Kinda scary how a large group can have that bias and gang up on one person to shame them while being in the wrong I feel like this happens a lot in real communities as well
@freejae3884 : Member how Joe Rogan was all up on Ukraine's ass for defending itself? Thing is, he's not the only one. You see that same behavior in schools when a geek stands up for himself against a bully. "Why didn't you tell a teacher?" "Why did you fight back?" "What did you do to make him angry?" It's like people identify with a bully in something as small as a school or massive as a country.
In high school, a girl and my roommate stole my phone, unlocks it and thoughts it’s funny. I had a conflict with my roommate but in the end, I was expelled and the girl was innocent
@chaiyatatchawaldit6045 yh that's sad. Like I sat next to this girl in a class and found out that my school equipment kept going messing then I see her with it in another class. I ask y she stealing my stuff and to give it back and she started making a scene lying and saying how her mom bought it. Trying to gaslight me. The thing that made it worse was she had multiple stuff on mines and was giving it away instead of giving it to me.
The issue is when they do the reveal if the man isn't attracted to the woman he knows he has to tread lightly or he will be villainized. Nick wasn't into Hannah and he just took the hits to not come off as the villain of the season.
For Ramses and Merissa, I can understand the hurt. She literally tried on wedding dresses, got everything prepared only for him to suddenly "not see it working." Thats got to hurt. So her reaction is valid. However its good that Ramses decided to end it when he felt it wasn't going to be long term.
@HighIntegritySkills true. He did the right thing by breaking things off even in the slightest of doubt. And she was channelling her anger and frustrations to poor Nick.
I didn’t watch the show but from how she was acting on the reunion looks like he dodged a bullet anyone who acts like that lacks grace, self respect and integrity (the way she backed Hannah)
I understand Marissa's pov as she threw her 100% into the relationship and was expecting to be married. However, she has shown that she's still healing from the fallout. Based on her support system (especially her mother), I am not surprised she took an unhealthy route to dealing with the situation. I agree that Ramses shouldn't be put under the bus, but looking at the circumstances, her reacting this way was expected. I'm not excusing her actions, btw just stating that I expected her to be unhinged with the situation still based on the factors I saw in the show.
they try to destroy Nick because Hannah was too bullied online. And i don't think the prod knew that it will be that intense. But Nick is very smart and he stay in control and calm during the reunion. He is and was love by all. And not someone you can manipulated. And who care what he wrote in his phone. His phone is supposed to be private. During this time Stephen have no consequence with his phone communication when he was with monica. they pimp his style to make him look like a nerd. and he passed under the radar. Same for Tyler. The real scandal of the reunion is Tyler who have abandonned his 3 kids to go to the show. I didn't like this season at all. i don't think i will ever watch this thing again. it's was too frustrating and not fun.
Im glad this video was made, i feel like media is hellbent on shaming men, tv has stupid incompetent husband and instagram has all types of videos on training husbands or having a boyfriend retire me or stay at home gf
To be fair it’s made for a mostly woman US audience. They’re not gonna really enjoy watching women be held accountable for very normal behavior. I am not saying you should tolerate it, but this is not far off from the average western woman nowadays.
Nick and Hannah plus this reunion were just like S3’s Cole and Zanab. Same thing - woman belittling the man, followed by a gang up at the reunion. And they glossed over Chelsea’s behavior at the reunion last season, probably bc she got enough hate on social media, but still you see the pattern of how they treat the women with kid gloves. These are grown-ass women that should be able to handle being called out. I still worry about Cole’s mental health. It’s all very triggering to me bc my close cousin had a heart attack recently. I think the turning point in his life & all the stress started when his wife blindsided him with wanting a divorce. We know her girlfriends got in her head the grass was greener & we’re egging her on to leave him bc he saw texts from recently-divorced friends she has been spending a lot of time with. But had they heard his side of the story, they might have told her to work on herself. I had a male therapist that did a role play with me where he got me to admit I sounded whiny about something at work. Brilliant way to make me check myself without insulting me. No one should be coddled when they’re dead wrong.
both men and women can gaslight and be selfish, narcissistic. The point is to own it when it's so obvious. Which is why Hannah blows my mind. Now that you mention it, the show does seem to have a long leeway for women behaving badly and not getting called out on it, while men get called out for every little mistake.
I mean its a show for women. And to bring/ maintain view, it is going to cater to women. Even in the world of therapy/counselling, there been therapists/counsellors that have came out to say that they been mentored to stick towards women side just to maintain appointments. Largely coming from marriage counsellors that have stated that they have difficulty solving couple problem cause they cannot put accountability to the women without risking their future appointments. The dilemma comes to whether help the marriage by lecturing the women hence stopping the income. Or continue to falsely be on the women side and continue the income. Most choose the income. (Edit: most relationship counselling is stop by woman. Its been found they only stop the moment the echo chamber is stopped and the heat is shifted to the women) Even whistleblowing therapists have said the reason why women tend to be more into therapy is not because they want to help themselves but rather be stuck in their echo chambers of being right even tho they are wrong. And greed is a big part why therapists give in to it just so they could maintain that income.
I knew this show was fraudulent when that guy Shake from season 2 was painted as the villain of the entire season because he wanted a woman that was smaller than him and didn't see women from his own race in a sexual way. Nevermind the fact that women on the show almost universally hope and want a man that's taller then them or the fact that all people have their types. All I'll say is that They know their audience well and they pander to them flawlessly. Anybody really thinking they're taking away genuine life lessons from a show like love is blind is a lost cause.
A bad part about shake was how he said it too. When men express anything to women we must filter it through the lens of an overly emotional person taking the message. Of course, when they communicate their preferences to us they can be overly mean, and we shouldn’t even be bothered.
I understand and agree with your points… but Hannah didn’t “invade his privacy” by looking at his publicly available (or not) fb/IG posts if she was able to see them. Imagine a chick telling people that looking at her IG was “invading her privacy” what kind of BS is that? It’s something you put out for everyone, or just your followers, to consume. You can’t be mad when they actually consume it. UNLESS she actually like stole his phone or his password and looked up not publicly available stuff like DMs.
She admitted in her story at the finale that she looked through his personal notebook because "it was just lying there on the table". That's an invasion of privacy.
@ fair point, but I was talking about the social media posts… as in the video it seemed like that was what you were referring to. All good, sorry for the mistake.
nah she was just belittling him because he didn't cook it her way. Interview details here: www.reddit.com/r/LoveIsBlindOnNetflix/comments/1gm79vi/we_can_put_it_to_bedthe_full_story_on_nick/

The crazy part is she was shitting on his looks right away. She was going on about how he was too short.
Im soooo glad somebody’s talking about this. Great video man!
Dude...excellent breakdown. The more subtle narcissists are almost always the most dangerous ones. Gotta' stay one step ahead of them.
That’s why I don’t watch this after season 2 . They always fail to hold woman accountable for whatever reason
