20 years old and insanely blazed. I all of the sudden remember playing this around 2-4 years old. Pulled it out of my memory banks like a piece of tape was ripped off of some concealed memories back there. Completely had forgotten this game had existed. Unbelievable. That being said, whilst stoned as all fuck, this is some entertaining shit.
I had this and the dad one. This was definitely my favorite of the two; from the Ham speech in the beginning, to the train bit inside the house of the toy store! I did see that you missed the Star Wars reference on the train though ( I loved that too). This one had tons of great little bits of animation as well as extra moments! I miss playing this game as a kid
You forgot to click on the frog who is holding the glass of milk where he drinks the same glass and exclaims "Milk! It's good!" then the cow moos causing the frog to drop the glass of milk and say "Oops.".
(8:04) Wow, I'm surprised I missed that clickpoint in my Let's Play video of the game! I see you also missed the Star Wars click spot on the second page, like I did in my Let's Play video (one of the bolts above the vestibule door). I'm thinking doing my own no-commentary playthrough of the story including all those click spots I missed before, and the few others you missed that I had previously shown. Good to see someone else on UA-cam with this game!
8:09 Wizard of Oz references?! Did anybody notices that the people from train station didn't really give a dam about the weather? They would all be sucked out from the tornado. Fun Fact: Both Just me and my Mom and Twister were date back from 1996.
Thank you so much for uploading this playthrough! I love playing this game; it's one of my all-time favorites and it brings me back to my childhood. Which of these would you do next: the play mode of Just Me and My Dad or the playthrough of Little Monster Private Eye: The Smelly Mystery?
Probably I'll try to get Just Me and My Dad working, I'm hopeful I can fix whatever error was causing the game to crash. Since I sort of already made a start on it, I'd like to do that one as soon as possible.
I ended up doing The Smelly Mystery since I couldn't fix the issues with Just Me And My Dad. I'll definitely keep trying to get it working, but I don't know how long it will take since I don't seem to be any closer to finding a solution at the moment. Sorry about that, I didn't foresee having this much trouble getting it to run without crashing.
Based on some deductions from this and other Little Critter books. I wonder if Little Critter and his family live somewhere in the mid-Atlantic States?? Virginia seems a likely place when you consider he goes to the beach with his grandmother and goes camping with his father. New York City, which is the City that this game takes place in also wouldn't be far to reach by train from Virginia.
At 27:14-27:16 LITTLE CRITTER: This is a Tyrannosaurus Rex! The dinosaur name at the bottom of the dinosaur skeleton says, "TYRANNOSAURUS REX". That is true. But look at the arms and fingers. The arms are too long to be a T.Rex. Because T.Rex had short arms. As for the fingers, there are three instead of two. So it looks more like an Allosaurus. And only Allosaurus could have long enough arms and three fingers. But then again, it does resemble the T.Rex from the Disney movie "Fantasia-1940". Other dinosaurs in the dinosaur exhibit could be a Brachiosaurus, a Stegosaurus, a Parasaurolophus (seen), a Triceratops (seen), and a T.Rex (seen). The eggs? I think they might be Parasaurolophus fossil eggs. You want to know why? Because Edmontosaurus, Parasaurolophus, and Maiasaura were duckbilled dinosaurs. And yes, both of them could lay eggs. So because the duckbill skeleton (behind the T.Rex) was a Parasaurolophus, those eggs most certainly were Parasaurolophus eggs. I say, "Fantasia reference at 27:16". You want to know why? Because the T.REX, he has three fingers instead of two.
Also noticed that there was some click points you forgot to click on such as if you click on the other door in the Train on page 2 the fox with the Hunting Party appears there is also another one on page two if you click on the door it opens up revealing some of Little Critters friends they also say hi to him if you click on the rabbit with the hat on page to a vampire Mouse will appear also asking her if the train is the Transylvania Express there's a ton more that you may have missed I also find some of the click points on some pages kind of unfitting such as that Alice in Wonderland clickpoint on page 10 I'm sorry I just don't get the joke on why Alice is in a toy store though the other pop culture references actually do make a ton of sense on where the location is still nice video overall
Ah, I see. I can really appreciate the number of animations they put into these games, the only downside is it makes it more difficult for me to keep track of where they all are. I didn't grow up with this or the other Little Critter games either, so unfortunately I'm not really as knowledgeable about them as people who did probably are. But I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
@@johammetgamesarchive6704 Maybe I'll do my own no-commentary playthrough of this game, as I grew up with it as a kid, so I know most of the nooks and crannies throughout.
