I put a babyliss taper blade on this vgr 001 which i just bought. Instantly, this vgr became my favorite fading and detail clipper from no guard to a zero gaurd. There's something about the shape thats makes visualization of the cut easier to grasp if that makes sense. Maybe it's because its not blocky towards the top. Also its like its scooping ice cream instead of cutting. Its so smooth. I like it so much. i just bought the new kemei version of this vgr 001clipper. Which just got released. The kemei version has like an all metal build.
I haven’t gotten my hands on the kemei 1670 or the onyx to give you an honest answer.. I will probably never get the onyx because I’ve been making it a point to stay away from over priced machines after my bad experience with gamma/style craft and Tpob

Look into the Kemie 5027 trimmer $20. You can put any of the Stylecraft/Gamma Xpro blades with their The One Cutter. $50-$60 for this trimmer setup can compete with some of the top branded trimmers.

what work with is 2 v003 one with a taper blade and one with a fade blade and the v906 trimmer that doest hurt and the kemei 2293 trimmer for edging!! and this combo is lethal and I didn't even spent 200 bucks

I have the vgr and do love it, I thought the blade was trash personally I put the XO blade on it and it puts in work! A better comparison would have been to the JRL. Oh and it does open wider as if it has a built in stretch bracket. Just got the tpob play in yesterday and it’s super quiet gonna do a cut with today.
I feel you on the comparison would be better with jrl but since it has very similar specs to the xo I figured I’d put them head to head. And as far as the blade mine cuts amazing maybe I got lucky and just got a good one or maybe you were unlucky and just got a bad one.. 🤷🏼♂️
Bro I just ordered mine on 10-06-24 and got it on 10-08-24 from Amazon around $60 something without prime and paid for shipping. Since charging it won’t go fully 100 percent and less then 30 or 40 minutes run time. It will drop to 60 or 50 percent of battery life 🪫. My question is how long have you been using it before recharging it? It says 3 hours charge time & runs for 250 minutes but I’m just not seeing that with my pair. Please help bro
The lcd only goes to 99 so you will never see 100 .. the battery isn’t the largest but I have 2 so I rotate .. but it will run down to 1% so you can get a few haircuts done if you dont throw it on the charger but it charges pretty quick so I throw it in the charger sometimes while I’m doing other sections of the cuts when I don’t need it
Maybe the paint on the 003 started to peel because you cleaned that area with a strong alcohol or some substance that dissolved it bro, I got that same one a year ago and it didn’t happen to mine, it’s kinda curious 🤔 but anyway that is not really important, it is a great clipper for its price
Yea it was the cool care.. I spray them and don’t wipe them off on my last cut of the day so it must have been from letting them sit over night with the cool care . No biggie to me I’m Not worried about the esthetics like you said it’s an excellent machine for the price. Idk why everyone so mad at me for loving it over others. 🤣🤷🏼♂️

VGR 640 … only blade I’ve tried is the TPOB XO fits great no modifications on both machines you have mentioned .. I have looked into the DK but I honestly won’t buy anything that isn’t usbc charging at this point.

And the DK one actually has usb c, but from what I understand the battery is 1500 mah while Moreda version is 2000 or something, although both are advertised with the same run/charge times, but for whatever reason Moreda is sometimes even more expensive than stylecraft

Ooh nice I will check it out again last I look it did not have usbc … and when it comes to batteries they are never quite exactly the mah they claim and when it comes to to trimmers they tend to do well because your not usually running them as much as a clipper .. I don’t tend to let battery size dictate if it’s going to do well or not .. most machines are paired with batteries that have plenty of run time in my opinion and since most display battery percentage now it’s easy to make sure it never dies.

Try the WMark NG X1 its like the same size as a trimmer and still cuts thru bulk I put a JRL fade blade on and cuts smooth and doesnt catch on skin Under 100
I use Gamma magnetic guard’s but 0.5 I use old full metal Wahl it cuts soo close, and you? I put JRL fade and cutting blade on it speed is top, but PLAY is still better 💯

vgr 003/640 Best kept secret. If you want the vgr's to be super quiet Cop that babyliss blue mim blade save the m.i.m cam follower for the vgr 003. Put the blue blade on the xo and use the m.i.m cam follower on the vgr and put the original xo blades on the vgr 003. End result the vgr 003 will sound just like a jrl

Thanks for saying what you said with have the hype clipper out. I think they are a hype out with a lot of the clippers. I can make a hair cut look just as nice with a $30 clipper and trimmer as a $200 set just I can 0 gap and switch a trimmer blade it’s a wrap.
I currently have a TPOB XO blade on one of mine and it still mowing down hair like it’s new and has out lasted my 3 XO machines.. I don’t think there will ever be a perfect clipper

I fuck with the XO’s. I got 2 of em now. I got the white X on the way and his new PLAY clipper with 2 speed. They smack the babyliss fx. And a lot of other clippers. But the VGRs, do you feel the torque stronger than the XOs, in 7500 and the 9000? That cyborg is top tier, cop another one and throw the small precision blade on it you won’t regret it .
I like the XO’s Forsure and I also have 2 .. but to me the Vgr’s are a slightly better performing machine… I seen the plays dropped but I’m Not into price hikes for colored swappable plastic cover plates , I just want a machine to make my job feel easier. TPOB Forsure better than babyliss IMO .. the VGRs at 7500 feel and sound identical to the XO’s and at 9000 it has significantly more torque and power and makes a huge difference in certain applications and hair textures.. I’ve been thinking about grabbing another cyborg but honestly haven’t needed it. I’m quite the minimalist when it comes to machines I prefer just a couple I don’t like having a bunch to maintain

@ no difference just the shell texture and color.. they labeled the combo v640 but it’s the 003 .. the trimmers is ok but cannot be zero gapped

The vgr has alot of lag play on the lever before it clicks.

The kemei km-1855 and lence pro FF1T both have brushless motors but cost less than big brands. The kemei 1855 seems to be great for making lines.

Vgr 003 is great but when I got my TPOB Play i didn’t used it since than. Play is game changer for me.

Different motor with 2 speeds, different body, it’s not just the swappable colors 😂
I don’t own XO but VGR 003. PLAY makes my work so easy, fades are cleaner feels like JRL on roids.

Yes but I’m in love with the Kemei 2293 I actually think it’s slightly better especially when it’s only $20-$30

To me it’s just right .. not to heavy but also not cheap and lightweight feeling
