Lay is really hardworking and is so dedicated to dance, during his trainee days he used to train dancing with sandbag attached on him...he even hurt his waist.. he is amazing nevertheless, he hit clean, smooth and strong at the same time. I really like his dancing.
Lay is the only chinese member and one of the main dancers of exo along with kai and sehun. He has been busy doing his solo in china and has been mostly inactive in group activities since 2017 cause of some political issues between china and south korea . This is from his 3rd ep also called honey, released in 2019. All of the other dancers in this video are back up dancers not members of a group or anything. This is lay solo so the focus of camera is on him and not showing the others in some scenes completely. Lay himself says that he loves the style and is doing his part to promote Krump, he is currently on a street dance show in China where the participants are professional street dancers and the 'team leaders' are celebrity dancers. Not sure if there's any subtitles for those videos but here is some basically information for anyone wanna go check out those 4 clips: Captain cypher 4 rounds - Four captains each pick their dance genre, and then DJ will randomly pick a song on the spot, and then they have to freestyle dance according to that music (but no rule saying only hiphop to HipHop music) and then there are 4 professional dancers as judges to vote after each round and whoever gets the highest votes after 4 rounds wins. Who goes first or second - the order is up to the captains themselves who can just step in anytime. Lay said that cypher was his second time doing freestyle battle but he surprised everyone with his Krump even though he has only learned it officially for 6 months!!

The reason for the cuts may be because they needed to film this in a short amount of time. Lay is a part of exo but is currently based in China due to political tensions between South Korea and China that prevents him from doing activities as part of exo. From what I know he flew to Korea and filmed this (which I kinda don’t understand why he had to do this at Korea when he has his own studio in China where he could’ve filmed it) but the main choreographer is in Korea.

I see comments already for these artists, but maybe I can elaborate. Seventeen has the cleanest, most synchronized choreography for a larger group (13-members). They create some great visuals and the best part is that one of the members is the main choreographer. I recommend "Thanks" dance practice, but all of their choreography is worth watching. Ateez is a 4th gen group so they are newer, but they are being recognized amongst their peers for having great stage presence. Say My Name, Hala Hala, Win, and Thanxx are among their most popular choreos. Suelgi & Irene's Naughty choreo is full of tutting and/or waacking - I was impressed.
