Great video. Very thorough explanation of the parts and process. I have a TLB tractor and looking into top tilt function for a box blade. Found this very helpful.
Get it and dont turn back! By far the best invested ive made for my tractor, switching implements is a breeze now! Not to mention it basically turns a box blade into a mini road grader.
Good video, I don’t care what anyone says about the music.
Just to clarify the purpose of the power beyond sleeve, the purpose isn’t exactly as you described. Doesn’t really have anything to do with which valves get power while other valves are actuated. The purpose is to protect the outlet cavity of the valve from excessive pressure that it isn’t rated for. The sleeve creates a “through tube,” for lack of a better term, which isolates the the high pressure open center cavity from the low pressure outlet cavity inside the valve. Without the sleeve, full power beyond pressure from the open center cavity just dumps into the outlet cavity and goes back to tank. HOWEVER, and this is very important, if a downstream valve would be added in that back to tank line, it would cause full power beyond pressure to occur in the back to tank line of the upstream valve, and therefore in the outlet cavity of that upstream valve. This is why the sleeve is necessary, because the outlet cavity in that valve is only rated for about 700 psi, or so, and would blow if it were to receive full system pressure. So the sleeve is installed to create a port that is able to withstand full system pressure IF a downstream valve is intended to be used. If no downstream valve will be used, the sleeve is unnecessary because all the outlet fluid will be draining back to tank no matter what, anyway. In that situation, either of the T ports or the N port can be sent back to tank because since there is no sleeve, the N port will share the same cavity as the T ports.
There are some valves, like those machined billet ones from Summit, in which the outlet pressure rating is the same as the inlet pressure rating. Those valves don’t have the N port, and don’t need a sleeve, because even if a downstream valve were installed, the back to tank cavity is rated for full pressure.
Thats my understanding of it, i probably explained it poorly. TY for the comment
Great job, great video, I have a top link already, but making plans to order a side link Monday. Also making plans to buy a grader blade and install hydraulics on it. Again great video keep them coming.😄
Glad to hear it! Thanks will do!
Excellent content!!!
Much appreciated!
Thanks this video answers a lot of my questions
Glad to hear it!
Great job and video.
Glad you enjoyed it
i have 2 pair remotes tym t494 one spring center one has a detent. can i just use the detent and loop in a quad spool like this? thanks nice video
Wow, you have a "hydraulic shop"? I wonder what that would be like. I'm trying to get a top link installed...TSC not much help, dealer even less! Thanks for the vid.
It took some digging to find it but I finally did!
Good job Sparky. Have you set up a dual laser system with your top and tilt box blade with the 3-point hitch? Do you recommend this type of set up?
I’m going to add a 2” receiver on the box blade to be able to add a laser receiver. Duals might be a little much for only a 66” box blade. Thanks!
question!
Can I use same list of parts to install this functions in a 4066R?
Yes that will work no problem as long as you have the power beyond
Great video! I’m installing this on my Kubota and was curious, do they drift down without a check valve installed? Would you have installed a different valve to a float valve instead of a return to neutral? Since you’ve already installed this, would you have done anything differently? Thanks
It does has some drift down and a top or side link with a check valve could help. It’s very slow though. I find myself adjusting the valves more so for the job than the drift.
As far as doing things differently, this works perfect for me.
@@SparkysGarage I’m using pat’s easy hooks instead of a quick hitch. I’ve notice both extend side links about 3”. My top link now extends to 28” , adding 3” I’m wondering if I should get a longer top link. Have you had any issues? Do you still have plenty of play to adjust the top link out further? I’m look at a 21 7/8 closed to 31 7/8 extended. My original is 19 1/2 closed and 28 3/4 extended. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
@@deanr4847 not a bad idea at all. If you plan on always having the pats quick hitch then I’d definitely consider getting a top link that is one size longer.
Love that music!!1 What is it?
At what time? Several songs in this vid
It cracks me up when people complain about the music. Like they paid $49.95 for a DVD plus they had to pay for shipping and you sent it to them and they are dissatisfied with your music selection. I did not see anywhere that you said what kind of tractor you have? And I swear I watched it start to finish and did not hear you say. Maybe I missed it. I’m trying to do the same thing on a 3038E. I know that’s not what you have but I was just curious?
Thanks for the comment. This is a 3046r
What model tractor is this?
3046r
Music is annoying and unnecessary. Otherwise nice job.
I’m sorry the music is annoying but it beats listening to wind in the mic, dogs barking, train horns, airplanes overhead, and my breathing. 👍🏻👍🏻
@@SparkysGarage no it doesn't.
@@SparkysGarage it most certainly does beat those noises. Dan sounds like a prick. Lol
