I used Xiao-den in 3.5 Abyss and got my first ever 36*. I think the main benefit was to maintain consistent DPS after Xiao finished his ult. My Xiao had ER issues so this was a temporary fix.

The thing with replacing Xiao's artifacts is that those glad and shiminawa pieces are still there for someone else to use as part of a 2 piece set. You can think of it as buffing a different character on your roster. Granted, be sure you know who you're working for. Many characters can comfortably use a 4 piece and it depends a bit if you have shiminawa or glad pieces on Xiao. 4 piece shiminawa has more value than 4 piece glad I think.
my opinion bout xiao is that he's strong, cool design, good damage, cool stuff with his burst and skills. me personally will put him below kazuha(1st) but not compatible enough in current genshin mechanic which make him really not good. i like him anyway, even got r3 jade spear from standard banner T_T

C6 Xiao main here. It is very strong and potentially a more than 2x dps increase. His E targeting is tricky, but it is more of a skill thing. If you really like him, which you should, if you go for a c6 character. You will eventually be very good and consistent with it. There are a lot of small tricks with Xiao, more than any other character has. Xiao is the only character whose gameplay changes greatly depending on the enemy, which makes his skill ceiling one of the highest in the game.
C6 xiao haver here too. I can confirm, also one thing that people dont know about his c6 when talk about it is that his bad targeting is fixable by rotating your camera in a proper way - it is fundamental skill to obtain when you play him but it makes his gameplay more interesting tbh
It still is a high-skill, low reward constellation even if perfectly played compared to other C6s that doesn't require any skill imo. Playing his C6 for months since his 1st rerun I have gotten pretty consistent with it and yet even my C1 Childe international team clears any content the game has to offer faster. Not to say that he's not my favorite character anymore, but I kinda regret C6ing him i'm ngl, I shouldve went for C6 Ayato or Yelan instead. I'm coping that hoyo will revisit his constellations soon and make his C6 work on ST.
@@ciaomein757 How is it low reward? It is a single constellation, that has the potential to increase his dps by about 120% over c5, while also potentially fixing his Er problems completely. Eula's cons for example are an about 96% dps increase over c0. With no extra utility and it has rng in it. International Childe will perform better rn of course. But give Xiao some time, he will get his support. He already has the highest raw dps in the game especially at c6. His current power lvl is more of a thing of having garbage supports, than being a weak character. He performs on par with Itto, who already has his perfect weapon, artifact set and supports. His supports have such a good synergy with him, that I doubt, that they will ever be replaced. Meaning Itto has pretty much reached his max potential or is very close to it and Xiao still performing close to him proves his strength. We just gotta wait, like we did for the artifact set.

There also are 2 rounds in the abyss you just gotta use him in the right round. The plunge attack spreading them apart isn't that much of an issue to me, his dashes make him very fast too you just gotta hit 2 with you plunge and then delete them. I've been a Xiao main, since his initial release, things like that are second nature to me. My timing is very good and I almost clear every chamber my Xiao is in waaaaaay under 1.5 mins. Sometimes even in less than 30 secs. Once Xiao got his support he will easily deal 100k+ dmg per dash and plunge even potentially up to 150k. You will be one shotting most things, there won't really be any issue. And there being optimal situations for his plunge spam with c6 can also be a cool, thing, as it makes his gameplay more diverse and interesting. As I said, with Xiao you change your gameplay depending on the situation and gameplay. When there's a smaller enemy, you wanna do low plunges, to hit the extra plunge dmg. When there is a single ruin grader or guard, you wanna do high plunges, as it is easier to his the extra plunge dmg by doing so. If there are 2 or more you usually wanna plunge then jump and dash midair with a c6 Xiao. Against ruin hunters you wanna glide above their head to forces them into air strike mode and then take them down with a precise E. After that you can just high plunge or if there are more enemies dash. Etc. Etc. You basically need to analyse the situation and act accordingly. Which is a very interesting way of playing a character. I don't think 1 month of playing him will make you a master. You just gotta really get used to it.

