- In today's video I will be lightly covering a mechanic I see a TON of new Yomi players struggle with, IASA. Short for interruptible as soon as, it explains why sometimes the prediction system isn't showing you the full story. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, leave them below!

Nice short video about it! as someone who enjoys sniffing projectile parries like crazy, it certainly helps to have a proper explanation, specially to show what my ramblings are even about, something probably worth mentioning (by some quick labbing to confirm my thoughts), would be how the manipulation only happens to backwards movement, if you go forwards, you're gonna have the same IASA, the opponent would just interrupt it on your frame, if anything, personally my favourite way to approach projectiles is by jumping forwards, mostly because it lets you fine tune to any other stuff the opponent can do, mainly Wizard and gust being the main troublesome part of trying to parry, of course not flawless at all, and specially with the previous example, it's not exactly safe to jump into the projectile, more so with gust just blocking any options for it, but it can look really cool if done properly i can tell that much, and of course, once you got the first parry and there's more attacks comming, just keep blocking, magic will happen by itself [:
Yep! Backwards movement includes jumping backwards, importantly. And you're right, jumping in is one of the best ways to get parries. Thanks for the comment!

That aside though, of course! And this sure helps to have some proper reference to point at when showing a few friends who are starting out the ropes of it, this is one of the points i tend to explain when talking about projectile parries but seems i can't get myself to throw the right words, this might just cover up for that matter, keep up the good work honestly! :D

I feel there are still some instances where the prediction is inaccurate, I remember in a wizard ditto where the prediction showed me jumping over a spark bomb without any issue but after the turn played the spark bomb did infact hit without any input from the opponent

ok but what about when you're comboing someone, the prediction says your next move will hit, and then it just doesn't? And I don't mean it gets DI'd out of, I mean just a single hit.
It depends on the situation. DI affects single moves, and even things that aren't moves. For example, when you bounce off of a wall your DI changes how far and how fast you bounce. You should also make sure you have enough hitstun to land your move (you need to be green in the prediction system without using a FC), and that your opponent doesn't have any toggles they can activate (this is very rare) if it's the first hit. If you still have the replay you can send it to me and I'll be able to tell if it's an actual game bug.
@@whimsnum well in this case, I was playing mutant, my opponent was in hitstun, and had no burst. I clicked vault and it said it would hit, there was sufficient frame advantage that they wouldn't be able to act first, but when I locked in it just entirely whiffed. How do I send you a replay of that?
