Same here!! I have 70-300mm on pre-order.
It will be great if some lab tests are repeated for the Xf 150-600mm.
Nice, looking forward to your findings mate. I've ditched my 55-200 and I'm on the long waiting train to 70-300ville, in the meantime I'll stick to my Laowa 65 and snap away at much smaller things instead 👍
Really looking forward to this series 😎
Me too ☺️
Will be watching. Hopefully you give your review of the new 70-300mm as I interested in buying one.
I have had the 70-300 for week now and am very pleased with the results. What has surprised me today is how sharp it is with the 2x converter.
@@233985 thanks Ian, great to know that the lens is sharp even with the 2x converter. I was thinking of getting either the 1.4x or 2x converter at some stage.
What do you plan on shooting with the 70-300mm?
Lots of info about that lenses and the teleconvertors isn't far off, and I'd suggest waiting to see it all if you can
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography thanks mate. I will be waiting to see the results of your testing and your personal opinion of the 70-300mm and also it’s performance with the teleconverters before making the final decision on buying the lens.
Glad this series is starting, looking forward to your next video
Very excited about this one, looking forward to all the graphs and those details!
Hahaha they go up a notch next week
Can’t wait for your full series! If I can add a suggestion, and if you’re not planing it already, it would make an awesome bonus episode to look at some unorthodox options. For example I’m using a Sigma 150-600 Sport with Fringer Pro and am very pleased with the results for perched birds and slow moving or predictable subjects. I’m also using the Fringer with the cheap EF-S 10-18 IS and can’t notice much IQ difference from my former XF 10-24 mark I. Regarding Macro hope you can take a look at the awesome 3rd party offerings like the Laowa 65 2:1 macro, it’s simply amazing!
I own the laowa, but when it comes to testing things like sigma with adapters etc I just don't have the access to them unfortunately.
But I will do a macro series eventually
Looking forward to it Thomas. I've got a couple of these, so will be good to see how to get the best from them!
Next week's episode should be a big one for you then
I've been waiting for this for ages. I got a few things out of your wide angle test despite already making my wide angle purchases, but I will be intrigued by your conclusions. Keep well
There is a lot of information I am going to share which will help anyone with gear already. I'm pretty proud of what's to come this time
Looking forward to this one 🙂
Looking forward to the series on Fuji Zoom lenses.
Looking forward to it 🙌🙌
I have most of the testing done, very excited to share it all with everyone
Great start! Thanks for doing this. Very beneficial and instructive! Just one suggestion or request, is it possible to shoot the same bird with the 27mm lens (40.5mm in ff) so we can understand the approx. natural eye's view and how much is the total zoom capability of each lenses. Just one additional picture with 27mm would do the job. Thank you very much again for this great work!
Oh that would have been good idea, if I reshoot the whole bunch (which I might) I'll add that, but it's all packed up now to reshoot that one shot comparitively again unfortunately.
What an awesome sweatshirt!
Hahaha cheers buddy
I'm so excited! I live for the nitty gritty! Curious if you will have a section on telephoto for landscape use(?) i.e. how would the 50-230mm at f8-11 perform vs xf lenses
You could get that info out if next week's episode, though I don't say it's so clear as it's focused on wildlife of course
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography Sweet! The amount of thought and time you put in these videos is so inspiring! Keep up the great work!
Quite an easy choice without watching - 70-300 anyday for price, size, weight, usebility.
But it will be fun to watch your videos anyway ;) I dont know many people who got all of them to try haha
It took a LONG time to be able to borrow all of them from Fuji
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography Crazy, I thought you own them all or are the millionare lol
Hahaha I'd be ok with with of those two options.
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography haha me too, I only own 18-55 and 35 1.4 so poor😄
I lite kit is a good kit though
fantastic series thank you so much. If i have the 50-140 and I am looking at getting a teleconverter what lens would you suggest as the next option?
Thank you, if higher end zoom is what you’re after next the 150-600 is truely stunning, and the people I look up to the most rave about it
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography would you say that was the better option over the 100-400?
@stevemacrosinc2337 from the best wildlife photographers I know, they say yes, and that it’s not a close comparison
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography would that be the better option paired with my XT4? I've read some things saying the camera might not be up to it lol
@stevemacrosinc2337 what kind of content do you want to shoot?
easy. Xf200mm. I can't stop using this one
What do you shoot with it?
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography just every thing. My favorite animal is homo sapiens
They bite a little to often to be top of my list 😜
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography I understand. But the variety !!!
And I guess the environmently destructive nature can be amusing from a distance