Not to mention the amount of retries and fishing for cards that BosSam took to pull that off. As opposed to mobile enemies like rifthounds and abyss heralds - once they snap off of stagger and they move even just a little bit it can fck up your angle then you'd end up hitting only 1 of them at a time. For mobbing you'd want them to be close together as tightly as possible so you could hit more than 3 of them. These things do not concern Itto while still outputting the same, if not better than Xiao. Hence, low reward. That's my point. I already acknowledge that Xiao is a high skill ceiling character, I'm not arguing against that. I cant believe that I have to bring IWTL into this but Shintenzu (one of the most dedicated Xiao speedrunners, also acknowledges that Itto is just better) is a frequent invite in his showdown videos and Xiao just really falls short often times despite doing some of the mechanics you just listed and generating free particles at the tail end of his Q. There's a reason why Xiao have never topped any speedrunning record and it goes beyond skill expression or lack of support. He's just funtamentally fckd being a CBT character released pre 2.0 where the balancing team was not as intricate in designing character's kit and constellations. If he was released now I bet his C2 and C4 wont be this level of garbage, heck I believe his C6 wouldve worked on ST. Just take a look at another CBT character, Ayaka. Look at how busted she is.
Out of curiosity, does N1 weaving actually net you DPS if you don't need it to proc something like rain swords, assuming you don't need it for timing purposes? xiao is godly if you have c6 and his full support since he's a hypercarry and his c6 is a major upgrade sadly unless you ONLY play xiao, i don't think he's somthing you should invest too much on since he just has his one team and one team only
i use xiao with c2 fav sword jean, yea miko and millelith+thrilling tales kokomi and its working surprisingly well. also, yea gives a nice burst option

i have been farming the blizzard domain for 3 months and only got 1 *decent* artifacts... almost all of them got double def or double hp that i only found 5-6 pieces with a crit sub
i wouldnt use it over double anemo double geo, but they work pretty well together, since its one of the few buffs that's long enough to cover a huge portion of xiao's ult time. a bonus thing is that, with xingqiu, you need to delay a bit in between plunge + a to proc the rainswords, but with yelan, even a seamless quick plunge + a can proc it, which makes playing them together actually pretty smooth
Isn't Itto with C6 Gorou and Albedo is like the top 4 highest DPS in the game? I think he's fine with just C0 gorou, he certainly doesn't 'NEED' C6 gorou to be better than Xiao.
From my experience, yes. He definitely performs competitively with the best especially against larger bosses. But I feel like the reason he’s not often talked about in the same regard is because getting those units costs much more than other good teams. Also geo sucks against element shields which have been common in floor 12.
I play Xiaoden, by having Raiden with em build(I don't use raiden ult at all) and barbara(with also some em) to heal and apply hydro to get electro charge it pretty fun to play and I can beat 36 star abyss with it.
This guy helps when you want to be geeky at genshin, but, I wonder how Childe is a better pull than Xiao. I know Childe is good with taser and vape but it seems pricey to build the supports along with him who either needs Shim/HoD.
zajeff which is better zl albedo goro itto with white blind or zl albedo goro c6 red horn noelle. i have dps noelle with red horn do i go for itto or work on my secong team as itto need healer against rift hounds, where as noelle is the healer. more over u can re create ur geo cons of zl albedo if they break in between noelle q.

