How else could that series have ended? EZ had to die. Alvarez lived and Angel lived. With them living, there's still that possibility of returning.

That TV series finale SUCKED ASS!!! Ohhh cool Marcus left the Mayans like another mule WTF???? Nah man Kurt Sutter definitely needs to be attached to that series. A blessing in disguise for sure. Sometimes the fires that destroy everything allow us to rise from the ashes with more clarity, humility and gratitude.
Kurt definitely seems like he has reflected and learned. Getting to have absolute power during the final seasons of SOA and the utter mess that was Bastard Ex did him no favors.
If a relationship is meant to last it will, but you both have got to put your heart and soul into it, Katey and Kurt were prepared to do that🙂
Mr Sutter: Being publicly transparent with painful feelings and thoughts (especially when admitting damages/mistakes you made) takes courage and grace, and I applaud your candor.

i never watched either show but that makes sense when the Original Show Runner leaves a show like a show that is 100% different than either of Sutter's shows the show Castle the show wasn't as good after Andrew Marlowe and his wife left the show. it was i think still good but not as good
This explains why the series changed so much. I started watching it when season 5 was finishing its run. I binged it on Hulu and never knew Sutter was fired. The whole Isaac Packer villain arc was...not great. Killed the series for me.
Final season was so bad.
The series completely went to shit after Kurt left and it’s noticeable. Sometime shows can change show runners without negative effects, Mayans was not one of them.

I thought he wrote in a Jew joke in Disney didn’t like. Either way he shouldn’t have been let go. Same with Darabount and walking dead. He was frustrated with production because of how the higher ups were at fx due to disneys integration. You think he made it 7 seasons of soa and the shield working for fx and suddenly was let go for his behavior? Nah the new management just didn’t like that he wasn’t gonna push their shit

I was hooked on mayans. But the last season spiraled out of control. The finale made me regret watching the show all together.

@@BooneLuleyo 7 was slightly better than 6. Otherwise, it was two-plus hour episodes every week, half of them montages and filler. No more dark humor to counter the increasingly bleak storyline and circumstances, and the continued wasting of Ron Perlman’s time. Thank God for Jimmy Smits, he was carrying the show on his back half the time.

Mayans was such a disappointment. Great cast but thats about all I can compliment about it. It felt like everything dragged and none of the setups, arcs, sideplots delivered. Cocos arc ending up being a letdown. The war with soa being hyped up forever and lasting a couple of scenes. Didnt EZ have some magic memory superpower at one point? I mean I can write a short essay about everything that was a letdown but in short, the show was bad.
I celebrate his growth - but let us not allow a significant point to be obscured or overlooked: The Pandemic (still-raging, by the way) forced the world to STOP; and while these uncomfortable cessations happened, they allowed for HUMANS to FEEL and to think about what makes them operate properly; or what makes them satisfied/dissatisfied... which is why #ACertainSector HAD to work-at erasing the reality that CoViD is STILL a PLAGUE, and that we need to radically alter the way we operate as a PLANET. Therefore - "No remote work"; "Get back to the office. We don't want you to think or feel; we want you to buy petroleum, and to subjugate yourselves for a fever dream of endless futility which is completely out of your control>"

SOA was a fun show that became ridiculous by the last season. Mayans was totally unwatchable.

Mayans in my opinion got better once Kurt left. The show quit trying to be an SOA clone and became its own thing
I love soa and Kurt sutter but I actually agree. Even tho Mayans wasn’t perfect. I hate they severed so much ties with soa because of his departure (like not seeing Chibs again) Though I still sutter could develop another show in the universe

Well to be fair the show started to suck before kurt sutter left because after season 3 the show started getting boring and unwatchable.
Sutter hit rock bottom once he announced Mayans M.C. instead of a new ORIGINAL show.. He is/was creatively bankrupt, just like Hollywood as a whole
