Friends, join me today for an easy day of homemaking. These kinds of days usually happen when I wake up and don’t have a plan for what I want to get done. Whether that because of sickness, burn out, other non-cleaning things I need to get done that day, or just simply needing a day off from my normal cleaning. Some times I get a lot done, sometimes I get very little done, but what I don’t do is beat myself up!! I human and tell myself, we are on a journey of progress not perfect and it is ok!! HI, Elizabeth. I have to tell you that I'm a tad envious you can sit on the floor and then get up. My knees will not allow it. I had surgery on my right knee January 2023- I shredded my meniscus and like the true gen-xer I am, I spent 5 years "walking it off." I'm certainly paying for it now. Both knees are riddled with arthritis, which makes it hard to wrestle around with my grands. But I still clean, only I give myself a break and only do what I fee I can accomplish at the time.
Don’t be too jealous, I’m kinda in the same boat!! 😬 Only I’m too chicken to go have my knee (right one ) checked out!!
I did something to it in 2020 (felt a pop and a horrible burning sensation) and here I am babying it everyday!! I’m sure I’ll pay for it in a few years!!
But I’m proud of you!! 👍🏻 You have the right attitude and that will keep you motivated!! Remember progress not perfection!!😊

I strongly urge you to go to an orthopedist. The pop and then pain you described: exactly how mine felt, also my right. There are options.

We stayed home. My husband not able to go anywhere. Our youngest son went to work. He works in a groceries store. He had been out of work for 2 weeks so he had to go back to work that day. He had pneumonia so he was out of work. He has work there 22 yrs in August.

We’ve had so much rain lately in Texas…tomorrow is the first day of hurricane season and we’re supposed to have 2-3 hit us 🤞🏼🤞🏼 that they don’t.
I can’t wear my sons shoes lol he wears a men’s 13, and I wear a kids size 4 🤣🤣 I’d fall all over the place 😂

Your banana bread reminded me of a story. When I first moved out of my parents house, I attempted to make banana bread. I wasn’t much of a baker as you’ll see by the story…so I mixed my ingredients, popped it in the oven and set the timer. After the timer went off, the mixture was gooey and bubbly?? I couldn’t figure it out until I looked at the recipe again and I realized I hadn’t added my flour!!😂😅what an airhead!! 🤣
Thanks for the reminder that none of us are perfect and to give ourselves a little grace on those days we don’t feel as productive. 🌸
We had a rainy memorial weekend as well. However, we did have a little bit of sun on Monday which we took advantage of and grilled burgers. my son came over and we just enjoyed the evening. Have a good weekend 🌺🪴🌼

I thought if you ground beef and then put it in the freezer you get sick I’ve been told from a lot of people not my mom and grandma cause they did the same thing when I grew up make it and freeze it but a lot of people never ever ever do that you get sick so I stopped doing that I said my grandma and mom did that while I was growing up and I never got sick from it
I know I was always taught that you can’t refreeze raw meat (like let it thaw and then stick it back in the freezer) but you can thaw raw meat, cook it, and then freeze the cooked meat.
I’ve done that for years and never got sick. I think as long as you heat or reheat the meat to 165 degrees you kill any ickies in it!!
