@@Treble3 He did nail it but sometimes its hard for me to see a child doing an adult song AND YET he sang it so genuinely that you would think he had the experiences the song was about and that is really special.

No, not golden buzzer, not quite yet. Simon knows the little guy needs some voice lessons, and it wouldn't be any surprise if he offered to pay for the child to have them. He does things like that when he sees the potential.
Give a GB too soon, and the motivation to perform even better can be impeded. But in another year---yes, that young man will be getting a golden buzzer all on his own!

@@PARoth2011 Well singing to a backing track is sometimes harder than singing without one, because you have to stay on track the whole time and when you're nervous timing becomes very difficult.

OMG!!! I am so proud of D'Corey. He is my church member and a fan of my book series, The Adventures of Li-Li. He is ALWAYS a perfect gentleman, and his mama is a jewel. I am so glad to be able to actually see this STAR in the making! I love it when AMAZING things happen for AMAZING people!

Well, your gauge for the buzzer is faulty, to be blunt. Simon knows that if the buzzer is given too soon, it can make the performer think they don't need to improve their act. The boy is very young, he does need a voice coach to help him fine tune his performance, and it's very likely that Simon has offered to give that to him---an excellent voice coach all paid for---and in another year or so, the child will be getting golden buzzers on his own cognizance.
There's wisdom in waiting and working for excellence rather than rewarding "it was good" immediately.