Zajeff i would like to inform you that you are wrong. about xiao’s and zy0x’s height. xiao is actually an inch tall and zy0x is around half an inch, which is why zy0x considers xiao tall.
will it be a DPS loss if i use widsith c2 ningguang with zhongli as double geo comp with xiao? is it better to just use ning as TTDS holder? or just replace ning with geo traveller? i dont have albedo.
What do you think of these Xiao constellation change suggestions? (With Faruzan leaks, I think he'll be getting a big enough buff anyways, but regardless): Xiao C1: same Xiao C2: when Xiao collects energy particles during burst, heal X% of ATK. (Should work with prefunneling). Xiao C3: swap with current C5 (should boost burst at C3, and skill at C5 to lean into C6 being skill focused and C0-C5 being burst damage focused). Xiao C4: on plunge reduce enemy DEF by 40% for X seconds (4 seconds?). This allows Xiao to actually buff his team's damage, giving him much better synergy with off-field dps like Albedo, Fischl, Xiangling. I think this would be a very attractive constellation. (Or could be closer to Raidens C2 instead). Xiao C5: swapped with C3, boosts skill now. Xiao C6 (revamped): On plunge Xiao gains a skill charge for each enemy hit (slight nerf for multitarget, but a buff for single target. C4s buff should more than make up for the current C6 damage though and still surpass it). No caveat for single targets - he can plunge skill plunge>skill>plunge>skill spam now. (But current C6 Xiao in multitarget can skill 4 times per plunge I believe, where the max would now be 3 instead - balanced by the new C4 adding dps value). Also make allow Xiao to generate particles during burst now, and for C6 add: only 2 skills used during burst will generate particles (or can only generate particles every 10 seconds from a skill during burst). C6 will still have access to more energy if they prefunnel, but it's not game breaking I think. But this allows C1-C5 To use their skills freely during burst and benefit from using it to reposition if needed. I think this would make Xiao a very strong character and still not surpass the top tier meta units.
In artifact overview you mentioned that artifacts below 30 substats worth replacing. Does the same logic apply to other characters? For example switching Noelle from Glad to Husk Great vid as always
I'm not great at math or logic, but I don't think it's the same situation. the exact amount of substats difference depends on the difference between the sets. vermillion was 10 to 15% better, so using other sets with enough substats to get that 10 to 15% difference is an option. let's look at raiden: even with godly substats, the difference between emblem and 2x TF+2x NO is enough for emblem to be worth it even with dogshit substats.
Not sure if anyone else asked and if this is a silly question, but what makes Albedo the best geo unit? I think I have a good idea but I'm curious as to what makes him the best unit, namely as opposed to a character like Zhongli.
albedo is self sufficient. you simply use his elemental skill and swap out. he generates geo particles, deals good damage and can be put in many teams (although he's the optimal choice in only a few teams).

That being said it just never clicked in my head that he just wasn't that good 💀 In addition I think a part of me just hasn't realized how strong Albedo is, despite literally having him in my main team and him being one of my favorite characters. i love child but my skill and ping wont let me play him optimally. vanila national and rational do more dmg for me. needing to count 7-8 sec in ur head. perfect energy funnle is to hard in 200 ping. if sukros national u can energy funnle when ever u want between her na. while in rational i dont need funnelling. all r ready to kick ass after my ei is done
It's slightly better, but not life changing, I still don't have my ult up as much as I'd like and he still needs to be batteried. Plus only 2 E's can be funneled in before the ult animation ends. If you try 3 you actually get less energy because so many of the particles are absorbed before his energy meter empties

When there is a single ruin grader or guard, you wanna do high plunges, as it is easier to his the extra plunge dmg by doing so. If there are 2 or more you usually wanna plunge then jump and dash midair with a c6 Xiao. Against ruin hunters you wanna glide above their head to forces them into air strike mode and then take them down with a precise E. After that you can just high plunge or if there are more enemies dash. Etc. Etc. You basically need to analyse the situation and act accordingly. Which is a very interesting way of playing a character. I don't think 1 month of playing him will make you a master. You just gotta really get used to it.
@@Doki_LP Triple Kenki is way too convenient as an area for comparison considering they're just basically standing there, immune to knockbacks. Not to mention the amount of retries and fishing for cards that BosSam took to pull that off.
As opposed to mobile enemies like rifthounds and abyss heralds - once they snap off of stagger and they move even just a little bit it can fck up your angle then you'd end up hitting only 1 of them at a time. For mobbing you'd want them to be close together as tightly as possible so you could hit more than 3 of them. These things do not concern Itto while still outputting the same, if not better than Xiao. Hence, low reward. That's my point. I already acknowledge that Xiao is a high skill ceiling character, I'm not arguing against that.
I cant believe that I have to bring IWTL into this but Shintenzu (one of the most dedicated Xiao speedrunners, also acknowledges that Itto is just better) is a frequent invite in his showdown videos and Xiao just really falls short often times despite doing some of the mechanics you just listed and generating free particles at the tail end of his Q. There's a reason why Xiao have never topped any speedrunning record and it goes beyond skill expression or lack of support. He's just funtamentally fckd being a CBT character released pre 2.0 where the balancing team was not as intricate in designing character's kit and constellations. If he was released now I bet his C2 and C4 wont be this level of garbage, heck I believe his C6 wouldve worked on ST. Just take a look at another CBT character, Ayaka. Look at how busted she is.
Out of curiosity, does N1 weaving actually net you DPS if you don't need it to proc something like rain swords, assuming you don't need it for timing purposes?
On a similar note, does N1C weaving plus bonk beat out pure bonk spam on a single target? I have a feeling the difference is marginal, but...

