I remember back in WotLK I was a new player and a holy pally heading into raiding for the first time, all the guides out there at the time said "just go haste and spam flash of light on the offtank with beacon up" and I felt so 5head for instead going for bigger more efficient Holy Lights as my build and getting some of the top hpally logs for my server, only to years later learn that all the halfway decent hpallies were doing the same thing I was and ignoring the guides, because they knew what they were doing.
It is called deadmines vc was the name given to it after future expansions.
There is a special breed of vanilla players completely devoid of humor due to their need to fact check everything said about the game, including jokes, so everyone can know they're a "veteran"

@@TheTurtles89 there’s two kinds of people, there are those who called it DeadMines and those who call it Van Cleef (the name of the last boss). Reason is there’s a dungeon later in the game called Dire Maul so it can cause confusion. It’s an argument as old as wow!

@@TheTurtles89for context: the argument never made sense because one of the dungeons was for level 15-25 and the other one for 45-60 and you also called the later one dm east/west/north, you could just shift click the name ingame and would just see their level... vc makes absolutely no sense, I have no idea why some people used it lmao

Fr tho it's deadmines, like every other dungeon or raid you dont just call it by the end bosses name.

Only reason Deadmines is called vc is because of diremaul sharing initials

It’s funny when I was leveling my warrior in tbc I thought to myself how difficult this game is and I’m probably just a bad player (mix of both). Come to find out warrior was just trash to level and I suffered through the pain.
I really missed out man... I loved classic... now they are to Cata... 85 lvls? Screw that.
I defintely think the candle incident wasnt a troll, this was like the smallest pvp server during classic and im sure a lot of new or dad gamers were playing on it. The entire party keyboard turning gave me a good reminder of how bad most classic players are at the game, nothing wrong with that btw.

@@vastolorde9586 which makes no sense. No other instance or raid is this used for. Some ppl argue it's to distinguish between Dire Maul and Deadmines but this holds no water either as you have to pick a wing for Dire Maul. DME, DMW, DMN .
Uberdangers wow series is easily my favorite. Barneys was good too but UDs just has so many perfect moments
I’m watching it for the first time now after watching Barnys and it’s really funny but it just feels so much more small scale than scarab lord. Barnys script, editing, plot twists, and call backs were like on par with Hollywood feature films. Both super cool series tho!

played since OG TBC and have never heard it called VC, Its always been DM, must be an American thing
