I’ve lived in Houston since 1968. If you spit on the ground, it floods. Houston is a rice paddy (south of Houston near Rosharon farmers are raising rice!)
Does Houston have any drainage Canals? I'm from Miami where it rains a lot but the flood waters run right into our Canal system after storms like this and go into the Sea.
@@xoxxobob61 we do have lots of them. but as you know greedy city with all those officials allowing to build here in there without major improvements. so more houses, - less trees to hold the water. so it floods almost instantly. Possibly Houston already beyond any point where they can do something major right now. I would say they need to build new canals with lots of neighborhoods removal to pass the water through.
Been a Houstonian my whole life. Est. 1979. Oh course I was just a young boy, but I really don't remember it getting this bad. It's getting hotter and colder every year. We saw Snow for God's sake. Houstonians don't see real snow. I'm no Hippy now. But I think we shouldn't have dismissed all them climate change arguments.
I've lived in Houston for decades and never been in a flood. It's mostly the same areas that flood and the same people who live there complain about it but never move.
It's like that everywhere, look at the people that live in by the mountains, you think they would move after so many fires these past few years, but nope
@@DreamFearless The NOAA was showing Beryl moving further into Texas as a hurricane. But, the NOAA has been doing nothing to warn? I guess no one really cares?
Bro just stay home , why do ppl get that scared about flooding and necessities ? Im in sw too and is not flooded !! We Htown we stick together homie but you wanna go to dayton😂 keep Htown out yo mouth lil homie
that is horrible, & vehicles aren’t even designed to get wet on the inside so all those vehicles are gonna rot & grow mold & just be rancid on the interior

Naw Houston definitely floods. And is also sinking
Dayton is the last place I would go.. especially with the Livingston dam compromised
This ain’t even the hurricane yet, and they be flooding. 😮
And the worst is still to come 😮
Cars that turn into boats should be the new innovation if you are living in Houston.
That guy's car is about 2 inches off the ground, and he can't understand why it flooded out?
He learned today!
Did this guy think the supra is a 4 x 4 trying to go through the water ridiculous!!!!!!!!😂
Right😂. I have a BMW like the fool pushing his out the water. My low riding cars are the garage
He learned today!
How?? Really??? today there was nothing hardly lol smh
Sorry people, NOAA just now reported that Beryl will hit Texas as a Category 2 with only a couple hours warning?
Better safe than sorry but it still doesn't seem able to get an eye formed.

Cat 2 is nothing.
Well things can change but you already know a week in advance it was going there!!