i wouldnt use it over double anemo double geo, but they work pretty well together, since its one of the few buffs that's long enough to cover a huge portion of xiao's ult time.
a bonus thing is that, with xingqiu, you need to delay a bit in between plunge + a to proc the rainswords, but with yelan, even a seamless quick plunge + a can proc it, which makes playing them together actually pretty smooth
It's somewhat relevant, but I'm not entirely sure if it's actually better than other Xiao teams yet

Isn't Itto with C6 Gorou and Albedo is like the top 4 highest DPS in the game? I think he's fine with just C0 gorou, he certainly doesn't 'NEED' C6 gorou to be better than Xiao.
From my experience, yes. He definitely performs competitively with the best especially against larger bosses.
But I feel like the reason he’s not often talked about in the same regard is because getting those units costs much more than other good teams. Also geo sucks against element shields which have been common in floor 12.

zajeff which is better zl albedo goro itto with white blind or zl albedo goro c6 red horn noelle. i have dps noelle with red horn do i go for itto or work on my secong team as itto need healer against rift hounds, where as noelle is the healer. more over u can re create ur geo cons of zl albedo if they break in between noelle q.

What do you think of these Xiao constellation change suggestions? (With Faruzan leaks, I think he'll be getting a big enough buff anyways, but regardless):
Xiao C1: same
Xiao C2: when Xiao collects energy particles during burst, heal X% of ATK. (Should work with prefunneling).
Xiao C3: swap with current C5 (should boost burst at C3, and skill at C5 to lean into C6 being skill focused and C0-C5 being burst damage focused).
Xiao C4: on plunge reduce enemy DEF by 40% for X seconds (4 seconds?). This allows Xiao to actually buff his team's damage, giving him much better synergy with off-field dps like Albedo, Fischl, Xiangling. I think this would be a very attractive constellation. (Or could be closer to Raidens C2 instead).
Xiao C5: swapped with C3, boosts skill now.
Xiao C6 (revamped): On plunge Xiao gains a skill charge for each enemy hit (slight nerf for multitarget, but a buff for single target. C4s buff should more than make up for the current C6 damage though and still surpass it). No caveat for single targets - he can plunge skill plunge>skill>plunge>skill spam now. (But current C6 Xiao in multitarget can skill 4 times per plunge I believe, where the max would now be 3 instead - balanced by the new C4 adding dps value).
Also make allow Xiao to generate particles during burst now, and for C6 add: only 2 skills used during burst will generate particles (or can only generate particles every 10 seconds from a skill during burst). C6 will still have access to more energy if they prefunnel, but it's not game breaking I think. But this allows C1-C5 To use their skills freely during burst and benefit from using it to reposition if needed.
I think this would make Xiao a very strong character and still not surpass the top tier meta units.

I'm not great at math or logic, but I don't think it's the same situation. the exact amount of substats difference depends on the difference between the sets. vermillion was 10 to 15% better, so using other sets with enough substats to get that 10 to 15% difference is an option.
let's look at raiden: even with godly substats, the difference between emblem and 2x TF+2x NO is enough for emblem to be worth it even with dogshit substats.

Not sure if anyone else asked and if this is a silly question, but what makes Albedo the best geo unit? I think I have a good idea but I'm curious as to what makes him the best unit, namely as opposed to a character like Zhongli.
albedo is self sufficient. you simply use his elemental skill and swap out. he generates geo particles, deals good damage and can be put in many teams (although he's the optimal choice in only a few teams).
@@bot-xk8nz I'm not new but I always needed it spelled out to me why Zhongli is mediocre 💀 I feel like I knew why Zhongli isn't as good as people say he is because to me he just seemed like a luxury option that was never necessary for any teams. That being said it just never clicked in my head that he just wasn't that good 💀
In addition I think a part of me just hasn't realized how strong Albedo is, despite literally having him in my main team and him being one of my favorite characters. Maybe there's some sort of internalized disregard for his strength because a lot of people loved to shit on him pre-buff but idk 🥴

It's slightly better, but not life changing, I still don't have my ult up as much as I'd like and he still needs to be batteried. Plus only 2 E's can be funneled in before the ult animation ends. If you try 3 you actually get less energy because so many of the particles are absorbed before his energy meter empties
